JANUARY 28

POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Meadowbrook Parkway man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Broadway, fail to use its signal while turning right onto Roland Street. A traffic stop was initiated on the corner of Crocker and Blick streets and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. During a pat search, police located a pipe containing alleged marijuana in the man's possession.

DWI...A 24-year-old Madeira Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerving in and out of a lane several times while traveling southbound on Borden Road near French Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated he drank beer earlier at a French Road tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .11.

TRESPASSING/HARASSMENT... A 21-year-old Buchanan Street, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a French Road tavern on a report of trespassing. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that following an altercation, the man had been asked to leave the location. However, Aquilio reportedly refused to do so. A victim stated the man had attempted to hit a male, but missed and struck the victim's face. The man then ran from the tavern before an officer caught him. The man allegedly pushed an officer and refused to place his hands behind his back before he was subdued. The man later reportedly yelled profanities in a jail cell.

DWI...A 46-year-old Slate Creek Drive woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the woman's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on William Street near the New York State Thruway, at 55 miles per hour in a 40 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman stated that she had consumed three beers earlier. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and "slightly slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

POSSESSION...A 33-year-old East Aurora man and a 39-year-old Penora Street, Depew man were arrested for possession of a hypodermic instrument after police observed a vehicle driven by the 33-yeaar-old swerve between lanes while traveling eastbound on Broadway at a high rate of speed. A traffic stop was initiated and during a search of the vehicle, an officer located a hypodermic needle in the headliner section.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 29- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Windwood Court address for a 9-1-1 call. Upon an officer's arrival, the man stated he "came to see his kids," and that he got into an argument with a victim. A background check revealed the victim had a stay-away order of protection against the man.

ASSAULT...A 38-year-old Lou Ann Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man grabbed her neck during an argument. Police observed redness on the victim's neck and took the man into custody.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A WEAPON...A 36-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle traveling northbound on Pine Ridge Road with a loud muffler. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the man only had a learner's permit. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a dagger and alleged marijuana in the glove compartment.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 42-year-old Denise Drive woman was arrested after police responded to an Aero Drive adult entertainment club on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, police observed the woman, who was intoxicated, outside the location. The woman had reportedly been escorted out of the location for acting unruly, and she then yelled profanities toward officers in the parking lot.

JANUARY 29

POSSESSION... A 28-year-old Williamsville man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with only one headlight illuminated. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed an alleged "crack" pipe on the passenger's seat. Police later found alleged "crack" cocaine on the floor of the vehicle.

LARCENY...An 18-year-old East Rouen Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Transit Road department store on a report of an employee in custody. Upon an officer's arrival, a store security guard stated that on three separate occasions, the man sold store products by a combined reduced rate of $600.

USING DRUG PARAPHERNALIA... A 21-year-old man and 19-yearold man, both of Barker, were arrested after police observed a suspicious vehicle, in which the two were passengers, parked in Thruway Plaza. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the 21-year-old shoving an object, which was later determined to be marijuana, under his seat. Police also located alleged marijuana under the passenger's seat, as well as a knife and scale, inside the vehicle.

HARASSMENT...A 29-year-old Garden Village Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man punched her in the mouth.

JANUARY 30

HARASSMENT...An 18-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to an Aero Drive school on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man shoved her and threatened to punch her face. The victim also stated that the man threatened her with profanity the previous day.

BURGLARY...A 22-year-old Transit Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of stolen property. Upon arrival, police determined that the man broke a victim's bedroom door, unlocked it and took cigarettes and prescription medication from the victim. An officer later located the man in front of a Lemans Drive address.

JANUARY 31

POSSESSION...A43-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers brought the man to police headquarters after serving two outstanding Buffalo bench warrants. During a pat search, police located a glass pipe with alleged cocaine residue in the man's right sock.

POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Lockport woman and a 22-year-old Buffalo man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a suspicious vehicle, in which the two were occupants, at a Kensington Avenue address. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located an alleged marijuana cigarette.

