FEBRUARY 11

POSSESSION...A 36-year-old West Seneca woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police radar paced the woman's vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Union Road near George Urban Boulevard, at 50 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman admitted to taking "a few" Lortabs prior to driving. A background check revealed that the woman's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, police located an envelope containing alleged cocaine in the center console, as well as Hydrocodone pills, in the glove compartment.

MENACING...A 19-year-old West Seneca man was arrested after police responded to a Santin Drive address on a report of an attempted burglary. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man came to the residence and used profanity, demanding that the victim give him an iPod. The man continued to use profanity and allegedly threatened to kill the victim. The man then attempted to force open the door to the victim's residence before the victim locked the door and forced the man outside. A female then picked up the man in her vehicle, and police later located the man at his residence.

BURGLARY...A 19-year-old Kenmore man was arrested after police responded to a Vern Lane address on a report of a burglary and assault in which the man was involved. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man entered her residence and attempted to grab her head. After a male attempted to push the man away, the man allegedly punched the male's head three times and broke a plate. Police later located the man at his residence.

FEBRUARY 12

POSSESSION...A 42-year-old Walden Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a vehicle break-in on Walden Avenue near Haller Avenue. Police observed the man walking in that area and, when questioned by police, the man refused to remove his hand from his coat pocket. After police physically subdued the man, he threw alleged "crack" onto a patrol car. the man also wrestled with police until he was sprayed with pepper spray.

GRAND LARCENY... Two 33- year-old Buffalo women were arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria store on a report of employee theft. Upon an officer's arrival, a store manager stated that following an investigation, she and store officials determined that on at least two occasions, the women had stolen store merchandise valued at $2,587.50. The second 33-year-old reportedly admitted to carrying out bags of store items for the other 33-year-old, who worked as the store overnight manager. Police located the first 33-year-old at her residence and the second 33-yearold at a Buffalo store.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 30- year-old Lackawanna man was arrested after police responded to an Elaine Court address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim said the man, against whom the victim has an order of protection, had called her cellular phone and home phone. Police located the man at his residence and took him into custody.

A S S AU LT / R E S I S T I N G ARREST...A 28-year-old Davidson Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria store on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, police observed store security guards pinning the man to the ground. A victim stated that the man had attempted to break glass doors and struck the victim several times. The man also reportedly yelled, "I will eat your family" and "I will have your children for dinner." The man later punched an officer and started kicking his feet before he was sprayed with pepper spray.

POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Lilac Terrace man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Dick Road hotel on a report of a suspicious person who was possibly using drugs. Police arrived and observed the man, who matched the report's description, in a room. Officers observed in plain view a chore boy, and the man reportedly stated that there was "crack" all over the room. Police located alleged "crack" cocaine in the man's jacket pocket.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 31- year-old Union Road man was arrested after police responded to a Union address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon arrival, police observed the man, against whom a victim has an order of protection, in the attic of the victim's residence.

FEBRUARY 13

POSSESSION/ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD...A 25-year-old man and 19-year-old woman, both of Slate Creek Drive, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to the couple's address to execute a search warrant. Upon arrival, police located alleged cocaine and other drug paraphernalia. An officer also determined that the couple's young child was at the location during alleged drug use.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 48- year-old Randolph Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Randolph address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man slapped her, threw a heater at her and threatened to kill her with a knife. The victim also alleged that the man abused the victim's dog in an attempt to intimidate the victim. Police determined that the victim had an order of protection against the man.

FEBRUARY 14

TRESPASSING...A 50-year-old Borden Road woman was arrested after police responded to a Borden address on a report of a dispute in which the woman was "trashing the residence." Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman had refused to leave the residence, throwing and breaking dishes from a cabinet. The property owner stated that the woman could not be at the location because her name was not on the lease.

EXPOSURE...A 24-year-old Amherst man was arrested after police observed the man urinating in a Harlem Road parking lot.

RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT... A 21-year-old woman with no address given was arrested after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling on Loxley Road near Genesee Street with its rear license plate covered with snow. A traffic stop was initiated, but when an officer approached the vehicle, the woman reportedly pulled away, barely avoiding hitting the officer. Police followed the woman's vehicle, which passed through a stop sign on Peachtree Road. The woman's vehicle later crashed into a snow bank in front of a Genesee address. The woman then started to run from the scene before she was captured by police.

ASSAULT...A 22-year-old Glenwood Court man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute in which the man injured a female. Upon arrival, police observed that a victim's head was bleeding. The victim stated the man had thrown a hairbrush at her, striking the victim's head and causing a laceration. The man also allegedly damaged a table before fleeing the residence. Police located theman operating his vehicle on Genesee Street near Pine Ridge Road and took the man into custody.

FEBRUARY 15

POSSESSION...A 24-year-old Lackawanna man and 23-year-old man, both of Buffalo were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the 24-year-old not wearing a seatbelt while operating his vehicle southbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed two alleged marijuana pipes in plain view in the center console. Both the 23-year-old, who was a passenger, and the 24-year-old stated that there was a bag of marijuana in the glove compartment. An officer located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the glove compartment.

FEBRUARY 16

POSSESSION/TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE... A 24-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with an inadequately illuminated tail light. A traffic stop was initiated on Hoerner Avenue and a background check revealed that the man possibly had an arrest warrant. Police observed alleged marijuana residue on the driver's side floor of the vehicle, as well as bags containing alleged marijuana under the front driver's seat and in the center console. Officers later found a large bag with 36 smaller bags inside containing alleged marijuana in the back seat of a patrol car in which the man had been sitting.

DWI...A 36-year-old Francis Avenue, Sloan man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle make an "unsafe" turn while traveling from Walden Avenue onto Harlem Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the man could not produce any identification. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .20.

FEBRUARY 17

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Tonawanda man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man acting suspiciously after exiting a William Street gas station. During a pat search, an officer located a container with alleged marijuana in the man's left jacket pocket.

DWI...A 32-year-old South Creek Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle stopped at a traffic signal on the corner of Walden Avenue and Union Road. Police approached the vehicle and observed the man "asleep at the wheel" and not wearing his seatbelt. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .17.

POSSESSION...A 39-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of a shoplifter. Upon an officer's arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, and took him into custody. During a pat search, an officer located an alleged "crack" pipe in the man's possession.

FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT...A 27-year-old Marne Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of an assault. Upon an officer's arrival, the man reportedly crawled to the front door and fell down. The man allegedly stated that he had been jumped by four black males earlier on Genesee Street near the City of Buffalo. Rural Metro staff determined that the man was not injured. The man then reportedly changed his story several times. Police determined that the man's accounts were false.

FEBRUARY 9

MENACING...A 39-year-old Broadway, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Broadway tavern on a report of a male holding a knife and threatening patrons. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who was reportedly intoxicated, and found a three-inch pocket knife in his right jacket pocket. A witness stated the man had threatened two patrons with a knife.

FEBRUARY 10

DWI...A 23-year-old Orchard Park man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Transit Road, at 60 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .22.

DWI...A 35-year-old Irondale Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man "passed out" in his vehicle, which was stopped at a traffic signal at the corner of Broadway and Borden roads. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. The man was reportedly unable to describe where he was headed or from where he had come. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

FEBRUARY 11

POSSESSION...A 36-year-old Sandy Lane man was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police observed the man smoking what appeared to be marijuana while operating his vehicle northbound on Transit Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the man admitted to smoking marijuana, handing an officer a glass pipe and a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana. Police also located another pipe in the glove compartment.

FEBRUARY 15

DWI...A 30-year-old Broadway, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a report of a vehicle stuck in a snow bank on the corner of Broadway and Dick roads. Upon arrival, police observed the man in his vehicle. Officers interviewed the man, and an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .21.
