CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 22- year-old Brookhaven Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Brookhaven address on a report of a male forcing his way into a residence. Upon arrival, police observed the man- who matched the report's description- inside the residence, along with a victim and her three young children. Officers determined that the man broke a cellular telephone and a door lock, then prevented the victim from calling police. A background check revealed that the man had an outstanding arrest warrant in Cheektowaga. The victim stated that the man was not welcome at the residence.

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after officers brought the man to police headquarters for a separate charge. During the booking process, police located an alleged marijuana cigarette in the man's front pants pocket.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 37- year-old Highview Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, police observed the man yelling at a victim. The victim stated that the man threw a chair at her. The man also allegedly broke the victim's cellular telephone.

December 18

POSSESSION...A 20-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling on Walden Avenue with an expired inspection sticker. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man had an outstanding arrest warrant in Erie County. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located two small plastic bags containing alleged marijuana in the center console and front passenger door panel.

DWI...A 22-year-old East Aurora man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a red light and nearly strike two other vehicles while traveling southbound on Union Road near Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated, but the man's vehicle reportedly kept traveling to a Walden gas station, where the man stumbled out of his vehicle and was apprehended by officers. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Police also located several open beer bottles on the floor of the vehicle. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused. A background check revealed that the man had two previous DWI convictions, making this arrest a felony.

December 19

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 41-year-old Meadowbrook Parkway man was arrested after police responded to a William Street residence on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had made many unwanted telephone calls to her in recent weeks and had called her 12 times that day. Police located the man at his residence and confiscated a shotgun and a bow.

December 20

DWI...A 42-year-old Ellwood Place woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle drift partly over double yellow lines several times while traveling eastbound on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The woman reportedly stated that she was coming from a bar, where she said she consumed four mixed drinks. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .14. Breath test: .12.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT/ASSAULT... A 22-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Pine Ridge Road address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man pushed her and also punched her in the face and the back of the head. The man also allegedly broke the victim's television. A background check revealed that the victim had an order of protection against the man.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A FORGED INSTRUMENT... A 31-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza department store on a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, police determined that the woman used a false check to purchase two cellular telephones.

POSSESSION...A 36-year-old Union Road man was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling westbound on Genesee Street with inadequate brake lights. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. An officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana inside a larger bag.

DWI...A 36-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and passing other vehicles while heading westbound on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: refused. Breath test: .08.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON...A 26-year-old Buffalo man and a 24-year-old Patricia Lane man were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the 26- year-old traveling westbound on Pennock Place with an inadequately illuminated license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the 26-year-old's license was suspended. During a pat search, an officer located a stun gun in the 24-year-old's right front coat pocket.

POSSESSION...A 29-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Wagner Avenue, Sloan address on a report of a suspicious male. Upon arrival, an officer observed the man- who matched the report's description- sitting in a vehicle in front of the residence. After police approached the man and interviewed him, the man sweated profusely and reportedly stated that he thought he was "on Lovejoy Street." Officers observed a small amount of wool, along with alleged "crack" cocaine, in a folded piece of paper on the front passenger's seat. The man later handed an officer an alleged "crack" pipe.

FALSE PERSONATION... A 22-year-old woman and 21-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the woman traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with an obstructed driver's view. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the vehicle's inspection was expired. The woman and man reportedly gave officers false names and dates of birth, but a background check revealed their actual identities, and demonstrated that the woman's license was suspended.

POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Springfield Drive man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the man's address on a report of an individual smoking marijuana. Upon arrival, police detected a strong odor of marijuana coming through windows. After entering the residence, police observed the man watching television in close proximity to a kitchen table that contained alleged marijuana.

FALSE PERSONATION... A 42-year-old Broadway woman was arrested after police responded to a Broadway hotel on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a hotel manager stated that he told the woman several times that she was not welcome at the location, but that the woman had gone from room to room and asked patrons for cigarettes and other items, also attempting to get patrons to rent a room for her. The woman reportedly acted in a belligerent manner toward police and gave officers a false name and a date of birth. A background check revealed her actual identity.

December 22

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 29-year-old Walnut Creek, California man was arrested after police heard the man yelling profanities while standing outside of an Aero Drive adult entertainment club. A witness told police that the man had earlier acted in a disorderly manner in the club by grabbing an employee, and had been ejected. The man reportedly continued to yell profanities, even after police warned him to stop doing so. The man also reportedly used profanity toward an officer.

DWI...A 44-year-old Harlem Road man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Walden Avenue and Dick Road on a report of a driver "passed out" at the steering wheel. Upon arrival, police observed the man slumped over the wheel, with keys in the ignition. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .10. Breath test: .14.

DWI...A 23-year-old Colette Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of French and Union roads on a report of a driver asleep at the steering wheel. Upon arrival, police observed the man slumped over the wheel, with keys in the ignition. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. When an officer asked the man for his license, the man reportedly handed him a $5 bill. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .15. Breath test: .16.

