PUBLIC LEWDNESS/DISORDERLY CONDUCT...A 48-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to the area of East Delavan Avenue and Andrews Avenue on a report of a woman screaming and attempting to flag down vehicles. Upon arrival, an officer observed the woman, who was intoxicated and matched the report's description, crouched down and urinating on the roadway with her pants around her ankles. The woman was also reportedly obstructing traffic. When an officer asked her what she was doing, the woman reportedly replied, "I'm a prostitute, that's what us prostitutes do." The woman added that her "pimp" hit her in the mouth earlier.
POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Arthur Musarra Parkway man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the man's address on a report of marijuana use. Upon arrival, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from an open window. Police located a bag containing alleged marijuana in the man's posciously session.
DWI/POSSESSION...A 34-year-old Amherst man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Reiman Street with an inadequate brake light. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage. When police asked the man if he had been drinking, the man reportedly stated, "It's not illegal to drive, that's all you need to know." The man completed only a few of the field sobriety tests and refused both an alco sensor and breath test. A passenger handed police two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana and cocaine and the man admitted to owning both items.

DWI...A 54-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of French and Borden roads on a report of an erratic driver. Police located the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, traveling erratically while heading southbound on Transit Road and then westbound on French Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated that he consumed one beer earlier. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .17.
POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 27-year-old woman and 25-year-old woman, both of Buffalo, were arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria store on a report of shoplifting. Police observed a vehicle driven by the 27-year-old, which matched the report's description as having left the scene, traveling on Galleria Drive. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed the 25-year-old laying on the back seat with merchandise that had been reported stolen. Police observed the clothing attached to hangers and price tags of the Galleria store. A store manager stated that the women stole $643.75 worth of clothes from the store.
POSSESSION...A 44-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle, in which Ali was a passenger, traveling eastbound on Broadway with its driver's view obstructed. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. The man and the driver reportedly told conflicting accounts of their previous whereabouts. Ali then admitted to having marijuana, which police located in his right front pants pocket.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 19- year-old Main Street, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Poinciana Parkway residence on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man came to the address and confronted her. A background check revealed that the victim had a stay-away order of protection against the man. Police later located the man at a Sable Palm Drive address.

DWI...A 27-year-old East End Avenue man was arrested after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Eggert Road, at 58 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated but the man's vehicle continued traveling and stopped in the driveway of the man's residence. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .14. Breath test: .11.
POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man acting suspi while walking southbound on Andrews Avenue. After an officer confronted him, the man repeatedly reached into his pants and sweatshirt pockets. During a pat search, an officer located a steak knife in the man's sweatshirt pocket, which the man stated he used "for protection while walking the streets late at night." An officer located 95 Dronabinol pills in the man's possession. A background check revealed that the man had an outstanding bench warrant in Tonawanda.
POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Clarence woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman stated she had medication in the glove compartment. Police located 75 Ritalin pills in the glove compartment but could not find a prescription.
POSSESSION...A 27-year-old Amherst man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound without its rear license plate illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and during a search of the vehicle, an officer located four Lortab pills.
DWI...A 21-year-old Amherst man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Aero Drive and Rein Road on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police determined that the man had lost control of his vehicle, which spun into a ditch on Aero Drive and struck a fence. Police located the man walking in the parking lot of an Aero adult entertainment club. After stopping and interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.
POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Cayuga Creek Road man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police stopped the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Pine Ridge Road, for a traffic infraction. the man reportedly told conflicting accounts of his previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged cocaine inside the driver's side visor.

LARCENY...A 36-year-old man and a 42-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested after police responded to a Union Road supermarket on a report of a male stealing several boxes of condoms. A witness stated that the male also entered a vehicle that fled the scene northbound on Union. Police located a vehicle driven by the 42-year-old, which matched the report's description, traveling on the Kensington Expressway. A traffic stop was initiated in Buffalo and police observed the 36-year-old, who matched the report's description as having fled the store, in the front passenger's seat. Officers located $50 worth of stolen condoms in the vehicle.
POSSESSION...Á 21-year-old Medina Street man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a William Street address on a report of a suspicious person in a vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, walking toward a vehicle near Medina. Upon approaching the man and conducting a pat search, an officer located an alleged marijuana pipe in the man's possession.
POSSESSION...A 24-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree after the Cheektowaga Police Department's Vice Gambling and Narcotics detectives conducted a lengthy investigation into drug activity at a Kenville Road address. Police determined that the man had been involved in several sales of narcotics at the residence.
AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 62-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Broadway address to assist the dog warden on a separate case. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had made several unwanted phone calls to her. The victim also alleged that when she hangs up the phone on the man, he mails her letters containing sexual content. Police later located the man at his residence.
TRESPASSING...A 30-year-old man and a 17-year-old female, both of Zent Court, were arrested after police responded to a Zent address on a report of the two attempting to climb through a window. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, standing in front of the address. The man reportedly stated he was "picking up mail for a friend." The man also later stated that the female had removed a screen and entered the residence. A witness, however, told police that both the man and the female had entered the residence together, adding that neither of them had permission to be at the location.
POSSESSION...A 36-year-old Clarence man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle, in which the man was a passenger, traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with an inadequate tail light. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man had an arrest warrant. During a pat search, an officer located alleged marijuana in the man's left front pants pocket.
POSSESSION...A 26-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree after the man sold alleged cocaine to an undercover police officer at a Harlem Road address. The investigation was conducted along with the New York State Police C-Net Unit.

