RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT... A 44-year-old Windwood Court man was arrested after police responded to a Windwood address on a report of a fight involving knives. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. The man also allegedly stated that he was going to "get a gun and shoot" the victim before fleeing the location. Police located the man in his residence. The victim described the man as "a drug addict."
DWI...A 20-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle make an illegal left turn from a Broadway access road onto Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .20. Breath test: .19.
POSSESSION...A 43-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman's vehicle stopped for several minutes at a stop sign at the intersection of Beach Road and Laurentian Drive. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior. The woman reportedly stated "I don't smoke marijuana." Police located alleged marijuana in a small container, as well as a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana, in the center console.
DWI...A 44-year-old Laurentian Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle change lanes without signaling- nearly striking a curb- while traveling westbound on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "slightly slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .28. Breath test: .26.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 23-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to the area of Genesee Street and Pendennis Place for a separate incident. When officers arrived, the woman reportedly became irate and yelled profanities and racist remarks while several nearby residents were in close proximity. The woman reportedly refused to comply with officers' requests to stop yelling profanities before she was apprehended.
UNLAWFUL IMPRISONMENT... A 29-year-old Pheasant Lane man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that the man had refused to let a female victim and her children leave the residence.
January 14
POSSESSION...A 39-year-old Wales male, a 22-year-old Alden male, a 30-year-old Green Terrace, Depew man, and a 31-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police radar paced a vehicle driven by the Wales male- which was traveling eastbound on Broadway- at 60 miles per hour in a 45 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and none of the passengers were able to produce identification. The occupants also made "furtive movements." Each of the passengers also told conflicting accounts of their previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" pipes under the driver's seat and back seat, as well as a hypodermic needle near the middle of the back seat. Officers also located several open beer bottles on the floor near the back seat.
POSSESSION OF BURGLAR'S TOOLS/FORGERY... A 22-year-old George Urban Boulevard man and a 31-year-old Blasdell man were arrested after police responded to a Nadine Drive address on a report of two males attempting to open vehicles' doors. Upon arrival, police located the 31- year-old- who matched the report's description- hiding behind a bush at a Nagel Drive address. Officers also located the 22-year-old nearby. The men each admitted to "going through vehicles in the area." Police located screwdrivers in the 22-yearold's possession and a flashlight in the 31-year-old's possession. A female victim stated that the men had taken $58 in change from her vehicle. The 31-year-old later gave police a false name and date of birth, signing the alias on a fingerprint card. A background check, however, revealed the 31-year-old's actual identity.
RESISTING ARREST...A 19- year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza parking lot on a report of an accident involving a vehicle in which the woman was a passenger. When police arrived, the woman reportedly called police "pigs" and stated, "(The incident) doesn't concern you. This isn't a police matter. You don't need to see anyone's I.D." The woman later yelled profanities and threats toward officers, refusing to place her hands behind her back.
LARCENY...A 19-year-old Susan Drive woman was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza department store on a report of a larceny. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that about two weeks earlier, the woman- who worked at the store as a cashier- gave away $102 worth of kitchen items to a male. The woman allegedly told the complainant she gave away the items because "she hoped the male would give her his phone number," which he did not.

DWI...A 34-year-old Genesee Street man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an Andres Place address on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed the man near his vehicle. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.
AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT/ CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 49-year-old West Seneca woman was arrested after police responded to a Pebble Creek Drive address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman had made several unwanted telephone calls to him. A background check revealed that the victim had a do-not-contact order of protection against the woman. The victim added that the woman had slipped sleeping pills in his ice cream without his knowledge a couple of weeks ago.
AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT/ CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 22-year-old Brookhaven Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Loretto Drive address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had made several unwanted telephone calls to him, that included several threats of physical violence. The man called the victim while an officer was present. Police located the man hiding in a closet at his residence. A background check revealed that the victim had a do-not-contact order of protection against the man.
