DWI...A 29-year-old Francis Avenue, Sloan woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the woman's vehicle- which was traveling northbound on Harlem Road-

at 52 miles per hour in a 40 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated on Gierlach Street and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .19.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... An 18- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Euclid Avenue address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim denied having company. However, police located the man hiding in a closet. A background check revealed that the victim had a stayaway order of protection against the man.

HARASSMENT...A 25-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to Walden Galleria on a report of harassment. Upon arrival, police determined that during an argument, the man attempted to punch a male victim, and threw items at him. Mall security detained the man until police arrived.

ASSAULT...A 23-year-old Allison Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man pushed her, yelled at her and spat in her face. The man also allegedly punched the victim in the face while her young children watched.

POSSESSION/RESISTING ARREST...A 42-year-old Gualbert Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Union Road address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man was "in the bathroom and smoking 'crack' cocaine." A background check revealed that the victim had a stay-away order of protection against the man. Police observed the man smoking alleged crack cocaine in a bathroom. The man refused to place his hands behind his back to be handcuffed before he was subdued.

POSSESSION...A 25-year-old Crocker Street, Sloan woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman's vehicle- which had a cracked windshield- swerve out of its lane while traveling on Harlem Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman reportedly told conflicting accounts of her previous whereabouts. The woman also reportedly made several nervous glances toward the front passenger seat. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged marijuana in a handbag on the front passenger seat.

February 18

POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed while heading northbound on Eggert Road. A traffic stop was initiated near the Kensington Expressway, and a background check revealed that the man's license was expired. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged marijuana in a purse.

TRESPASSING...A 43-year-old Hamburg man was arrested after police responded to an Aero Drive adult entertainment club on a report of customer trouble. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that the man was "walking aimlessly and moving chairs," causing customers to complain. The man allegedly refused to stop moving chairs and did not leave the location before police forcibly removed him.

DWI...A 27-year-old Reo Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Westchester Drive address on a report of a male asleep at the wheel. Upon arrival, police observed the man's vehicle parked on a front lawn, with keys in the ignition and windshield wipers activated. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had "very bloodshot" eyes and slurred speech. The man refused to submit to field sobriety tests, an alco sensor or a breath test.

EXPOSURE...A 35-year-old Alden ally had to (urinate)," and that he "couldn't hold it in any longer."

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the 18- year-old talking on a cellular phone while operating his vehicle southbound on Ellwood Place. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. The 18- year-old reportedly handed an officer an ash tray containing alleged marijuana. An officer also located a bag containing alleged marijuana in the 18-year-old's left front pants pocket. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located eight bags containing alleged marijuana in the center console.

February 19

POSSESSION...A 39-year-old Linda Drive man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man was "smoking 'crack'" and struck her in the face. Police observed an alleged "crack" pipe in a butter dish in the kitchen.

POSSESSION/AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT...A 20-year-old Hillpine Drive man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the man's address to execute a warrant on the man. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had earlier made several unwanted calls to her, allegedly stating that he would "chop her head off," as well as that he "would not feed their child when he watches him." The victim also stated that the man sells marijuana to local residents. The victim later handed an officer two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana, several plastic bags, two digital scales and a knife- all belonging to the man- from a dresser drawer.

POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL UNDER THE AGE OF 21...An 18- year-old Amherst man was arrested after police responded to a Harlem Road supermarket for a separate incident. Upon arrival, officers observed the man walking toward a cash register with a case of beer. After seeing police, the man turned around and walked back down an aisle. Officers later observed the man walking away from them down aisles, then peek around another aisle. When police finally left and sat outside in a patrol car, the man exited the supermarket with a case of beer and entered a vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and the man admitted to using his relative's identification to purchase beer.

February 20

ASSAULT/POSSESSION/DWI...A 38-year-old Buffalo man, a 21-year-old Reo Avenue man and a 19-year-old Buffalo man were arrested after police responded to a Genesee Street adult entertainment club on a report of a fight involving the males. Police observed a vehicle driven by the 38-year-old- which matched the report's description- traveling westbound on the Kensington Expressway. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed an open beer bottle on the floor of the vehicle. Upon interviewing the 38-year-old, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the 38-year-old had "very glassy" eyes and slurred speech. The 38- year-old reportedly used profanity and refused to submit to field sobriety tests, an alco sensor or a breath test. A club security guard stated that the men entered the club earlier to look for a cellular phone. When the guard asked the the men to leave and stated that he would look for their cell phone, a pushing match ensued between the the men and club employees. An Erie County Sheriff Deputy witnessed the incident and approached the scene. However, the 19- year-old reportedly used profanity toward the sheriff, stating, "I'll make you bleed to death." He then allegedly took a swing at the sheriff, whom the other men punched, causing lacerations under his eye and on his chin. Police later located alleged cocaine under the back seat of a patrol car in which the men had been sitting.

