OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION... A 24-year-old Garden Village Drive man was arrested after the man refused to exit a patrol car following a separate investigation. When officers attempted to drop off the man at his residence, the man repeatedly stated, "I'm not coming out; take me to jail."

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY... A 30-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Sandra Drive address on a report of a male trying to break into a residence. Upon arrival, police observed the man- who matched the report's description- standing outside of a kitchen window. A victim stated that she was awakened by the man knocking and banging on the front door. The victim added that the man is a customer at her store and that he had "followed her home."

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Batavia man, a 17-year-old Buffalo male, a 16-year-old Marilla male and a 15-year-old male with no address given were arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the 19- year-old travel beyond a signal stop line while heading eastbound on Walden Avenue near Pine Ridge Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the 19-year-old was unable to produce the vehicle's insurance card or registration. During a pat search, an officer located two bags containing alleged marijuana in the 19-yearold's pants pocket. During a search of the vehicle, police located a large bag containing alleged marijuana in the center console and three "nickel bags" containing alleged marijuana in the glove compartment.

TRESPASSING...A 34-year-old Linda Drive man was arrested after police responded to the area near Cleveland Hill High School on a report of a suspicious male walking near the baseball diamond. Upon an officer's arrival, an off-duty security officer stated that he observed the man pacing near the baseball diamond after school hours. Police observed the man walking near the back of the school and was apprehended near the tennis courts. It was determined that the man walked on school grounds two hours earlier and had hid from the security officer behind a snow bank. The man left and returned later to school property a short time later, resulting in the arrest.

HARASSMENT...A 53-year-old Harlem Road man was arrested after police responded to a Windwood Court address on a report of harassment. Upon arrival, an officer observed the man in his vehicle, which was parked in front of a residence. A victim stated that he was leaving his residence for work and that the man "began following him and yelling at him." When the victim called police, the man allegedly stated to him, "I'm going to put a hole in you" and "I'm going to cut your eyes out and feed them to my snake."

March 3

HARASSMENT...A 24-year-old Ivanhoe Road man was arrested after police responded to Thornton's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man threw clothing around the residence and yelled profanities. After the victim demanded that the man leave the residence or be arrested, the man left, but returned an hour later and pounded on the front door and front window of the location.

ASSAULT...A 28-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to the area of Straley and Woodell avenues on a report of an unknown disturbance involving the woman. Upon arrival, police observed a female victim with "visible swelling" on her face, and other injuries. The victim stated that the woman punched her in the face. The woman also allegedly attempted to "run over" the victim and another female with her vehicle.

ROBBERY...A 19-year-old South Transit Hill Drive woman and a 19-year-old Cathedral Lane woman were arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria clothing store on a report of a female shoplifter fighting with a store employee. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the Cathedral Drive woman concealed three store handbags into a shopping bag- while the South Transit Hill woman and another acquaintance watched- and attempted to exit the location without paying for the items. The victim then attempted to stop the pair and retrieve the property. However, the 19- year-old women allegedly pushed the victim, as the pair ran in opposite directions from the location. Police convinced the pair's acquaintance to call the cellular phones of the 19-year-old women. The pair later returned to the store and yelled at the victim because she "tried to retrieve the store items."

LARCENY...A 33-year-old man and a 38-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested after police responded to a Union Road store on a report of a male shoplifting. Upon arrival, police determined that two males had fled the location in a vehicle. Officers observed the men- who matched the report's description- occupying a vehicle that was traveling westbound on the Kensington Expressway. A traffic stop was initiated and te 38-year-old reportedly admitted to dropping off the 33-year-old earlier at a Union Road store. Police determined that the 33-year-old took $285 worth of merchandise from the store earlier in two baskets, exited the location without paying for the items and got into a vehicle that was driven by the 38-year-old. Officers located the stolen items in the vehicle. A background check revealed that the 38- year-old's license was suspended.

March 4

DWI...A 25-year-old West Third Street, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after Amherst police alerted officers about a reckless driver that was operating his vehicle onto the Kensington Expressway from the New York State Thruway. Police arrived and observed the man- who matched the report's description- talking to Amherst patrolmen following a traffic stop. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated that he consumed three beers earlier at a Tonawanda tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .18. Breath test: refused.

DWI...A 57-year-old Glenwood Court man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle not signal while changing lanes as it traveled eastbound on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated, and a background check revealed that the man's license was revoked. The man immediately exited his vehicle, but an officer ordered him to get back into his vehicle. However, the man refused to do so and used profanity. The man also refused to be handcuffed before he was forcibly subdued. Police detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the man and noticed that the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man refused to submit to field sobriety tests, an alco sensor or a breath test. A background check revealed that the man had two previous DWI convictions within the last 10 years, making this arrest a felony.

TRESPASSING...An 18-yearold Lancaster man was arrested after police responded to a Rushford Lane address on a report of damaged property. Upon arrival, police observed the man inside the residence. A victim later returned home and stated that he had "never seen the man before," adding that the man did not have permission to be at the location.

POSSESSION...A 32-year-old Windwood Court man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle turn left from Harlem Road onto the Kensington Expressway without signaling. A background check revealed that the man's license was revoked, and a traffic stop was initiated. During a pat search of the vehicle, police located alleged cocaine under the driver's seat.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 30- year-old Linda Drive man was arrested after a police background check revealed that the man- who was operating his vehicle on Maryvale Drive- had a suspended license. A traffic stop was initiated near the Kensington Expressway and police observed a credit card in the man's wallet. The man reportedly stated that he didn't know to whom the credit card belonged. Police determined through local bank representatives that the credit card had been stolen from a victim.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...An 18- year-old Rochester man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria store on a report of a shoplifter. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that he observed the man conceal an iPod in his pocket and exit the location without paying for the item. An officer located the man in another mall store.

