In an offensive slugfest at Kelly Park, seven French Pub players recorded three hits, including Jeremy Cych (triple), Brett Owens (double), Matt Budzynski, Matt Tredo, Christian Tredo, Ryan Mock and Tyler Tant. Jim Burke added a 2-2 performance at the plate. Cych and Owens anchored French Pub's defense with strong play. Brandon Voight (3-3, triple), Austin Pilley (3-3, double), Aaron Shaw (3-4, double) and Luke Mortellaro (3-4, double) broke out offensively for Sahlen's, which suffered its first loss of the season against four wins.
Great Lake Station 19,
R&J Service 14
Great Lake Station earned its first victory of the season, as Austin Mackowiak had the big hit of the afternoon with a grand slam home run. Joe Dombrowski and Matt Klos each added two-run doubles, while Zach Ross and Conner Duck (three runs batted in) each went 3-3. Jacob Lukasik had a great game on the basepaths, and Erik Muscoreil and Anthony Taylor made key plays in the field.

Pizza Hut 10
Connor Duck pounded a grand slam homer for Great Lake Station, while Aaron Potter added a pair of hits in his first game of the season. In the field, Austin Mackowiak, Matthew Klos, Joey Dombrowski and Tyler Kowalewski each made outstanding plays.

Fowlers 15
In an offensive outbreak for both teams, brothers Cole and Dylan Belscher each went 3-3 for Sahlen's, as Cole hit a triple and Dylan, two doubles. Bryan Piwowarski, Brandon Sandel, Tyler Sekuterski, Derek Andrews and Luke Mortellaro also added three hits apiece. Alex Ferrell and Aaron Shaw each went 2-3. Sahlen's, which improved to 5-1, received strong defensive plays from Mortellaro, Cole Belscher, Zack Reinhardt, Ryan Voight, Eric Brown and Austin Pilley. Cole Belscher earned the game ball for his effort.

Master Pizza 11
On a hot afternoon, French Pub received key defensive plays from Jeremy Cych and Matt Tredo, as the infielders turned a key double play. Brett Owens led the way offensively by going 3-3 with a triple, while Cych (two doubles), Zack Pieszala (double) and Ryan Mock (double) also contributed solid performances.

French Pub started the game with a rare 6-4-3 triple play that set the tone for a strong defensive game. Jeremy Cych (grand slam home run), Colin Drilling (double), Tyler Tant, Zach Pieszala, Matt Tredo (triple) and Brett Owens (home run) each went 3-3 at the plate.

Master Pizza 21
Great Lake Station upped its winning streak to three with a close win against Master Pizza. Austin Mackowiak (grand slam home run) and Joe Dombrowski (two home runs, six RBI) each led the way offensively. On the mound, Matt Klos and Jacob Lukasik contributed strong pitching, while Aaron Potter and Aaron Schaefer made strong plays in the field. Connor Duck and Joey Dombrowski combined on a triple play.

NCAAA (#2) 6 A strong defensive game highlighted Pizza Hut's victory, as Grace Dalton, Laura Gregory, Mikayla Polino, Katie VanDette, Brooke Whalen, Brianna Gontarek, Nicole Ross, Riley Schmigel and Morgan Bakowski each made outstanding plays in the field.

Gateway Recycling 4
In an interleague matchup, Kayley Zelaski led Gateway Recycling by going 3-3 with three runs scored, while Kirsten Brady also contributed three hits. Jennifer Law and Morgan Wozniak each recorded key put-outs.

Selena Mendez made several tough plays at first base for Pizza Hut, which also was helped by solid defense from Grace Dalton, Laura Gregory and Nicole Ross. Positive team spirit, shown by Brianna Gontarek, Kali Mendez, Morgan Bakowski, Riley Schigel, Katie VanDette, Brianna Pilley, Gregory, Ross, Mendez and Dalton, also helped boost Pizza Hut's mindset in the win.

On a humid afternoon, the Gators were led by Alicia Wattie's two RBI and Brittany Bobeck's two runs scored. Fine fielding by Morgan Wozniak and Kayley Zelaski helped in a good defensive effort.

In a hotly contested tie, Pizza Hut's Selena Mendez showed her toughness by playing through an injury. Brianna Gontarek, Morgan Bakowski and Nicole Ross each contributed key hits for Pizza Hut.
NCAAA (#1) 22,
Gateway Recycling 5
The NCAAA Cardinals easily defeated Gateway, despite the losing team's game effort. Morgan Blake led Gateway by going 2-2 with one run scored and one RBI, while Jennifer Law added a 2- 2, one-run night. Heads-up fielding from Kayla Giglia and Gillian Fischer also highlighted Gateway's performance.

(May 25) Ground Level Construction 6,
Dairy Queen 5
Ground Level Construction came back to win under the lights, as a twoout hit in the last inning by Kevin Caccard was the difference. Caccard finished with three RBI.

In a losing effort, Austin Hasfurter hit his first home run of the season for Gateway. Andrew O'Neil plated Gateway's other run on a double that scored Kyle Teichmann.