DWI...A 28-year-old Tammy Lane man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Harlem Road, at 57 miles per hour in a 40 mph speed zone. The man's vehicle then sped up to more than 60 mph in a 35 mph speed zone on William Street before police initiated a traffic stop near the New York State Thruway. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and "occasionally slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
POSSESSION/FALSE PERSONATION... A 53-year-old man and a 46- year-old woman, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling northbound on Eggert Road with inadequate headlights. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. The woman reportedly gave police a false name, but a background check revealed her actual identity and that she had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged "crack" cocaine in the center console.
POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Hamburg man, a 31-year-old Orchard Park man and a 23-year-old Buffalo woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the Hamburg man traveling on Walden Avenue without a driver's side mirror. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the vehicle's registration was expired. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a plastic bag containing alleged "crack" cocaine in the passenger's side door panel. The three all denied owning the item and were taken into custody.

A traffic stop was initiated and the man could not produce his license or vehicle registration. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

Officers located alleged marijuana inside a diaper bag that the woman was holding. After arriving and interviewing the woman, an officer detected a mild odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .24. A background check revealed that the woman had a previous DWI conviction in January 2000 in Blasdell, making this arrest a felony.

A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, police located an alleged "crack" pipe on the passenger's side floor.

TRESPASSING...A 41-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to the Walden Avenue Superflea on a report of a disorderly person. Upon an officer's arrival, a security officer stated that the woman set up a stand in an area that she did not rent. When the security officer asked the woman to move her stand, the woman allegedly refused to do so before police arrived.
POSSESSION...A 25-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling on Richard Drive with its driver's view obstructed. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. During a search of the vehicle, police located two bags containing alleged marijuana in the center console.
POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Lancaster man, a 19-year-old Ellwood Place man and a 23-year-old Amherst man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a suspicious vehicle parked near the Cheektowaga Recreation Center. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the three men as occupants. Police located a bag containing alleged marijuana on the 23-year-old's lap, as well as a bag containing alleged marijuana in the 19-year-old's backpack and two alleged marijuana pipes and a bag containing alleged marijuana in an arm rest. Officers also found another alleged marijuana pipe and a Hydrocodone pill in the vehicle.
MENACING...An 18-year-old William Street man was arrested after police responded to a William Street address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man arrived and threatened to stab him with a knife. Police located the man, who possessed a knife, in the basement of the residence.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 47- year-old Broadway, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Broadway address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, an officer observed the man talking to a victim. The victim stated that the man earlier pulled her hair and threatened to kill her. A background check revealed that the victim had an order of protection against the man.

OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION... A 24- year-old South Kokomo Street, Depew man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a red light and squeal its tires while traveling eastbound from Transit Road onto Terrace Boulevard. A traffic stop was initiated but the man's vehicle reportedly sped up and continued traveling onto Preston Street, Litchfield Avenue and TJP Court until finally stopping. The man then reportedly ran from his vehicle and officers were unable to locate him. The man later turned himself in at police headquarters.

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Harvard Avenue man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the man's address on a report of possible drug activity. Upon arrival, police observed several youths putting items into a small box. Officers later located two pipes containing alleged marijuana residue on a dresser in the man's bedroom.

DWI...A 38-year-old West Seneca woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Transit Road and Terrace Boulevard on a report of an erratic driver. Police located the woman's vehicle, which matched the report's description, swerving in and out of its lane while traveling northbound on Transit Road near Hanwell Place. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .13. Breath test: .13.
Middle school student
caught with weapons
An 11-year-old male was arrested on May 29 and charged with unlawful possession of a weapon while being under the age of 16 after Cheektowaga police responded to Maryvale Middle School on a report of a sixth grade BOCES student bringing knives to school.
Upon an officer's arrival at around 11:30 a.m, a school administrator stated that she was informed earlier by other students that the male had put knives in his locker. When the administrator opened the locker, she located three knives with one-inch blades.
The male was taken to an inschool suspension room and was later taken into custody by police.
