FEBRUARY 4
ASSAULT...A 58-year-old Atlantic Avenue, Sloan man was arrested after police responded to an Atlantic address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival a victim stated the man pushed her against a wall and grabbed her arm, causing bruising and redness. When the victim attempted to call police, the man allegedly broke the telephone.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 40- year-old Pinewood Terrace man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that she and the man began to argue and that the man threw a digital camera and glass bowl to the ground, breaking the items.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT/
POSSESSION...A 32-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Linda Drive address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man came to her residence and attempted to disrupt her phone conversation. Police determined that the victim had an order of protection against the man. An officer located alleged cocaine residue inside a rolled-up dollar bill in the man's jacket pocket.
HARASSMENT...A 27-year-old Meadowlawn Road, Depew woman was arrested after police responded to an Aero Drive adult entertainment nightclub on a report of a fight. Upon arrival, police determined that the woman hit a victim on the back of his head with a beer bottle.
FEBRUARY 5
FALSELY REPORTING AN INCIDENT...A 20-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a stop sign on the corner of Eggert Road and East Delavan Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and the man stated he was "in a hurry because his niece was suffering seizures" at a Buffalo address. After consulting with the Buffalo Fire Department, police determined that no emergency calls had been made from the Buffalo address.
POSSESSION...A 36-year-old Hedwig Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police initiated a traffic stop of a vehicle in front of the man's address. Police determined that the driver of the vehicle had been involved in a criminal mischief incident at the location and was taken into custody. The driver reportedly stated that the man had been growing marijuana in the basement of his residence. When officers obtained the man's permission to search his basement, they found a cardboard box containing 31 plastic cups with alleged marijuana plants, as well as special electrical heating and lighting. Upon searching another room in the basement, officers located 21 large plastic pots containing alleged marijuana plants, along with a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana on the floor. Police then located alleged hashish and $1,700 in a safe.
AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 35-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Drake Drive address on a report of harassing phone calls. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had made threatening phone calls to her approximately eight times per day since November. The victim also stated she had asked the man to stop calling her, but that he did not comply.
POSSESSION...A 30-year-old man and 22-year-old woman, both of Buffalo, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a suspicious vehicle, in which the two were occupants, behind the Cheektowaga Recreation Center. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior. During a search of the vehicle, police located an alleged marijuana cigarette under the front passenger's seat and a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana seeds in the woman's purse.
POSSESSION...A 25-year-old Elkhurst Drive man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a stop sign at the corner of Cedargrove Circle and Community Drive. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed the man making several "furtive movements" within his vehicle. The man later stated he had marijuana under his vehicle's floormat, which police located along with 10 Hydrocodone pills.
FEBRUARY 6
HARASSMENT...A 31-year-old Union Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of criminal mischief. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man had thrown a telephone against a wall, breaking it, and threatened to "push her down the stairs and throw her head through a window."
FEBRUARY 7
HARASSMENT...An 18-year-old Beach Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated she was concerned about the man "being addicted to cold medicine." The victim also alleged that the man later threatened to "punch her face," raising his fist toward the victim.
FEBRUARY 8
POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man smoking what appeared to be marijuana while operating a vehicle that had darkly tinted windows and was traveling on Dick Road near Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed the man attempting to conceal alleged marijuana. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located an alleged marijuana cigarette and a pill container with alleged marijuana in the center console.
POSSESSION...A 22-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description as having been involved in the incident, near the store. During a pat search, an officer located an alleged marijuana cigarette in the man's right jacket pocket.
FEBRUARY 9
POSSESSION...An 18-year-old man and 19-year-old man, both of Nugget Drive, and a 20-year-old Trent Square man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 18- year-old traveling on Genesee Street with only one headlight illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and police observed a plastic container with alleged marijuana residue near the center console. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana under the center console.
POSSESSION...A 46-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle stuck in a snowbank on the corner of Eggert and Cedar roads. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the man and noticed that the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes. Police determined that the man was not above the legal limit of blood alcohol content, but did locate alleged "crack" cocaine inside a napkin on the vehicle's floorboard.
POSSESSION/DISORDERLY CONDUCT...A 27-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman disrupting the flow of traffic while walking westbound in a driving lane on William Street. When police advised the woman to walk to the side of the road, the woman reportedly became argumentative and was taken into custody. An officer then located an alleged "crack" pipe with residue in the woman's purse.
DWI/CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON...A 44-year-old Akron man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Maryvale Drive address on a report of a possibly intoxicated driver attempting to pick up his children. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, sitting in his vehicle, which had keys in the ignition. A complainant, who is the man's ex-wife, stated that she did not want the children riding in the man's vehicle because the man was intoxicated. Police later located two loaded handguns on the man's waistband.
DWI...A 60-year-old Fairvale Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the Kensington Expressway near the New York State Thruway on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arriving and interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes. The man stated he had consumed one beer earlier at a friend's house. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.
FEBRUARY 10
DWI...A 42-year-old Barnabas Drive, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle weave and nearly strike a snow bank while traveling eastbound on Genesee Street. The man's vehicle also crossed over double yellow lines on Union Road and a traffic stop was initiated on Chapel Avenue. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated he had consumed three shots of liquor and two beers earlier. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.
MENACING...A 30-year-old Fairvale Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man had threatened to kill her while he held knives.
HARASSMENT/POSSESSION... A 24-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a George Urban Boulevard address to assist Emergency Medical Services staff with an intoxicated male. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, and determined that the man had two outstanding arrest warrants in Buffalo. During a pat search, an officer located an alleged marijuana cigarette in the man's left pants pocket. During the booking process, the man reportedly pushed a guard and attempted to run away before he was physically subdued.
POSSESSION...A 32-year-old Olmstead Avenue, Depew man and a 42- year-old Leonard Drive, Depew woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with an obstructed rear license plate and driver's view. A traffic stop was initiated and the man stated his license was suspended. During a pat search, an officer located a plastic tube containing alleged cocaine in the man's possession. With the assistance of a K-9 unit, police located four bags containing alleged cocaine under the center console. Another bag containing alleged cocaine later fell out of the woman's bra. Officers located five Behntermine pills and one Codein pill in the woman's purse.

FEBRUARY 3
DWI...A 41-year-old Jeffrey Drive woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle pass through a stop sign while traveling northbound on Lincoln Street at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated on Olmstead Avenue and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test. A background check revealed that the woman had a previous DWI conviction in 2004, making this arrest a felony.
FEBRUARY 6
DWI...A 39-year-old Springville woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Transit and Broadway roads on a report of a vehicle stuck in a snow bank. Upon arrival, police observed the woman in her vehicle, which was stuck in a snow bank. Upon interviewing the woman, who could not explain how her vehicle ended up in its position, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .30.
FEBRUARY 9
DWI...A 21-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Transit Road, at 48 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. The man's vehicle also crossed over double yellow lines and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.