Missing three of its regular players, Ground Level Construction was forced to use several farm teamers. Leading the way for Ground Level were Eric Geisel (two singles, RBI), Tyler Anna (home run, two RBI), Drew Solomon (triple), Brian Kowal (two hits, two RBI), Hunter Snyder (two hits, two RBI) and Dillon Snyder (two hits).

In an exciting interleague contest at Losson Park Diamond No. 3, Crystal Printing's "Double J" combination of Josh Schaner and Josh Katashuk sparked the victors early with key hits. Solid defense by left fielder Kyle Bork and catcher Matt Kruszewski also keyed the winning effort. Alex Zientara pitched out of a bases-loaded jam in the last inning to save the game for Crystal. Mollenberg-Betz 10 In a total team effort, Crossroads' Ryan Sears and Mitchell Herkey led the offensive outburst with four hits apiece. Patrick Rome scored three runs, and Zach Walleshauser had another solid game in the field. Mollenberg-Betz's Josh Dauer and Tom Wallen recorded their first hits of the season.

Hunter Snyder (two hits, one RBI) and Tyler Anna (one home run, one RBI) led Wrona to a close win. On the mound, Trevor Wrona hurled 11 strikeouts, while Anna added four Ks.

The loss of two starting pitchers hurt Ground Level Construction. However, Andy Wroblewski managed to pitch a solid game and earned the game ball for his effort.

At Losson Diamond No. 3, Crystal Printing eked out a close win in five innings. Mollenberg-Betz starting pitcher Ryan Kilijanski struck out five of the first seven batters he faced. Shortstop Justin Lederhouse played a solid defensive game for Mollenberg-Betz.

Crystal Printing overcame an early deficit to thump the Pro Stars, as Josh Schaner hammered a pair of home runs in the fourth and sixth innings. Colin Gemerek hit his second home run of the season, and key hits by Jacob Tomaszewski, Matt Kruszewski, Kyle Bork, Ian Wittmer and Alex Zientara also benefitted the winners. Stan "The Man" Zolnowski, Josh Katashuk, Adam Noyes, Ryan Biedron and D.J. Rowland made strong defensive plays.

Edward Martin Attorney 8
Stephanie Bobeck contributed four hits and an unassisted double play for Edward Martin Attorney, which also received strong hitting performances from Rachel Matecki (two hits), Ariana Nieves and Audrey Kyle. For St. Mary's, Amber Curtis (3-3), Nicole Szarafin (2- 3) and Julia Taboni (2-3) led the Junior Lancers' offense. Carrie Kidder earned the save by striking out the side in the last inning. Brittany Nowatzki and Katherine Orzechowski also pitched well for the winners.

In a close loss, Alexe Wodowski and Amanda Kraus pitched effectively for Schmigel & Sons. For St. Mary's, Paige Szarafin and Heather Piskadlo combined for the pitching victory, while Brittany Nowatzki (3-3 with a double) led the offense. Also, Kaila Ciesla, Julie Taboni and Amber Curtis all went 2-3, while Ronnie Rozier scored twice.

Edward Martin Attorney rallied to win after trailing 6-0. Stephanie Bobeck pitched two innings, and Audrey Kyle added a scoreless last inning to close the deal. With the win, Edward Martin improved to 3-2.

The Junior Lancers managed just two hits in their defeat, one by Carrie Kidder and the other by Katherine Orzechowski.

Bayer Health Care squeaked by with a one-run victory, as Corey Fermo received the game MVP for his game-winning RBI. Clutch hits by Justin Lutfi, Jacob Dombrowski, C.J. Alberti and James Klos also helped Bayer hold on. On the mound, Andrew Offhaus, Tyler Bierdon and J.P. DeLuca pitched effectively. Peter Scheiner and Dylan Bruno recorded important put-outs.

In a losing effort, Pizza Hut's Jeff Jaskier went 3-4 with two runs scored, while Billy Lanning went 2-3 with three runs. Gateway took control of the game with a seven-run second inning.

EMS Group blasted its way to a 3-0 start to the season, as Jon Stefaniak and Chris Reinhardt each went 4-4 with two doubles. Casey Walters added a deep home run, while Alex Lenyard poked a double. Highlighting the defensive effort was a cut-off throw to home plate on a put-out by shortstop Nathon Meyers.

Despite the loss, Bayer's Justin Lutficontributed one hit and solid defense at second base. Andrew Offhaus and Tyler Bierdon combined for three solid innings of pitching relief.

EMS Group could not hold onto its early 3-2 lead. Casey Walters and Nathon Meyers each went 2-2 with a double. Jon Stefaniak added one triple and a double, while Kyle Krzemien went 2-2 with four RBI.

EMS's Jon Stefaniak opened the scoring with a two-run single in the first inning. Other big hits during the game included: a double to center field by Shawn Wagner, a bases-clearing triple by Jacob Braymiller and a leadoff home run by Ryan Stafaniak. Also, Alex Lenyard went 2-2, while starting pitcher Casey Walters struck out six in three innings, allowing three hits. In relief, Kyle Krzemien hurled four Ks in two innings.