FEBRUARY 1

POSSESSION...A35-year-old Maryvale Drive man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling on Maryvale near Cayuga Road with its driver's view obstructed. A traffic stop was initiated and police determined through an investigation that the man had purchased cocaine earlier. The man said that he had a plastic bag containing cocaine on the passenger's seat, which police located.

FEBRUARY 2

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 35-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police observed the man making "erratic hand gestures" and yelling while walking on Marne Road toward East Delavan Avenue. When police approached him, the man reportedly asked, 'What do you want, I'm on the phone." The man then reportedly began to yell profanities and continued to do so even after officers asked him to stop.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... An 18- year-old Ivanhoe Road man was arrested after police responded to an Ivanhoe address on a report of unknown trouble. Upon arrival, police heard yelling and located the man and a victim arguing. After separating the two, police determined that the victim had a stay-away order of protection against the man.

ROBBERY...A 48-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue restaurant on a report of a larceny of a purse. Police observed the man, who matched a witness's description, running westbound on Walden near a hotel. Officers caught the man and a restaurant manager said the man "went through" a victim's purse, which the man then placed behind a cash register. The victim noticed that $100 was missing from her purse. When the victim confronted the man, the man pushed the victim and ran from the location.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF A FORGED INSTRUMENT... A 39- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue department store on a report of a male attempting to use a counterfeit $20 bill to pay for an item. Upon an officer's arrival, a customer service manager stated that the man claimed to have gotten the phony bill from a bank.

FEBRUARY 3

HARASSMENT...A 32-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Holtz Drive hotel on a report of a fight. Upon an officer's arrival, hotel staff members said the man and a victim fought and that the man had been "the aggressor." The victim stated that the man was on a "six-day 'crack' binge." The man also allegedly grabbed another victim's throat and threatened to kill him.

DWI/POSSESSION...A 30-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to an accident at a Collette Avenue address in which the man's vehicle was involved. Officers arrived and observed the man's vehicle on the front lawn. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged marijuana and a pipe containing alleged marijuana in the center console. A background check revealed that the man's license was suspended and that the man had previous DWI convictions in 1996, 1998 and 2005, making this arrest a felony.

DRIVING AFTER ALCOHOL CONSUMED...An 18-year-old Janine Court man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle dragging its exhaust system on the ground and traveling with a loud muffler while heading northbound on Harlem Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the man stated that he only had a learner's permit. A background check revealed that the man was 18 years old and that his vehicle was not registered. An officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on the man and noticed that the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .05.

DWI...A 22-year-old Glenwood Court woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an Eggert Road address on a report of an injury accident in which the woman's vehicle was involved. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

THEFT OF SERVICES...A 23- year-old Amherst woman was arrested after police responded to a Genesee Street restaurant on a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, police determined that the woman and three others had ordered $36 worth of food and left without paying for the check. The four then left in a vehicle traveling westbound on Genesee. Police reviewed the restaurant's surveillance tapes and determined the woman's vehicle's license plate number and home address. Upon arriving at the woman's residence, an officer observed a food container from the restaurant in the woman's vehicle.

ROBBERY...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a George Urban Boulevard gas station on a report of a robbery in which the offender fled the scene, heading westbound on George Urban Boulevard in a stolen vehicle. Upon an officer's arrival, a store clerk stated the man took eight packs of cigarettes and a compact disc from behind the counter. The man then left the store, climbed in a vehicle, pushed the car owner out of the vehicle and drove away from the location. Police located the man operating the vehicle nearby.

JANUARY 28

OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION... A 46- year-old Dunkirk woman was arrested after police responded to a Transit Road gas station to provide backup during a traffic stop of the woman's vehicle. The woman reportedly refused to return to her vehicle. When she finally returned to her vehicle and an officer approached her, the woman struck the officer's shoulder with her vehicle's door. The woman also refused to place her hands behind her back before she was subdued.
