'Thankful for' wishes from Union East Elementary School
This year's Thankful For wishes were gathered from Ms. Lillis's second grade class at Union East Elementary School. Entries include:
Avia Carnes: I am thankful for my family, Ms. Lillis, Thanksgiving, Squanto and my friends, because they are good people and things for me.
Jordan Day: I am thankful for food I get to eat and shelter because I get to live. My friends and family because they cheer me up and I love my birthday.
Zachary Draves: I am thankful for my family, my teacher and my principal because they read nicely with me and they are nice, and I like that they are nice!
Ameerah Hale: I am thankful for Ms. Lillis because school is fun. I love Ms. Wrobleski because she counts coins, adds and graphs smiles with me!
Jayson Hanson: I am thankful for Governor Spitzer, our Solar system, basketball, Hanukah and my family because I love everything about these things and people!
Nathan Harris: I am thankful for my mom and Breanna because they play Monopoly with me! I am also thankful for school because Ms. Lillis does our graphs with us!
Nicolle Hrehovcik: I am thankful for learning, Squanto, my Treasures Anthology, lunch count, and Shelby because my friends and I can get smarter! I am thankful for my family because they help me, I help them, and I love them and Butterscotch!
Justina Johnson: I am thankful for being able to go to school because I want to be a successful student and veterinarian! I am thankful for my mom because she loves me and that makes me feel so special! I am also thankful to go ice skating every Saturday!
Madison Karp: I am thankful for the Strong Museum, Union East and fun book fairs because when I am at them they are fun! I am thankful for my mom because she cooks the best brownies and my family loves them and likes to go to my uncle's farm and see the hens and pigs!
Tucson Khadem: I am thankful for our library, the earth, football and chicken because these are some of my favorites! I am thankful for my family because we ride our bikes a lot together!
Sophie May: I am thankful for my grandma's Polish food and visiting me at lunch and watching me at my dance performances! I am thankful for my family because they are nice to me, care for me and then read "The Magic Tree House" with me! I am thankful for our veterans because they fight for our freedom!
Zachary Nazzarett: I am thankful for my mom and dad because they help us a lot and go to Sabres games! I am thankful for John and Trey because they play outside with me! I am thankful for Ms. Lillis because she helps us write a lot!
Kiar Parker: I am thankful for Marvin and Dante because my brothers are nice to me! I am thankful for my mom because she cares about my Homework Agenda and reading books with me!
Kahlil Perry: I am thankful for my friends and family because we read together and I love reading! I am thankful for my grandma because she cares about me, too!
Shelby Simmeth: I am thankful for my family, friends, grandmas and Native Americans! I am thankful for the Army because they fight for our homes and freedom! I am thankful for my teacher and school because I love to read!
Lyssa Schork: I am thankful for my jewelry box, canopy bed and vanity table because I am proud of my privileges! I am thankful for my mom, Grandmie, Pappie, Sam and going to New York and walking there and riding the tan ponies in the carriage!
John Keith Sweat: I am thankful for Ms. Lillis because she compliments the class! I am thankful for my mom because she loves our family and takes me to football with my brothers Cameron and Brandon! I am thankful for my dad because he loves me!
Andrew Stewart: I am thankful for my mom because she makes the best spaghetti; my teacher, who teaches me about history; my grandma, because she helped me do my best adding and subtracting; and Squanto, because he helped the pilgrims plant corn!
Colin Walsh: I am thankful for my life because I have a nice family, cool friends and a really nice teacher! I am thankful for Shelby because she compliments everybody in the class!
Maya Whitt: I am thankful for the parks, pools and cats and dogs because they are fun! I am thankful for my mom, Jada, Tevin, Jay and dad because they are my nice family. I am thankful for school because we get to learn new stuff!
