JULY 15
POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Ridge Park Avenue man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the area of Pine Ridge Road and Doat Street on a report of a purse snatcher. Police located the man, who matched the report's description, walking on Doat. Upon approaching the man and conducting a pat search, an officer located alleged marijuana in the man's possession.
ASSAULT...A 40-year-old Sherry Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man struck the couple's young child in the forehead. When the victim confronted him, the man allegedly grabbed, choked and pushed her.
MENACING...A 31-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Shanley Street address on a report of harassment. Upon arrival, police determined that the man had called the victim's cellular phone while the victim was visiting a friend. The man reportedly threatened to "stab and kill" the victim, adding that he would come to the victim's residence if the victim didn't come outside to fight him. The victim observed the man outside of the residence and called police. After an investigation, officers located the man walking near a Buffalo tavern.
JULY 16
DWI...A 49-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle strike a curb while traveling southbound on Harlem Road. A traffic stop was initiated on Abeles Avenue and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "moderately strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "mumbled" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .12.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... An 18- year-old Wagner Avenue, Sloan man was arrested after police responded to a Lovejoy Street, Sloan address on a report of three males kicking a vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed three males standing on top of a hill near the Sloan reservoir on Lovejoy Street. The males ran away from the location, but police later determined that the Wagner man had been involved in causing more than $250 in damages to a victim's vehicle.
ASSAULT...A 24-year-old Abeles Avenue woman was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police determined that during an argument, the woman grabbed a victim and pushed her into a railing, then slapped her in the face several times.
POSSESSION...A 33-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling southbound on Rutland Avenue with an inadequate brake light. A traffic stop was initiated and while questioned by police, the man reportedly kept glancing at the center console. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine in a pipe and a plastic bag containing alleged "crack" under the driver's seat.
JULY 17
DWI...A 40-year-old Tonawanda woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Walden Avenue address on a report of an intoxicated driver whose vehicle was swerving and traveling over curbs. Police observed the woman's vehicle, which matched the report's description, and initiated a traffic stop. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused. A background check revealed that the woman had a previous DWI conviction in February 2002, making this arrest a felony.
JULY 18
DWI...A 33-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to Transit Road gas station on a report of a hit-andrun accident in which a vehicle struck a yellow guide rail. Police observed the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, traveling northbound on Transit. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed a large yellow paint streak on the front bumper, consistent with color of the guide rail near the gas station. Police also observed vomit on the front passenger's seat. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.
LARCENY...A 19-year-old woman and a 20-year-old woman, both of Eden, were arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria store on a report of a larceny involving two females. Store personnel copied the license plate number of the getaway vehicle involved in the incident, and a police background check revealed that the vehicle was owned by the 19-year-old. Officers also observed on video surveillance the two women taking nearly $200 worth of clothing and bedroom apparel out of the store without paying for the items. Eden police assisted in locating the 19-yearold's vehicle at her address, as well as the two women, who were reportedly wearing the store clothing that they had stolen.
BURGLARY/LARCENY... An 18- year-old Linda Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Linda address on a report of a burglary in progress. Upon an officer's arrival, a witness stated he observed the man break a window screen and enter the residence. The witness also observed two females serving as lookouts. The homeowner stated that the man, who reportedly stole three video games and a pair of sneakers, did not have permission to be at the residence.

TRESPASSING...A 29-year-old Dunkirk man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria store on a report of intoxicated males giving mall security guards "a hard time." Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, talking loudly with security guards. A complainant stated the man and another male took a wheelchair designed for disabled individuals. When the complainant forced the man to leave the mall, the man returned later and was confronted by security guards.
ASSAULT/CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 45-year-old Colton Street man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of an assault. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man punched and slapped the victim in her arm, head and face. The man also allegedly kicked the victim in the head while the victim lay on the ground. A background check revealed that the victim had an order of protection against the man.
POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Springville man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police stopped the man's vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Harlem Road, for a traffic infraction. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed in plain view an alleged "crack" pipe between the driver's seat and the driver's side door. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located an alleged "chore boy" and alleged cocaine residue under the driver's seat, as well as a bag containing alleged marijuana in the center console.
JULY 21
DWI...A 31-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle cross partly over double yellow lines while traveling westbound on Clinton Street. A traffic stop was initiated near Shanley Street and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "very slurred" speech. The man reportedly stated he consumed six beers in two hours at a West Seneca tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .21. Breath test: .21.
POSSESSION...A 48-year-old Cathedral Lane man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling on Harlem Road with one headlight illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the vehicle's registration was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located an alleged "crack" pipe between the front passenger's seat and the door.
POSSESSION...A 51-year-old Walden Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man riding a bicycle that did not display reflective material. Upon approaching the man, an officer observed him stuffing an object into his pocket. During a pat search, an officer located an alleged "crack" pipe in a cigarette pack in the man's pants pocket.
HARASSMENT...A 27-year-old Beach Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man threatened her and then choked her.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 26-year-old South Glidden Street man was arrested after police responded to the man's address to escort a woman into the residence to retrieve some belongings. When the female arrived, the man reportedly yelled several profanities while several neighbors and young children watched. The man also reportedly spat on the victim twice while the victim was holding a young child.
RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT... A 56-year-old Betty Lou Lane man was arrested after police responded to a Union Road address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man struck the door of her vehicle with his vehicle's door. After the victim informed the man of what he had done, The man allegedly used profanity and called the victim a derogatory name, also driving forward in a menacing manner toward the vic tim. Police located the man nearby.

DWI...A 25-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Walden Avenue on a report of an erratic driver traveling westbound. Police located the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, traveling on Walden. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 21-yearold Blasdell man was arrested after police responded to a Main Street, Depew junk yard on a report of stolen items. Upon an officer's arrival, a fireman stated the man took approximately 3,000 pounds of angle iron from the junk yard. During an investigation, police determined that the man attempted to sell the stolen property at another junk yard.

POSSESSION/DISORDERLY CONDUCT...A 20-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the area of Transit Road and Walden Avenue on a report of an intoxicated male walking in the street. Police located the man, who matched the report's description, and questioned him. Peterson reportedly yelled profanities at officers. During a pat search at police headquarters, officers located two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana in the man's possession.
JULY 22
CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON...A 25-year-old Nandale Road man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle fail to signal while traveling southbound from Laverack Avenue onto Muskingum Street. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, police located a knife in the center console.
