April 13

RESISTING ARREST...A 24- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to the area of Avery Place and Pennock Place on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed the man- who matched the report's description- in the driver's seat of the vehicle, which was parked in the middle of the road. The man later reportedly exited the vehicle and stood in the middle of Pennock, blocking traffic. Police asked the man to move, but he refused to do so, yelling profanities. The man also reportedly attempted to bite an officer during a struggle. Police sprayed the man with pepper spray and tackled him, forcing him to the ground.

ASSAULT...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue bowling alley on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police observed the man- who matched the report's description- arguing with a female in the parking lot. Police determined that the man grabbed the victim and knocked her to the ground, causing the victim's face to strike the pavement, dislodging a tooth. The man reportedly comitted this action after the victim threw an iPod at him, striking him in the eye.

ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD/LARCENY... A 39-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza parking lot on a report of young children left unattended in a vehicle. Upon arrival, officers observed two young children- one of whom was the woman's son, and the other a niece of the woman- sitting in a vehicle with the windows rolled up in warm temperatures. Two witnesses stated that the children had been left in the vehicle for about 15 minutes. Police observed pepper spray in the vehicle in close proximity to the children. The children were also wearing winter jackets. The woman returned to the vehicle about 25 minutes later. At police headquarters, officers located several stolen items in the woman's jacket sleeve, including several pairs of socks and underwear.

POSSESSION/FALSE PERSONATION... A 27-year-old Buffalo man and a 17-year-old Buffalo female were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling southbound on Union Road withouts its rear license plate illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man did not have a license. During a search of the vehicle, police located two bags containing alleged marijuana. The 17-year-old reportedly gave police a false name, but during an investigation officers determined her actual identity.

April 14

ASSAULT...A 37-year-old Paula Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an oficer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man kicked and choked her, stating, "Let me kill you, let me kill you." The man also reportedly knocked over a kitchen table.

DWI/POSSESSION...A 41- year-old Ridge Park Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance after a police background check revealed that the man's vehicle- which was traveling southbound on Harlem Road- had a suspended registration. The man's vehicle also reportedly had a "very loud" muffler, and a traffic stop was initiated. Police observed an open beer container in a cup holder, as well as an open 12-pack of beer on the floor. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, watery eyes and "very slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test. During a search of the vehicle, police located 10 Ambien pills in the glove compartment.

POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Lee Street, Depew man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle fail to signal while changing lanes as it traveled souhbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the man was unable to produce any identification. The man also told conflicting stories about his previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, police located a plastic bag containing alleged cocaine on the floor near the front passenger seat, as well as an alleged "crack" pipe on a pile of clothes on the back seat.

POSSESSION/DISORDERLY CONDUCT...A 21-year-old Kaufman Road man and a 19-yearold Walden Avenue man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the 21-year-old yelling at the driver of a vehicle while standing on the corner of Harlem Road and Greenleaf Lane. Upon approaching the scene, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vicinity. The driver stated that the 21-yearold and the 19-year-old had smoked marijuana while riding in her vehicle earlier before she made them leave. An officer observed the 19-year-old, who was also nearby, drop a bag containing alleged marijuana. The 21- year-old reportedly became "verbally abusive" toward officers, using profanity and stating that he "had just gotten out of jail."

April 15

POSSESSION...A 39-year-old John Brian Lane man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to the man's address on a report of an individual with drugs. Upon an officer's arrival, the man's husband reportedly stated he found a "crack" cocaine rock in the man's possession. The husband reportedly gave the man the option of keeping her family or "crack," and that The man chose "crack" that night. Police located an alleged "crack" pipe with residue in the man's possession.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 20-year-old Elkins Drive man was arrested after police responded to the area of Elkins and Cedargrove Circle for a separate incident. Upon arrival, police questioned the man, who matched the report's description. The man reportedly used profanity and stated, "You Cheektowaga police are racist," as well as "I'm going to press charges on you." Several onlookers viewed the incident.

HARASSMENT...A 52-year-old Meadow Place man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had used several offensive, racist remarks toward her for several months. That day, the man reportedly threw a water bottle and candy at the victim and yelled at her.

DWI...A 53-year-old East Rouen Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Losson Road and Towers Boulevard on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arriving and interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "heavily slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

POSSESSION...A 27-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed an object hanging from the rear-view mirror of the woman's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed in plain view an unprescribed pill bottle containing 10 Lortab pills. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged marijuana in a driver's side door panel.

April 16

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 33- year-old Rosewood Terrance man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, the man admitted to "smashing down" a bedroom door. A victim stated that the man had hit her in the past and had broken a door lock twice.

DWI...A 60-year-old Slate Creek Drive woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Union and French roads on a report of an accident in which the woman's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed the woman sitting in the driver's seat of her vehicle. Two witnesses stated that their vehicle had been rear-ended by the woman's vehicle at the intersection of French and Union. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "slightly slurred" speech. The woman reportedly admitted to drinking beer at a Genesee Street bowling alley. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .12.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 24-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to the area of William Street and Union Road on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. When police arrived and conducted an investigation, the man reportedly used profanity and stated, "I see Cheektowaga is living up to its reputation again." When police advised the man to stop using profanity, he reportedly refused to do so before he was taken into custody.

