JANUARY 21
POSSESSION...A 44-year-old Felber Lane, Depew man and a 39-year-old Okeecaobee, Florida man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the Depew man not wearing his seatbelt in a vehicle driven by the Florida man, which was traveling eastbound on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed a glass pipe and a chore boy hanging out of the Depew man's pocket. The Depew man also reportedly flicked alleged "crack" cocaine to the floor. A background check revealed that the Florida man's license was suspended.
DWI/HARASSMENT... A 21-yearold Garden Village Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle driving in doughnut patterns at a high rate of speed in Garden Village Plaza. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly denied consuming alcohol. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .14. At police headquarters, the man used profanity toward and officer and yelled, "I'm going to kill you." The man also reportedly elbowed an officer in his chest, and police pepper-sprayed Santaniello. While in a jail cell, the man also reportedly yelled, "I'm not a punk, don't treat me like a punk."
RESISTING ARREST...A 42-yearold Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Broadway hockey rink on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a witness stated the woman "started a disturbance in a locker room." The woman later reportedly used profanity toward an officer and screamed, "Get your hand out of my face," while approximately 100 people watched. The woman allegedly continued to yell profanities and refused to put her hands behind her back.
HINDERING PROSECUTION... A 21-year-old Brookhaven Drive woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address to serve a warrant on a male. The woman reportedly told police that the male wasn't home, but an officer located the male in the basement.
JANUARY 22
POSSESSION...A 34-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Broadway address to serve an outstanding Amherst arrest warrant on the woman. Upon an officer's arrival, the woman handed police an envelope containing alleged marijuana. An officer also located a pipe containing alleged marijuana residue in the woman's coat pocket.
POSSESSION...A 25-year-old Buffalo man and a 24-year-old Williamsville man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the 24-year-old not wearing a seatbelt in a vehicle driven by the 25-year-old, which was traveling on Cayuga Road. A traffic stop was initiated on Wehrle Drive and the 24-year-old was unable to produce any of his identification. During a pat search, police located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the 24- year-old's right pants pocket. The 25- year-old reportedly admitted that he had a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in an ash tray.
JANUARY 23
LARCENY/FALSE PERSONATION... A 29-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue grocery store on a report of a larceny of beer. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that the man took a 40-ounce container of beer and concealed it in his pants. After the man grabbed two more 40-ounce containers of beer and attempted to pay for them, a cashier questioned him about the "40" in his pants. The man denied having anything in his pants and stated he "wasn't afraid of the police." After officers arrived and brought the man to police headquarters, the man reportedly gave a false name and date of birth. The man later admitted his actual identity.
ROBBERY...A 48-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of a robbery. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated the man removed marking devices from several pairs of jeans and a cellular phone. The man then concealed the items and walked out of the store. When a loss prevention manager confronted the man about stealing the items, the man threw the manager to the ground, causing the manager's head to strike a concrete curb. Police located the man nearby and took him into custody.
POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Fath Drive woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with a broken windshield. A background check revealed that the woman's vehicle's registration was suspended. A traffic stop was initiated and during a pat search, an officer located an alleged "crack" stem in the woman's right jacket pocket.
JANUARY 24
POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Broadway Road, Sloan woman and a 26- year-old Anna Marie Terrace woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the Sloan woman traveling northbound on Currier Street with its rear license plate covered by snow. After the vehicle stopped at a Broadway address, police approached the vehicle and detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the Sloan woman. A background check revealed that the Sloan woman's license was suspended. The Anna Marie Terrace woman reportedly admitted to having marijuana in her pocket and handed it to an officer. Police located four Darvocet pills in the Sloan woman's purse.
POSSESSION...A 21-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman, both of Alexander, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the 25-yearold traveling westbound on Genesee Street with its driver's view obstructed. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the 21-year-old attempting to hide an alleged marijuana bowl under a towel. The 21-year-old also stated that she had a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in her possession. The 25-year-old told police that her license was suspended and that she had a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana. Police located the item.
