CHEEKTOWAGA

MARCH 18

DWI...A 34-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman talking on a cellular phone while driving her vehicle westbound onto Clinton Street from Harlem Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .14.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 22- year-old South Siene Drive man was arrested after police responded to a South Glidden Street address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, police observed the man, who had reportedly been involved in the incident, traveling in a vehicle that was heading away from the residence at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated and a victim stated the man had grabbed her and damaged her stereo and refrigerator. The man also allegedly held a knife to the victim and yelled loudly.

ASSAULT...A 43-year-old Alpine Place woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman pushed and scratched him during an argument. The woman also allegedly stabbed the victim with a knife, which police located on the floor.

DWI...A 27-year-old Kenmore woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle swerve and nearly strike a patrol car while traveling southbound on Harlem Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .14.

MARCH 19

HARASSMENT...A 35-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Meadowbrook Parkway address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman shouted profanities at her and slapped her in the face.

POSSESSION/CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 60-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza department store on a report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, exit the store, setting off security alarms. An officer stopped the man and found $117 worth of stolen tools in the man's jacket, as well as Naloxone, in the man's pants. A background check revealed that the man had an outstanding arrest warrant in Hamburg. Colton Street man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man struck her several times during an argument.

DWI...A 65-year-old Yvonne Avenue woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Yvonne address on a report of a hit-andrun accident in which the woman's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, an officer observed the woman near her vehicle. While interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .11.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON...A 26-year-old West Seneca man was arrested after police stopped the man's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue, for a traffic infraction. The man reportedly told conflicting accounts of his previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, police located plastic bags containing alleged cocaine and alleged marijuana, as well as a dagger, in the center console.

ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD... A 33-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to Thruway Plaza on a report of children left in a vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed two young children in a vehicle. The woman returned to the vehicle approximately 30 minutes later and was taken into custody.

MARCH 20

POSSESSION...A 28-year-old Cannas Court man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police arrested the man on a separate charge at a French Road address. During a pat search, an officer located three Hydrocodone pills in the man's jacket pocket.

ASSAULT...A 28-year-old Garden Village Drive woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman bit his shoulder during an argument, causing a red mark.

POSSESSION...A 31-year-old man and 53-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Sandstone Drive address on a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, police observed the men in a vehicle outside the residence. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed a large plastic bag with several smaller bags containing alleged marijuana sticking out of the 53-year-old's pocket. A background check revealed that both the men had arrest warrants in Buffalo. Police later observed the 31- year-old toss a bag containing alleged "crack" cocaine near a jail cell. An officer then located two small plastic bags containing alleged cocaine in the 31- year-old's possession.

HARASSMENT...A 61-year-old Halstead Avenue, Sloan was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man punched her in the face several times "for no reason."

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 20-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Maryvale Drive address on a 9-1-1 call. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that the woman came to the residence and "beat up" a victim. The woman also allegedly yelled profanities and had to be physically restrained by police from attacking the victim again.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 42- year-old Cherokee Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man scratched his vehicle's window with keys during an argument.

MARCH 21

POSSESSION...A 30-year-old Union Road man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling westbound on Cleveland Drive, at 15 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated near Fairhaven Drive and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. During a pat search, alleged cocaine fell from the man's right pants leg. During a search of the vehicle, police located a pipe containing alleged cocaine residue near the driver's seat, as well as a plastic bag containing alleged cocaine in a cigarette pack on the front passenger's seat.

POSSESSION...A 41-year-old Muskingum Street, Depew woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after a female guard located a Codein pill in the woman's purse while the woman was being charged in Town Court for a separate case.

POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man not wearing a seat belt while operating his vehicle on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's vehicle's insurance was invalid. Police observed two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana on the floor near the driver's seat.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 38- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Losson Garden Drive address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man hit and choked her during an argument. The man also allegedly kicked the victim's stomach, punched her and threw her against a wall.

MARCH 22

POSSESSION...A 47-year-old man and 32-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police determined that the 47-year-old had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo while he was operating his vehicle eastbound on East Delavan Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana on the driver's side floor. Police also located two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana in the 32-year-old's coat and pants pockets, respectively, as well as alleged "crack" cocaine in the 32-yearold's sock.

DWI...A 26-year-old Tonawanda woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle change lanes in an unsafe manner while traveling on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

DWI...A 58-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Walden Avenue restaurant after the woman's vehicle had reportedly backed into another vehicle twice. Upon arrival, police observed the woman in her vehicle. While interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .19.

TRESPASSING...A 55-year-old Trent Square woman was arrested after police responded to a Smith Street address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman had refused to leave the location before an officer arrived.

MARCH 23

POSSESSION... A 19-year-old man; 21-year-old man; 23-year-old man; and two 17-year-old males, all of Buffalo, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the 19-year-old traveling westbound on Genesee Street without a front license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an "overwhelming" odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. Police also observed alleged marijuana on the 23-year-old's shirt. During a pat search, an officer located three bags containing alleged marijuana in one of the 17-year-old's possessions. Police also found a metal grinder on the floor in the back seat.