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Gates Street, Sloan man, a 17-yearold Rossler Avenue male and a 17- year-old Francis Avenue, Sloan male were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Broadway gas station on a report of several males wearing ski masks in the parking lot. Police located the 19-year-old and the 17- year-olds- who matched the report's description- sitting in a vehicle in the parking lot. When asked why they had masks and bandanas in the vehicle, the males reportedly responded that they were wearing them to "scare some skateboarders into thinking that they are thugs." During a search of the vehicle, police located a bag containing alleged marijuana and a scale in the center console.

April 17

HARASSMENT/RESISTING ARREST...A 37-year-old Westbrook Drive woman was arrested after police responded to a Cleveland Drive tavern on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman started yelling at her and scratched her in the face. The woman reportedly refused to comply with police, pushing officers before she was subdued.

DWI...A 20-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve out of its lane and nearly strike a curb while traveling southbound on Dick Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "very slurred" speech. The man reportedly stated he consumed three beers earlier at a George Urban Boulevard nightclub. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Jamestown woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling westbound on Maryvale Drive with air fresheners and beads hanging from its rear-view mirror and obstructing the driver's view. A traffic stop was initiated on Harlem Road and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. Police also observed several alleged marijuana "roaches" and seeds in an ashtray. During a search of the vehicle, police located a Hydrocodone pill under the driver's seat and a bag containing alleged marijuana in the woman's purse.

POSSESSION...A 30-year-old Terrace Boulevard, Depew man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Clinton Street with several objects hanging from its rear-view mirror. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior. The man later admitted to having "some weed" in his left front pants pocket, where police located alleged marijuana.

POSSESSION...A 26-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling westbound on Broadway with its rear license plate not illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and the man was unable to produce his license. During a pat search, an officer located an alleged "crack" pipe with alleged cocaine residue in the man's pants pocket.

POSSESSION...A 53-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after a police background check revealed that the 53-year-old's vehicle- which was traveling eastbound on William Street- displayed license plates that belonged to another vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and the 53-year-old was unable to produce his vehicle's registration or insurance cards. Police observed alleged marijuana on the floor near the driver's seat. During a search of the vehicle, police also located alleged "crack" cocaine in a plastic bag.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...An 18-year-old Lancaster man was arrested after police responded to a Dubonnet Drive address on a report of criminal mischief. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that tires on her vehicle had been punctured and that a profanity had been carved into her hood the previous night. However, after consulting several acquaintances of the 18-year-old man, police determined that the man had used a screwdriver the previous night to puncture the victim's vehicle's tires, as well as to carve the profanity into the hood. The man also allegedly scratched the vehicle's truck and kicked the front passenger's side door. With assistance from Lancaster police, officers located the man at his residence.

April 18

POSSESSION...A 24-year-old East End Avenue man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with inadequate brake lights. A traffic stop was initiated near Thruway Plaza Drive and the man admitted to having marijuana in the center console. Police located two bags containing alleged marijuana and an alleged marijuana pipe in the center console.

ASSAULT...A 37-year-old First Street man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man pushed him down a flight of stairs.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 25-year-old Penwood Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Zent Court address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had refused to pick up their daughter from school in recent weeks. The man allegedly then called the victim and stated that he "just didn't feel like picking up (the child)," adding that when he does pick her up, (the victim) "would never see her again."

April 19

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 30-year-old The Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Westchester Drive address on a report of an unwelcome guest. When police arrived, the man- who was reportedly "extremely intoxicated"- became hostile, yelling profanities while standing in the street, doing so even after officers asked him to stop.

POSSESSION/RESISTING ARREST...A 44-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated near Reo Avenue and the man answered officers's questions in an unsatisfactory manner. During a pat search, the man reportedly twisted his body to prevent officers from searching his waist line. Alleged cocaine then reportedly fell from the man's possession onto the roof of a patrol car. The man briefly struggled with officers in an attempt to avoid being handcuffed. He was then subdued.

POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man using a cellular telephone while operating his vehicle northbound on Dick Road. A traffic stop was initiated on Walden Avenue and a background check revealed that the man's vehicle's registration was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a container with alleged marijuana in the glove compartment.

April 16

DWI...A 62-year-old Parwood Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed objects hanging from the rearview mirror of the man's vehicle, which was traveling westbound on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated near Dick Road and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .10. Breath test: .13.

April 17

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 35-year-old Neoga Street, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Neoga address on a report of a possible burglary. Upon arrival, police observed the man-

who matched the report's description- standing in an adjacent driveway to the residence. When police began an investigation, the man reportedly attempted to "antagonize" officers, repeatedly using profanity until he was placed in custody.

DWI...A 23-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Broadway with a loud exhaust system. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. A background check revealed that the man's vehicle's registration was suspended. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .09. Breath test: .07.

April 19

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 51-year-old Penora Street, Depew man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of criminal mischief. Upon an officer's arrival, a witness stated that he observed the man punch the front window of a victim's residence, breaking several panes. Police observed a laceration on the man's hand.