POSSESSION...A 22-year-old Pine Ridge Road man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with an air freshener hanging from its front pants pocket.

February 21

TRESPASSING/POSSESSION... A 21-year-old Calderwood Drive man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Cleveland Drive convenience store on a report of customer trouble. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that the man had several times entered the store and "caused a scene and ran his mouth," again doing so that day. The man allegedly refused to leave the store and used profanity, stating, "I want my smokes and gas." During a pat search, an officer located alleged marijuana in the man's left front jacket pocket.

DWI...A 48-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Sonwil Drive address on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle sideswiped another vehicle. Upon an officer's arrival, the man stated that he didn't have a license, adding that he consumed alcohol earlier. A background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "heavily slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .22. Breath test: .26.

DWI...A 30-year-old Steven Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of French Road on a report of a reckless driver. Police located the man's vehicle- which matched the report's description- at a French address, and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .18. Breath test: .21.

DWI...A 39-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Dick Road and Chapel Avenue on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon an officer's arrival, a witness stated that the man's vehicle passed through a red light while making a right turn from Genesee Street onto Dick and sideswiped her vehicle. The man's vehicle then fled the location before stopping on Dick. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "incoherent" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

TRESPASSING...A 48-year-old Andrews Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Cleveland Drive address on a report of a burglary in progress. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had pounded on the door of her residence and yelled her name. The victim had reportedly warned the man that he was not welcome at the residence.

February 22

DWI...A 21-year-old Hemenway Road man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle facing oncoming traffic on Walden Avenue. When police approached the vehicle, the man reportedly stated that his vehicle had a flat tire and was stuck on a curb. The man added that he consumed approximately five beers earlier at an Aero Drive adult entertainment club. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.

DWI/POSSESSION...A 22-year-old River Street, Depew man and a 24-yearold Strasmer Road man were arrested after police radar paced a vehicle driven by the 22-year-old- which was traveling westbound on Broadway- at 40 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. The vehicle also nearly struck a curb and made an illegal U-turn on Reiman Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the 22-year-old, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the 22-year-old had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "slightly slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .16. Breath test: refused. During a search of the vehicle police located an alleged "crack" sion of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling on Eggert Road with an inadequately illuminated rear license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed a large quantity of alleged marijuana on the floor near the second 24-year-old woman's feet. During a pat search, an officer located two Ecstasy pills in the first 24-year-old woman's coat pocket.

POSSESSION...A 20-year-old Hoerner Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling northbound on Harlem Road with its driver's view obstructed. A traffic stop was initiated on Walden Avenue, and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. The man also reportedly told conflicting accounts of his previous whereabouts. During a pat search, an officer located a large quantity of alleged marijuana in the man's pocket.

February 23

DWI... A 48-year-old McNaughton Avenue woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the woman's vehicle- which was traveling eastbound on George Urban Boulevard- at 45 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. The woman's vehicle also reportedly swerved into an oncoming traffic lane, and a traffic stop was initiated. The woman reportedly stated that she was "coming from a bar." Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "very slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test. The woman was also uncooperative with police, using profanity and refusing to be handcuffed or fingerprinted.

DWI...A 26-year-old Houghton man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Union Road on a report of an erratic driver. Police located the man's vehicle- which matched the report's description- drifting across double yellow lines on William Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly couldn't produce his vehicle's registration. The man also reportedly stated that he consumed one beer at a Buffalo tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .17. Breath test: .23.

DWI...A 46-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle not signal while turning right from East Delevan Avenue onto Pine Ridge Road. The vehicle also had an inadequate muffler, and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "slightly slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .14. Breath test: refused. A background check revealed that the man had a previous DWI conviction in February 2005, making this arrest a felony.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 22-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after the man yelled at a patrol car while he occupied a vehicle that was traveling northbound on Dick Road. An officer in the patrol car observed that the vehicle had objects hanging from its rear-view mirror, and a traffic stop was initiated. The man reportedly screamed profanities and stated to an officer, "Come on, I'll see you on the west side, then I'll see how tough you are." While police conducted a pat search, The man continued yelling profanities and demanded that an officer physically abuse him.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 40-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to an Ellen Drive address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, the woman- who was reportedly intoxicated- acted in a "confrontational" manner, using profanity and calling an officer a "suburbanite cop." The man also yelled several ethnic slurs toward an officer before she was subdued.