ASSAULT...A 25-year-old Ridge Park Avenue man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute in which a female victim had been choked with a belt. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had strangled her with a belt, took every telephone in the residence to prevent contact with police, and fled the location. Police determined that the man had fled to North Tonawanda, and North Tonawanda police found the man hiding in the shower of a residence.

March 5

POSSESSION...A 29-year-old Terrace Boulevard, Depew woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle- in which the woman was a passenger- traveling northbound on Eggert Road with an inadequate brake light. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman, as well as two other occupants of the vehicle, told conflicting accounts of their previous whereabouts. Police later located alleged "crack" cocaine under the back seat of a patrol car in which the woman had temporarily been sitting. An officer also located a small quantity of alleged cocaine in the woman's coat pocket. The woman later pulled an alleged "crack" pipe from her underwear.

LARCENY...A 29-year-old Walden Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a McNaughton Avenue address on a report of theft. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had previously accompanied her to the bank while she made a cash transaction of $800. After the victim and the man returned to the victim's residence, the victim determined that the money was missing. During an investigation, bank officials sent police a surveillance picture of the man during the cash transaction, and officers were able to locate the man at his Walden residence and determined that he had taken the victim's $800.

POSSESSION...A 36-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police stopped the man's vehicle- which was traveling on Genesee Street- for a traffic infraction. The man reportedly appeared nervous and glanced toward the center console several times. The man also reportedly told conflicting accounts of his several prior arrests. With assistance from a K-9 unit, police located alleged marijuana behind the center console.

March 6

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT/ CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 24- year-old Preston Road man was arrested after police responded to an Ivanhoe Road address in response to a 9-1-1 hangup. Upon arrival, police heard a male yelling inside the residence. An officer observed the man at the location, and a background check revealed that a female victim had an order of protection against the man. The victim stated that during an argument, the man used a folding chair to strike walls of the residence. He also allegedly refused to leave the residence, even after the victim asked him to do so.

POSSESSION...A 45-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, both of Lackawanna, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling westbound on Broadway with its driver's view obstructed. A traffic stop was initiated and the man denied having his license. An officer observed a "chore boy" and a plastic bag containing alleged cocaine in plain view inside the vehicle. The man reportedly told conflicting accounts of his previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine, a chore boy and 19 Lortab pills on a passenger's seat in which the woman had been sitting. At police headquarters, an officer located an alleged "crack" pipe in the back seat of a patrol car in which the woman had sat.

DWI...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle- which was traveling westbound on the Kensington Expressway- at 60 miles per hour in a 50 mph speed zone. The man's vehicle also reportedly drifted between lanes several times, and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated that he consumed three mixed drinks earlier at a George Urban Boulevard nightclub. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

POSSESSION...A 30-year-old Hamburg man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Broadway gas station on a report of a male who had bothered Sloan residents about borrowing money for gas. Upon arrival, police observed the man- who matched the report's description- in a vehicle at the gas station. A witness stated that the man "had 'crack' on him." Police located alleged "crack" cocaine in the man's vehicle, along with an alleged "crack" pipe and a spoon.

POSSESSION/ROBBERY... A 25-year-old West Seneca man was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza department store on a report of a male shoplifter fighting with store security. Upon arrival, police observed a loss prevention officer detaining the man, who matched the report's description. The security officer stated that the man attempted to take five DVDs, valued at $334, from the store without paying for the items. When a security alarm was activated, an officer attempted to stop the man, who allegedly yelled and kicked at the officer. The officer subdued the man, and police located a hypodermic syringe in the man's jacket pocket. A background check revealed that the man had two outstanding arrest warrants.

March 7

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to an Aero Drive adult entertainment club on a report of an injured male fighting with local medical personnel. Upon arrival, police observed the man- who was bleeding profusely-

arguing with medical personnel. After police attempted to convince the man to get treated for his injuries, the man reportedly used profanity and threatened an officer with physical violence. The man was then sprayed with pepper spray. The man later reportedly spat on the floor and urinated on the wall in a jail cell.

March 8

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON...A 28-year-old Angola man was arrested after police responded to the area of Bright and Parker streets on a report of a suspicious male wearing a ski mask. Police stopped the man- who matched the report's description- walking on William Street. The man reportedly stated that he hid behind a garage on Bright earlier to "see if his girlfriend was cheating on him." During a pat search, an officer located a dagger in the man's rear right pants pocket.

GRAND LARCENY...A 19- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Union Road store on a report of a larceny. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant said a victim had come to the store earlier and stated that her credit card had been left at the location four days prior. The victim also alleged that her card was used to make several purchases at the store. The complainant investigated the matter and observed on store surveillance that the man- who was an employee at the store- had taken the victim's credit card and used it to purchase several items.

POSSESSION...A 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old man, both of Amherst, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 24-year-old traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with several air fresheners hanging from its rear-view mirror. The vehicle also did not have a front license plate, and a traffic stop was initiated near Thruway Plaza Drive. The 24-year-old reportedly told conflicting accounts of his previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, police located a bag containing alleged marijuana and 10 Oxycodone tablets on the floor.

Depew

March 1

DWI...A 20-year-old Clarence man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle- which was traveling southbound on Transit Road- at 50 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. The man's vehicle also crossed over double yellow lines, and a traffic stop was initiated near Broadway. Police noticed that the man's vehicle's was missing. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .17. Breath test: .15.

DWI...A 22-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve over a double yellow line while traveling eastbound on George Urban Boulevard. A traffic stop was initiated near Colgate Drive and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .22.
