DWI...A 50-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Harlem Road, at 54 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.
POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle in which the woman was a passenger traveling at an "extremely slow" rate of speed while heading westbound on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from the interior. During a search of the vehicle, police located 11 Lortab pills, two Adderall
Amphetamine) pills and one Valium pill in the woman's purse. The woman reportedly admitted that she did not have a prescription for the pills.
DWI...A 44-year-old Basswood Drive woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle drifting between lanes while traveling eastbound on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The woman reportedly stated that she consumed one mixed drink earlier at a George Urban Boulevard nightclub. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .11. Breath test: refused. A background check revealed that the woman had
previous DWI conviction, making this arrest a felony.
FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT...A 52-year-old Carefree Lane man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a stolen vehicle that had been recovered by its owner. Upon an officer's arrival, the man reportedly stated that a male burglarized his residence the previous day and stole his vehicle. After officers investigated the incident, the man admitted that the male had been living with him for several months and had not burglarized the residence or stolen his vehicle.
POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Donlen Drive man and a 21-year-old Delray Drive woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling on Maryvale Drive with a loud exhaust system. A traffic stop was initiated near Cedargrove Circle and an officer observed the woman stuffing what appeared to be a marijuana pipe under a seat. During a search of the vehicle, officers located
plastic bag containing alleged marijuana under the driver's seat and
rifle on the floor of the back seat, as well as an alleged marijuana pipe and an Oxycodone pill in the woman's possession.

HARASSMENT...A 22-year-old Pendlewood Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Maryvale Drive address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man threatened him earlier and stated, "Stop following around my girl or I'll put one in your head," as well as "Next time you see me I might have something on me," in reference to a weapon. The man then allegedly followed- on his bicycle- the victim and his acquaintance to the victim's residence. The man then reportedly stated, "Now I know where you live, and you know that I live on Pendlewood." Police later located the man at his residence.
January 1
ASSAULT/POSSESSION... A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Union Road address on a report of a fight. Upon an officer's arrival, several witnesses outside of the residence stated that the man- who was attempting to leave the location in a vehicle- had assaulted a male victim during an altercation. Police stopped the man's vehicle and located alleged marijuana in his front right pants pocket. The man contended that he had been assaulted and that he head-butted a male in self-defense. Witnesses alleged that the man then pushed a female to the ground and attempted to flee the location.
ASSAULT...A 19-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Blick Street, Sloan address on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man elbowed him in the nose and punched him in the face, head and neck. When the victim attempted to call police, the man allegedly grabbed the victim's cellular phone and ripped off its cover before fleeing the residence. The victim suffered lacerations and swelling as a result of the confrontation.
ASSAULT...A 19-year-old Edgebrook Estates man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police determined that during an argument, the man forcibly restrained a victim, causing red marks on the victim's neck. The victim stated that the man also prevented her from attending to her child for approximately 20 minutes while the child was in a vehicle.
LARCENY...A 39-year-old Amherst man was arrested after police responded to a South Rossler Avenue store on a report of shoplifting. Upon an officer's arrival, several victims stated that the man took $115 worth of food items from the store without paying for them. Police located the man- who possessed the stolen items- hiding under tarp covering garbage cans in a residential yard on Shanley Street.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 57-year-old Grand Prix Drive man was arrested after a victim stated at police headquarters that the man had caused damage at their residence. The victim stated that during an argument, the man threw pork chops and a knife into the living room, damaging a picture frame. Police later located the man at his residence.
POSSESSION...An 18-year-old man and a 24-year-old man, both of Buffalo, and a 27-year-old Genesee Street man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the Genesee man traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with an inadequate muffler. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the vehicle's inspection was expired. The men reportedly told conflicting accounts about their previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged marijuana under an ash tray.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT/ CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 25-year-old Brown Avenue woman was arrested after police responded to a Brown address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman had called him approximately 15 times during the last two days. The victim added that he had previously warned the woman to stop calling him. A background check revealed that the victim had a do-not-contact order of protection against the woman.
ASSAULT...A 32-year-old Ivanhoe Road man was arrested after police responded to an Ivanhoe address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had struck her in the face the previous day- causing several bruises and scratches- and had made an unwanted visit this day.
January 3
POSSESSION/TRESPASSING... Two 25-year-old Buffalo men were arrested after police responded to a William Street auto repair shop on a report of a pair of suspicious males. Upon arrival, police observed the first 25-year-old- who matched the report's description- near the perimeter fence of the location. During a pat search, an officer located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the first 25-year-old's possession. Officers also located footprints leading to the second 25-yearold's residence, where police located the second 25-year-old and determined that he had also been involved in the incident. Officers located various saws, blades, gloves and tire irons in both of the men's possessions. The manager of the repair shop stated that neither of the males had permission to be at the location.
DWI...A 31-year-old Steven Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man stumble out of his vehicle after pulling into the parking lot of an Aero Drive adult entertainment club, holding onto the vehicle to avoid falling down. After approaching the man and conducting an interview, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly admitted to consuming seven beers earlier, and an officer located an open beer can in the man's vehicle. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.
HARASSMENT/TRESPASSING... A 46-year-old George Urban Boulevard man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue bank on a report of customer trouble. Upon arrival, police observed the man refusing a victim's request for him to leave the location. The man was reportedly uncooperative with officers, refusing to give his name or any forms of identification. A bank employee stated that the man had earlier become upset over a financial transaction and used profanity and a derogatory name toward her. When the employee told the man that he had to leave or she would call the police, the man reportedly stated, "Go ahead, we'll see what happens," as well as "Go ahead, I dare you."
ASSAULT...A 49-year-old Arthur Mussara Parkway man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man bit her hand and punched her in the head. After the man pushed the victim into the living room, the victim called police.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 19-year-old Peinkofer Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Peinkofer residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had not allowed her to leave a bedroom earlier. A background check revealed that the victim had an order of protection against the man.
January 4
POSSESSION...A 48-year-old Cowlesville man and a 45-year-old Buffalo man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 48-year-old traveling on Harlem Road with a broken tail light, as well as an obstructed driver's view. A traffic stop was initiated near Clinton Street, and a background check revealed that the 48-year-old's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, police located an alleged "crack" pipe between the driver's seat and front passenger's seat, as well as a plastic bag containing alleged cocaine to the right of the front passenger's seat.
DWI...A 33-year-old William Street woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle swerving between lanes several times while traveling southbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated, but the woman's vehicle continued traveling for a considerable distance before finally stopping. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The woman reportedly stated that she consumed approximately four beers earlier at a Broadway tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .23.
POSSESSION...A 20-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to Walden Galleria on a report of a male with drugs being held by mall security. Upon an officer's arrival, a security guard stated that he observed the man smoking what appeared to be a marijuana cigarette. When the guard approached him, the man allegedly threw a "roach" at the guard. Police located an alleged marijuana cigarette in the man's right front pants pocket, as well as five plastic bags containing alleged "crack" cocaine in the man's sweatshirt pocket.
POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Genesee Street man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Genesee Street and then southbound on Pine Ridge Road with just one headlight illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated near Pennock Place and while the man was searching for various documents, an officer observed an alleged marijuana "blunt" in an ashtray. During a search of the vehicle, police located an alleged marijuana cigarette under the driver's seat.
January 5
DWI/POSSESSION...A 21-yearold Alaska Street woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman not signal while making a right turn from William Street onto Cayuga Creek Road. The woman's vehicle also swerved into an oncoming traffic lane on Cayuga Creek, and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior and noticed alleged marijuana in a cup holder. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "slightly slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .16. Breath test: .15.
