Times' Bachelor is a 'Jack of all Trades'
Williamsville resident Frank Ciura has accomplished a lot in his professional career. He's a paralegal at an attorney's office and a licensed realtor. And he once taught guitar lessons and owned his own music store. Plus, he's modeled. But he's still looking for that special woman to complete his life.
Ciura, 36, is ready to try his hand as the Times' Bachelor, a date in which he hopes to meet a female applicant interested in a shot at romance with the Lancaster High School graduate.
Ciura really enjoys music, is familiar with the local band scene and plays guitar. Prior to his paralegal career, he managed the former Daddy's Music store.
His "dream woman" would have a witty sense of humor. A female's politeness and confidence, as well as an easygoing frame of mind, can go a long way, according to Ciura.
He also dislikes materialistic women, adding that he likes the company of down-to-earth females.
"I'm looking to make some new friends and hopefully meet 'that person,'" Ciura told the Times. "It's about getting out and meeting new people."
Ciura's travels have taken him from Hollywood's tinseltown to the British Isles. In both places, he checked out musicians and bands and remains a fan of local artists.
His other hobbies include shopping, snowmobiling, reading nonfiction novels and watching the History Channel. He restores homes in Alden when time permits. And he's a "Bandit Marathon" participant, which includes joining races at different stages or cheering on other runners.
After a female applicant applies- and is selected- to
meet Frank, the pair will enjoy a complementary dinner at Wi-tinis Restaurant,
located at 5809 Broadway in Lancaster. Kristian Witka operates the eatery, along
with his wife, Kim. The pair opened the restaurant at the start of the new
year.Witka, a West Seneca East High School graduate, said the restaurant
features more than 50 kinds of beer, and
a varied and large menu.
"The (Lancaster) area is up and coming," Witka, 33, said when asked why he chose the Broadway location. "Everyone seems to be moving here."
Those interested in accompanying Ciura for the "Bachelor" date can send a photograph along with background information to the Times' office, which is located at 343 Maryvale Drive, Cheektowaga, NY 14225. Contestants may also e-mail the Times at mail@cheektowagatimes.com.