BURGLARY...An 18-year-old Abeles Avenue man was arrested after police responded to an Abeles address on a report of a burglary. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man broke into the residence and damaged screens on both the front and back doors. The man also allegedly stole $5,000 from behind a dresser in the victim's bedroom. Officers observed footprints around the exterior of the residence. Police later located the man at a Buffalo address and determined that the footprints matched his shoes.

POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Thruway Plaza department store on a report of shoplifting. After police arrived and determined that the woman was involved in the incident, a store manager stated that he observed the woman spit in a garbage can. Police located alleged cocaine in the garbage can in which the woman had spat.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 21- year-old Straley Avenue woman was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza department store on a report of shoplifting. Upon an officer's arrival, a loss prevention manager stated that the woman had activated security alarms earlier after exiting the store. After apprehending the woman, the manager discovered that the woman had attempted to steal nearly $500 worth of store merchandise. An officer also located two unprescribed pills in the woman's possession.

ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD/DISORDERLY CONDUCT...A 19-yearold St. Felix Avenue man, a 43-yearold Amherst man and a 16-year-old Woodell Avenue male were arrested after police responded to the 19- year-old's address on a report of an underage drinking party. Upon arrival, police observed beer cans on a shelf and located approximately 15 teenagers drinking beer. The 19- year-old reportedly admitted to purchasing alcohol and "throwing a party." The 43-year-old, whose daughter was allegedly at the party, used abusive language toward an officer and stated that he would not allow officers to take his daughter to the police station. While police were searching the residence, the 16- year-old reportedly attempted to push an officer out of the way in an attempt to flee the location.

PROSTITUTION...A 42-yearold Dayton, New York woman was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue truck stop on a report of a female going from truck to truck and beckoning to drivers "for the purchase of prostitution for Christmas money." Upon arrival, police observed the woman- who matched the report's description- crouched between two semi trucks in an attempt to hide from officers. A background check revealed that the woman- who is reportedly a "regular" at the location- had two outstanding arrest warrants in Buffalo.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 43- year-old Barnabas Drive, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Fonda Drive address on a report of a male destroying property. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument the man became irate and broke a microwave and table.

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Dean Road, Depew man, a 20-yearold Zoerb Avenue man and a 20- year-old Marrano Drive, Depew man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 19-year-old swerving between lanes while traveling northbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed in plain view an alleged marijuana pipe under the driver's seat. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged cocaine and an unprescribed pill in a contact lens case in the glove compartment.

DWI...A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Richard Drive and William Street on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed the man in his vehicle. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. The man was then taken to Erie County Medical Center by local medical personnel as a result of injuries he sustained as a result of the accident.

DWI...A 28-year-old Amherst man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Cleveland and Lamarck drives on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arriving and interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .23.

December 24

LARCENY...A 21-year-old woman, a 23-year-old woman and a 44-year-old woman, all of Buffalo, were arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza department store on a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, police observed the 21-yearold woman- who matched the report's description- in the back seat of a vehicle. Police also observed the 23-year-old woman and 44-year-old woman- who also matched the report's description- walking through a parking lot with store items. A store manager stated that she observed the three women place nearly $750 worth of store items into several bags and attempt to exit the location without paying for the items. The manager showed police the events that had been captured on store surveillance. The 21-year-old woman reportedly made several derogatory racial slurs toward officers.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 22-year-old Hoerner Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Hoerner address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man "flipped out" while he visited the residence earlier, tossing property "all over" the location. The man also allegedly damaged a door. A background check revealed that the victim had a stay-away order of protection against the man.

December 25

ASSAULT...A 49-year-old Pebble Creek Drive woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's residence on a report of a drugging incident. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman had earlier spoon-fed him a bowl of ice cream in which Lunesta and Eszopiclone pills had been hidden. The victim said he did not give consent to the woman to feed him these pills, the last of which (Eszopiclone) had been recovered by the victim from his mouth. The victim added that he had problems moving his arms and his legs after ingesting one of the pills in the ice cream. The woman later surrendered herself at police headquarters.

December 26

LARCENY...A 20-year-old Avery Place man and an 18-year-old Buffalo man were arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, police observed a store loss prevention manager holding the men, who matched the report's description. The manager stated that the men had placed $350 worth of store clothing into a bag and attempted to exit the location without paying for the items.

TRESPASSING...A 23-year-old Slate Creek Drive man and a 21-yearold Lancaster man were arrested after police responded to a French Road nightclub on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a bouncer stated that the men refused to leave the nightclub, even after the bouncer had asked them to do so. The 23-year-old then allegedly punched the bouncer in the face, and both he and the 21-year-old fled. Police located the pair outside of the nightclub.

DWI...A 36-year-old Alaska Street man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a William Street location on a report of an intoxicated driver. Police located the man- who matched the report's description- sitting in the driver's seat of his vehicle, which was in a store parking lot with keys in its ignition. The man reportedly admitted to driving recently, adding the he was now attempting to purchase a six-pack of beer. A witness stated that the man's vehicle had nearly struck his vehicle in the parking lot. A background check revealed that the man's vehicle's registration was suspended. An officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the man, who subsequently failed several field sobriety tests.

