MAY 6

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Wanda Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Broadway with its rear license plate lamp not illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated on Harlem Road and an officer observed three Hydrocodone pills in a pill bottle inside the glove compartment. During a search of the vehicle, police located a "bong" in the trunk.

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Orchard Place man and a 16-year-old Pinehurst Avenue male were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the two running in fields behind a Cayuga Creek Road address. After approaching the location, officers observed a bottle of rum and an alleged marijuana pipe. During a pat search, police located a marijuana pipe in the 16-year-old's possession.

DWI...A 33-year-old Avery Place man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an Eggert Road address on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police determined that the man's vehicle had traveled over a curb and crashed into a building. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

TRESPASSING...A 42-year-old Sable Palm Drive woman was arrested after police responded to St. Joseph Hospital on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that the woman had refused to leave the hospital, even after hospital staff commanded she do so.

UNLAWFULLY FLEEING AN OFFICER...A 34-year-old Kenmore man and 23-year-old Buffalo man were arrested after police attempted to stop a vehicle, which was driven by the 34- year-old and traveling eastbound on Genesee Street, for a traffic infraction. After a traffic stop was initiated, the vehicle continued traveling in an attempt to elude police. Officers were able to finally stop the vehicle on Adlon Place, and a background check revealed that the 23-year-old had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo.

ASSAULT...A 19-year-old Sandstone Drive woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police determined that the woman bit a victim's chest during an altercation. The woman also allegedly damaged a stove in anger.

FALSE PERSONATION... A 36- year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue gas station on a report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, police observed the woman, who matched the report's description, walking in the parking lot. the woman reportedly gave police a false name, but an investigation revealed her actual identity.

RESISTING ARREST...A 30-yearold Blasdell woman was arrested after police observed the woman's vehicle parked illegally on East Delavan Avenue. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the woman, who appeared intoxicated, in the front passenger's seat. A background check revealed that the woman had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo. When police attempted to take the woman into custody, the woman reportedly ignored officers' commands to place her hands behind her back. The woman also dared police to spray her with pepper spray, closing her eyes and holding her nose. Police then physically subdued the woman. The woman reportedly refused to be fingerprinted or photographed at police headquarters.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 41- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Broadway auto repair shop on a report of a dispute in the parking lot. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man yelled and used profanity toward her. A background check revealed that the victim had a stayaway order of protection against the man.

POSSESSION...A 43-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to Thruway Plaza on a report of a male panhandling. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, walking toward a Thruway Plaza restaurant. After stopping the man and conducting a pat search, police located an alleged "crack" pipe with alleged cocaine residue in the man's back pocket.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 32- year-old Olmstead Avenue, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Zent Court address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, walking eastbound near George Urban Boulevard. Police stopped the man and a victim stated that the man had repeatedly called her telephone throughout the day. The man also met and confronted the victim at the Zent address. A background check revealed that the victim had an order of protection against the man.

POSSESSION...A 45-year-old Williamstowne Court woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Union Road address on a report of an intoxicated female. Upon arrival, police observed the woman, who matched the report's description. The woman reportedly stated that she took medication. Officers located 19 Codene pills in three pill bottles in the woman's possession. However, officers could not locate a prescription for the pills.

ASSAULT...A 25-year-old Boll Street, Sloan man was arrested after police responded to the corner of Gierlach Street and Jackson Avenue on a report of an altercation. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man punched him in the face several times and also kicked him. The victim reportedly suffered a broken nose during the incident.

DWI...A 38-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Dingens Street gas station on a report of a hitand run accident in which the woman's vehicle was involved. Police located the woman's vehicle, which matched the report's description, traveling on Casimir Street in Buffalo and initiated a traffic stop. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

POSSESSION...A 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both of Hamburg; as well as a 47-year-old West Seneca man and a 35-year-old Blasdell man, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Walden Avenue gas station on a report of possible prostitution. Upon arrival, police observed the woman, who matched the report's description, enter a vehicle. After approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the four as occupants. Police also observed the West Seneca man making furtive movements as if he was trying to conceal an object. During a search of the vehicle, police located an alleged "crack" pipe. An officer also located an alleged "crack" pipe in the West Seneca man's possession. During the booking process at police headquarters, the woman reportedly pushed past a female guard and attempted to exit the station through the rear doors. The guard, however, subdued the woman and placed her into a jail cell.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON...An 18-year-old Beach Road man was arrested after police responded to Maryvale High School on a report of a male with a weapon. Upon arrival, police observed the man being treated for a scratch on his head in the nurse's office. Officers determined that earlier a school administrator had confronted the man about skipping classes the previous day. After a long discussion, the man reportedly handed the administrator a switchblade, which the administrator placed on his desk. After the man was brought to a suspension room, the man later left and fled the building, taking back the knife from the administrator's desk. The administrator located the man outside, where the man ran and tripped over a curb, injuring himself. The administrator subdued the man, and police located the switchblade in the man's pocket while he was treated in the nurse's office.

POSSESSION...A 26-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police stopped the woman's vehicle, which was traveling on Union Road near South Creek Drive, for a traffic infraction. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located an alleged marijuana "blunt" in an ashtray.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 28-year-old Haller Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Santin Drive address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had called her cellular phone several times and made threats. Police later located the man at his residence.

HARASSMENT...A 33-year-old Duchess Court man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man pushed her during an argument, then grabbed the telephone when the victim tried to call police.

POSSESSION...A 34-year-old Alden man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling eastbound on Broadway with a loud exhaust system and an "unreadable" license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed an alleged "crack" cocaine rock on the floor. During a search of the vehicle, police located a "chore boy" and alleged cocaine residue in the center console.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 27- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Windwood Court address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon arrival, police observed the man standing outside a door to a victim's residence. The man stated he was there "because he had no other place to go." A background check revealed that the victim had a stay-away order of protection against the man.