RESISTING ARREST...A 26- year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to an Andrews Avenue address on a report of seven males attempting to break into the residence. After police arrived and investigated several males at the location, the woman approached officers and yelled profanities while several onlookers were in close proximity. The woman reportedly attempted to pull away from officers and refused to place her hands behind her back.
POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Euclid Avenue man, a 40-year-old Orchard Park man, and a 38-yearold man and 35-year-old woman, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle- in which the four were occupants- displaying a suspended license plate while traveling on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated near Euclid and during a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine and a bag containing alleged marijuana under the back seat. During the booking process, an officer located an alleged marijuana cigar in the 19-year-old man's right rear pants pocket.
January 16
LARCENY...A 22-year-old Meadow Place man was arrested after police responded to a Duke Road shipping company on a report of stolen items. Upon arrival, police de termined that the man had been employed as a driver to pick up a prescription drug shipment from a Niagara Falls pharmacy. However, on a recent occasion, the man reportedly did not scan every item after picking up the shipment, scanning other items twice to compensate for the missing items. The man then reportedly took a package of drugs, worth $365, that had not been scanned and dropped it into a field on Grand Island Boulevard. He later retrieved the package and brought it back to his residence, selling all of the drugs in the package. The man told police later that he stole the package.
POSSESSION/BURGLARY... A 37-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Harlem Road convenience store on a report of a larceny in progress. Upon an officer's arrival, a store security guard stated that he observed the man conceal $162 worth of hygiene products in his pants. Police located the stolen items, as well as a glass pipe containing alleged "crack" cocaine residue in the man's pants pocket.
POSSESSION...A 37-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police stopped the man's vehicle- which was traveling on Eggert Road- for a traffic infraction. The man reportedly gave a conflicting account of his previous whereabouts. With assistance from a K-9 unit, police located a large quantity of alleged marijuana in the man's vehicle's center console.
January 17
DWI...A 20-year-old North Tonawanda woman was arrested after police observed the woman's vehicle drifting slightly between lanes while traveling eastbound on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes. The woman reportedly stated that she was 20 years old and had consumed two beers earlier at a George Urban Boulevard nightclub. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .13. Breath test: refused.
BURGLARY...A 27-year-old Aris Avenue man and a 42-year-old Fairfield, Connecticut man were arrested after police responded to an Aris address on a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police observed the men- who matched the report's description- rushing out of the residence and throwing items into a moving truck. Police located a machete- which had been used to break a lock on a door of the residence- in the truck. Officers also observed footprints from the pair leading to the door of the residence. In addition to the machete, police observed the following stolen items in the truck: a $1,000 television, two $200 tables, two $100 lamps and a $100 television stand.
GRAND LARCENY/CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 44-year-old North Tonawanda man, a 20-yearold Lockport man and a 42-year-old Buffalo man were arrested after police responded to a Kenville Road address on a report of a theft of copper wire. Upon an officer's arrival, a witness stated that he observed the 20-year-old acting in a suspicious manner before entering a Kenville apartment building. The witness later followed the 20-year-old and observed that the 20-year-old had kicked in a basement door and pulled back insulation. The witness later observed that $7,000 worth of copper pipes- more than 400 feet in length overall- had been placed in two vehicles belonging to the the 20- year-old, 44-year-old and 42-yearold. Police determined that the pipes had been stolen from five apartment buildings, where approximately $6,500 worth of damage had occurred. Officers located the 20-yearold and 44-year-old at the 44-yearold's residence. The 42-year-old was found at his residence.

DWI...A 23-year-old West Seneca woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the woman's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Transit Road, at 45 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated near Como Park Boulevard and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .19. Breath test: .18.
January 16
POSSESSION...A 24-year-old Harvard Avenue, Depew man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling westbound on Walden Avenue with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. Officers located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana, as well as a Diazepam pill, in the man's pants pocket.
January 17
DWI...A 21-year-old Amherst woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling northbound from French Road onto Transit Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .17.