DWI...A 27-year-old Orchard Park man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle fail to signal as it changed lanes while traveling eastbound from Harlem Road onto William Street. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed that the man had vomited on himself. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

POSSESSION...A 58-year-old man, a 39-year-old woman, both of Buffalo, as well as a 42-year-old Orchard Park man, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police stopped a vehicle driven by the 58- year-old, which was traveling northbound on East End Avenue, for a traffic infraction. A background check revealed that the 58-year-old's license was suspended. Police observed alleged "crack" cocaine on the 39-year-old's leg. Officers then located the following items: a pipe containing alleged cocaine residue in the glove compartment; a metal pipe containing alleged cocaine in the 58- year-old's sock; and a large bag containing four smaller bags with alleged "crack" cocaine, a pipe with alleged cocaine residue and a plastic bag containing alleged cocaine on the back seat.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 49-year-old man and 18-year-old man, both of Buffalo, as well as an 18-year-old East End Avenue woman, were arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of shoplifters. Police located a vehicle that was leaving the scene and observed the three, who matched the report's description, as passengers. A traffic stop was initiated and police located $160 worth of stolen shoes in the vehicle. A complainant stated that the three had taken the items from the store without paying for them.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 21- year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Slate Creek Drive address on a report of a larceny. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman had damaged his television and speakers.

DWI...A 44-year-old Lackawanna man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to Thruway Plaza on a report of a male "hunched over" in a vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed the man "passed out" in a vehicle that had its engine running. While interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

POSSESSION...A 29-year-old Kaufman Road man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling on Genesee Street with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior. The man admitted to having marijuana, which police located in the center console. An officer also found an alleged marijuana cigarette in an ashtray.

MARCH 24

DWI...A 21-year-old Hamburg woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle drifting in and out of its lane while traveling westbound on French Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The woman stated she had consumed one mixed drink and one shot of liquor earlier at a French Road tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .15. Breath test: .13.

POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Windwood Court man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Maryvale Drive with a cracked windshield. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana on the driver's seat.

STALKING/ HARASSMENT.. A 32-year-old Olmstead Avenue, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Dick Road address on a report of a male breaking into a vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed the man inside a vehicle, and a victim said the man did not have permission to go into or approach her vehicle. The victim added that the man had been stalking and harassing her, including making unwanted telephone calls to her residence.

DWI...A 22-year-old "A" Street, Depew woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle cross over a yellow center line while traveling northbound on Transit Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The woman reportedly changed her account about how much she had to drink earlier at a French Road tavern several times. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .17. Breath test: .20.

DWI...A 19-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle make an illegal U-turn while traveling on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated near George Urban Boulevard and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .11.

P O S S E S S I O N / FA L S E PERSONATION...A 26-year-old woman with no address given, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a French Road convenience store on a report of a homeless woman bothering a store clerk. Police located the woman, who matched the report's description, walking eastbound on French. Upon approaching the woman, an officer observed that the woman appeared to be under the influence of "crack" cocaine, displaying enlarged pupils and other symptoms. The woman reportedly handed an officer an alleged "crack" pipe. The woman also gave police a false name and date of birth, but a background check revealed her actual identity.

POSSESSION/CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 27-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Windwood Court address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had kicked open and broken her door. The man also allegedly threw an alleged "crack" pipe outside, which police located nearby.

MENACING...An 18-year-old Buffalo woman and two 17-year-old Buffalo females were arrested after police responded to the area of Eggert Road and the Kensington Expressway on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police determined that the three had gotten into a verbal altercation with another group of youths earlier at Walden Galleria. After everyone was asked to leave the mall, one of the 17-year-olds, while riding in the woman's vehicle, swung a baseball bat and struck a vehicle belonging to a youth from the other group.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 29- year-old man and 41-year-old man, both of Blasdell, were arrested after police responded to a Donald Drive address on a report of criminal mischief. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the men had damaged his lawn with their trailer, also damaging a plastic fence in the process.

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Linda Drive man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling westbound on Walden Avenue with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and the man reportedly acted in a suspicious manner while talking to an officer. During a search of the vehicle, police located six plastic bags containing alleged marijuana in the glove compartment.

POSSESSION...A 43-year-old Tonawanda man, a 42-year-old Halstead Avenue, Sloan woman and 48-year-old Losson Garden Drive woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed three persons acting suspiciously in a vehicle parked in a Union Road restaurant parking lot. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed powder on the 48-year-old's nostrils. Police found alleged cocaine wrapped in a dollar bill in the 42-year-old's possession. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged cocaine on both the front passenger seat and floor of the back seat.

FORGERY...A 34-year-old Rochester woman was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria store on a report of forgery. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that the woman attempted to use a credit card to purchase several video games, signing a false name to the receipt. A background check revealed that there was not a social security number that matched the signed name.

OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION... A 29- year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling on Walden Avenue near Alexander Avenue with inadequate tail lights. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman reportedly exited her vehicle and shouted, "I have to use the bathroom," even though officers warned her to stay in her vehicle. The woman reportedly refused to stay in her vehicle and later had to be physically subdued by police.

DEPEW

MARCH 20

POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Laverack Avenue, Depew man and a 24- year-old Alden man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police stopped a vehicle driven by the Alden man, which was traveling on Terrace Boulevard near Kokomo Street, after determining the vehicle's registration was suspended. Police located a pipe containing alleged marijuana residue in the Depew man's possession.

March 21

ASSAULT...A 44-year-old Muskingum Street, Depew man and 26- year-old Main Street, Depew man were arrested after police responded to the corner of St. James and Muskingum streets on a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers determined that the men had been involved in an altercation on train tracks behind the Depew police station. Police located the 44-year-old at his residence and noticed that he had blood on his hands and jacket.

MARCH 24

TRESPASSING...A 38-year-old man with no address given was arrested after police responded to a Broadway gas station on a report of a possible homeless male living in a shed next to a car wash. Upon arrival, police located the man, who matched the report's description, inside a shed and placed him into custody.

MARCH 25

PUBLIC LEWDNESS...A 21-yearold Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Transit Road gas station on a report of males urinating in the parking lot. Police located the man, who matched the report's description as being involved in the incident, traveling in a vehicle that was heading northbound on Transit. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer determined that the man had urinated on the outside entrance of the building.