LARCENY...A 40-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue department store on a report of stolen property. Upon arrival, police determined that the man, who was working overnight at the store, stole $84 worth of clothing. Police observed the larceny take place on a store videotape.

ROBBERY...A 44-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Union Road liquor store in an attempt to locate a man who stole two bottles of liquor and pushed a manager. Police observed the man, who matched the report's description, driving his vehicle northbound on Union. A traffic stop was initiated but the man's vehicle continued traveling westbound on Genesee Street at Floral Place, reaching speeds as fast as 80 miles per hour in a 40 mph speed zone. The man's vehicle also passed through a red light on the corner of Genesee and Pine Ridge Road as it traveled into Buffalo. With assistance from Buffalo police, officers located the man at a Cornwall Street, Buffalo address. There, police found the man, who was wearing only underwear, in a closet. The liquor store manager stated that the man stole $78 worth of liquor, pushed him and fled the location.

POSSESSION...A 29-year-old Williamsville man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling southbound on Pine Ridge Road with an inadequately illuminated license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and the man reportedly threw a Hydrocodone pill from his vehicle.

DWI/POSSESSION...A 37-year-old Garden Village Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police radar paced man's vehicle, which was traveling westbound on French Road, at 50 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the man stated he consumed three beers earlier at a friend's house. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused. During a pat search, an officer located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the man's right pants pocket.

GRAND LARCENY...A 40-yearold man, a 42-year-old man, 27-year-old man and 31-year-old man, all of Buffalo, were arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue department store on a report of a larceny. Upon an officer's arrival, a loss prevention manager stated that the four men, who worked as overnight cleaners at the store, took $1,250 worth of stereo equipment from the store. The manager showed police a videotape depicting the larceny.

DWI...A 26-year-old Alabama, New York man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Freda Avenue address on a report of a hit-and-run accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Police observed the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, parked at a Harlem Road tavern. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the man sitting in the driver's seat with an open beer bottle on his lap. The man reportedly stated he struck another vehicle with his vehicle, then fled the location. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.

HARASSMENT...A 26-year-old Slate Creek Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a female screaming. Upon arrival, police determined that the man had "pushed a victim around."

DWI...A 39-year-old Rowley Road man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after the man's vehicle passed through a DWI checkpoint on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

DWAI BY DRUGS...An 18-year-old Poinciana Parkway man was arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs after the man passed through a DWI checkpoint on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed the man displaying common signs of drug use. Police also observed narcotics in plain view and the man was taken into custody.

POSSESSION...A 21-year-old French Road woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after the woman passed through a DWI checkpoint on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the woman's license was suspended. The woman reportedly told police she had cocaine in her purse, where an officer located an envelope containing a small amount of the alleged item. Police also located a plastic straw containing alleged cocaine residue in the woman's purse.

DWI...A 39-year-old Castlewood Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a red light at the corner of Union Road and George Urban Boulevard. A traffic stop was initiated and the man reportedly stated he was "driving from a bar." Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "very slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test. The man used profanity toward an officer and also shouted both ethnic and racial slurs. At police headquarters, the man refused to be photographed or fingerprinted.

LARCENY...A 25-year-old Mississauga, Ontario woman was arrested after police responded to a Union Road department store on a report of a shoplifter giving store security "a hard time." Upon an officer's arrival, a loss prevention manager stated the woman took $184 worth of clothing and attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. The manager stopped the woman and held her before police arrived.

POSSESSION...A 20-year-old Andrews Avenue man, an 18-year-old Atlantic Avenue, Sloan man, a 19-yearold Halstead Avenue, Sloan; and a 17- year-old Buffalo female were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to Griffith Park in Sloan on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arriving and approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the four as occupants. The officer also detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. After police questioned the four, the Halstead man reportedly handed an officer a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana. Officers also located alleged marijuana in the glove compartment.

POSSESSION...A 22-year-old Elmira woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling on Maryvale Drive near Harlem Road with a rear license plate that was not illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. The woman reportedly stated she was coming from a party in which several individuals had smoked marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a small plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the woman's purse.

HARASSMENT....A 38-year-old Cloyes Avenue, Depew man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police observed a victim inside the residence, as well as the man outside. The victim stated that the man shoved her into a closet, causing swelling on her elbow.

MAY 7

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 25-year-old Laverack Avenue, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Laverack address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon arrival, police determined that the man had been involved in an incident. The man reportedly refused to enter a patrol car and later used profanity toward officers at police headquarters. Police had to physically subdue the man.

MAY 9

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT... A 24-year-old Gould Avenue, Depew man was arrested after police radar paced a vehicle driven by the man, which was traveling eastbound on Main Street, at 50 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated but the vehicle continued traveling at a high rate of speed, nearly striking another officer and heading down several residential streets before stopping at a Lancaster address.

POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Autumn Lea Road, Depew man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Penora Street, Depew address on a report of a possible drug deal. Upon arrival, police observed two males exit a residence and enter a vehicle. When police approached the vehicle, the man reportedly threw two bags containing alleged marijuana to the ground. The man then admitted to purchasing two bags of marijuana from a female at the Penora address.

Maryvale student arrested after being caught with "pot"

A 16-year-old Sandra Drive male was arrested May 8 after police responded to Maryvale High School on a report of a student possessing marijuana.

After an officer arrived around 12:30 p.m., a school administrator stated that he obtained information from two students that the male was carrying marijuana.

When the administrator confronted the male outside of a class, the male reportedly handed the complainant a small plastic bag containing alleged marijuana. The male was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.
