Flyers' soccer drops OT decision to Iroquois
The Maryvale boys soccer team, seeded seventh in the Section VI Class A playoffs, gave No. 2 seed Iroquois all it could handle Saturday before dropping a 2-1 decision in overtime.
The Flyers, who opened the postseason with a 1-0 win October 24 against Albion, were trailing the Chiefs 1-0 before senior attacker Josh Hall tied the contest 14 minutes into the second half.
However, Iroquois' Eric Steinmetz scored in the extra session to end the Flyers' season.