December 27

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 40- year-old Alpine Place woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's residence on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the woman threw a glass vase at the victim, breaking the item.

POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling northbound on Pine Ridge Road with a flat tire. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's license was expired. The man reportedly stated, "I've got a little bit of weed in here; it's just enough to pack a bowl." Police then located marijuana in the man's vehicle.

GRAND LARCENY/POSSESSION... A 19-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of a larceny. Upon an officer's arrival, a loss prevention manager stated that during the previous week, the woman stole $2,200 from a male employee. The manager observed the events on store surveillance. Police located three plastic bags containing alleged marijuana and an alleged marijuana pipe in the woman's possession.

December 29

POSSESSION...A 22-year-old Gualbert Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man occupying a suspicious vehicle in Town Park after park hours. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers observed the man making several "furtive movements." During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged "crack" cocaine on the front passenger's seat.

POSSESSION OF ALCOHOL UNDER THE AGE OF 21... An 18-year-old Buffalo man; a 19-yearold Waupun, Wisconsin man; and a 17-year-old Broadway, Sloan male were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the 18-year-old traveling on Harlem Road with an obstructed driver's view. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed in plain view a 12-pack of beer on the floor near the back seat. Police determined that the three suspects were younger than 21 years of age.

DWI...A 42-year-old Walden Avenue, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Dick Road and George Urban Boulevard on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed the man near his vehicle. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. The man, who reportedly admitted to drinking "too much" alcohol earlier, refused to submit to field sobriety tests. Alco sensor: .14. Breath test: .23.

DWI...A 28-year-old Edgebrook Estates woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Broadway and Dick Road on a report of an accident in which the woman's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed the woman near her vehicle. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .23. Breath test: .23. A background check revealed that the woman had a previous DWI conviction, making this arrest a felony.

December 16 DWI...A 19-year-old Messer Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a stop sign at a high rate of speed while traveling on South Ellington Street. The man's vehicle also fishtailed on Messer and struck several mailboxes, and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .14. Breath test: .18.

DWI/POSSESSION...A 22-yearold Dartmouth Drive, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the area of Warner Road and Olmstead Avenue on a report of a vehicle traveling on the wrong side of the road. Police located the man's vehicle- which matched the report's description- and initiated a traffic stop. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .10. During a pat search, an officer located a plastic container with alleged marijuana in the man's pants pocket.

December 17

POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Transit Road, Depew man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man- who is reportedly a known drug dealer- concealing unknown items while he was a passenger in a taxicab traveling near his residence. Police initiated a traffic stop and pulled the man out of the cab. Officers then located a container with alleged cocaine under a seat on which the man had been sitting. According to the police report, the man is known to "take cabs into (Buffalo) for the purpose of purchasing narcotics."

December 19

DWI...A 31-year-old Transit Road, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Transit and George Urban Boulevard on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon an officer's arrival, the man reportedly stated that his vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

December 20

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 59- year-old Walden Avenue, Depew man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of criminal mischief. Upon an officer's arrival, a witness stated that the man damaged a victim's apartment door, leaving dents and cracks. Police then located the man in his nearby apartment.

DWI...A 29-year-old Holland man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Broadway tavern on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon an officer's arrival, the man reportedly stated that he was at fault in the accident and that he had consumed two beers earlier. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .18. Breath test: .20. A background check revealed that the man's license was suspended.

December 23

DWI... A 21-year-old Williamsville woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle pass though a red light while traveling on Transit Road near Broadway. Police radar also paced the woman's vehicle traveling at 70 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .17. A background check revealed that the woman's license was suspended, as well as that she had an outstanding arrest warrant in Amherst.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 49-year-old Grand Island man was arrested after police responded to a Kibler Drive address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man made several unwanted telephone calls to her earlier, using profanity and "pretending to be in the mafia." A background check revealed that the victim had an order of protection against the man. Police later located the man at his residence.

December 26

DWI...A 50-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling eastbound on Broadway with a loud exhaust system. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes. An officer located an open beer can on the front passenger seat. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .11. Breath test: .14. A background check revealed that the woman's license was suspended.

December 27

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 22-year-old Cape Coral, Florida man was arrested after officers responded to a Transit Road restaurant to assist Lancaster police with three intoxicated, disorderly males. Upon an officer's arrival, the man reportedly acted in an "abrasive" manner outside toward police, using "abusive and offensive" language. The man reportedly continued acting in a belligerent manner at police headquarters.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 42-year-old Ellicott Place man was arrested after police responded to the man's address for a separate incident. Upon an officer's arrival, the man reportedly yelled profanities toward police, stating, "Find something better to do." The man reportedly continued yelling profanities, even after police warned him to stop doing so.
