| After battling for first place for all of the regular season, Tri-Star Automotive of Cheektowaga and Nowak's Tavern of Sloan will battle for the Frank "Pee Wee" Price Over 50 Fastpitch Softball League's top prize- the 2007 title.
Tri-Star (8-2 overall) edged Nowak's (7-3) for first place in the league by virtue of its 2-1 victory over its rival on July 20.
Tri-Star then blanked No. 4 seed Shebeen's of Sloan, 6-0, in the league semifinals Friday at Griffith Park. Nowak's pulled out a 10-7 decision against third-seeded Haz-Mat of Tonawanda, also on Friday, to assure that the top two seeds will battle for the championship.
The title game will take place at 6 p.m. tomorrow at Griffith Park, with a cookout to follow.
Mike Carr went the distance on the mound against Shebeen's, earning the shutout.