POSSESSION/FALSE PERSONATION... A 22-year-old Transit Road, Depew man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Sebring Drive address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Police observed the man, who matched the report's description, walking on the corner of Sebring and Lemans drives. The man reportedly gave police a false name, but he later stated his actual identity. Police later located two alleged marijuana pipes in the man's possession.
POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Columbia Avenue, Depew man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a suspicious vehicle parked at a Genesee Street address. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the man place two alleged marijuana pipes and four bags of alleged heroin into his socks.
DWI...A 48-year-old Harlem Road woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling northbound on Union Road without its headlights illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and slurred speech. The woman reportedly stated she had consumed two drinks earlier at her residence. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18.
JANUARY 25
DWI...A 37-year-old Walden Avenue woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue without its headlights illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated on Woodell Avenue and the woman's vehicle nearly backed into an officer. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .26.
JANUARY 26
DWI...A 22-year-old Losson Garden Drive woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the woman's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on William Street, at 55 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.
OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION... A 25-year-old Jackson Avenue, Sloan man was arrested after police responded to the man's address to serve a Cheektowaga bench warrant on a female. The man reportedly told police that the female wasn't home, but an officer located the female in the attic.
UNDERAGE SALE OF ALCOHOL...A 21-year-old Homeworth Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Cayuga Road address on a report of a vehicle parked at a store after hours. Upon arrival, police observed a male carrying a case of beer from the location. The male stated that he was 17 years old. The man admitted selling the beer to the minor and was taken into custody.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 46- year-old Meadowlawn Road man was arrested after police responded to a Harlem Road tavern on a report of two males fighting in the parking lot. Upon arrival, an officer observed the man and another male struggling in the parking lot. The male stated that he had advised the man, who was reportedly intoxicated, to not drive home. The man then allegedly punched the male's face and jumped on top of him. An officer observed a laceration on the male's face.
JANUARY 27
POSSESSION...An 18-year-old East Aurora woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling eastbound on Doat Street with its passenger's side tail light not illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed in plain view a chore boy and an open container of beer. During a pat search, police located a metal push rod in the woman's front pants pocket. An officer also located another push rod with alleged cocaine residue under the driver's seat and an alleged "crack" pipe in a beer bottle in the back seat.
POSSESSION...A 36-year-old woman, 27-year-old woman, and 48- year-old man, all of Salamanca, as well as a 36-year-old West Valley woman, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the West Valley woman traveling on Walden Avenue with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and the West Valley woman was reportedly argumentative with police, stating "she had to pee." The Salamanca trio reportedly told conflicting accounts of their previous whereabouts and an officer observed in plain view an alleged "crack" pipe and a plastic bag containing a rock-like substance, in the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, police located two alleged marijuana pipes with alleged cocaine residue and two plastic bags containing a rocklike substance in a purse, as well as a scale in the back seat. During a pat search, an officer located another bag containing a rock-like substance, a scale, three Phenermine pills and $1,650 in the West Valley woman's possession.
POSSESSION/FALSE PERSONATION... A 25-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a stop sign while traveling eastbound on Richard Drive near William Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. Police located an alleged marijuana cigarette in an ash tray. The man reportedly gave police a false name and date of birth, but later stated his actual identity.
DWI...A 27-year-old Ellen Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Union Road location on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle rear-ended another vehicle. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "heavily slurred" speech. The man reportedly stated he had consumed two beers earlier at a Genesee Street tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

JANUARY 20
DWI...A 21-year-old Alden man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling westbound on Walden Avenue, at 60 miles per hour in a 40 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated near Dick Road and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .17.
JANUARY 21
POSSESSION...A 20-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a report of suspicious activity at a Penora Street address. Upon arrival, police observed a male fall to the ground while the Lancaster man ran from the location. Police caught the man and found a small plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in his possession.
POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man running toward a vehicle at a Gould Avenue address. When police questioned the man, he was reportedly "nervous and evasive." During a pat search, an officer located a small plastic bag containing alleged marijuana and a smoking pipe in the man's possession.
JANUARY 24
DWI...A 25-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the corner of Walden Avenue and Transit Road on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. When an officer arrived and interviewed the man, he detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
JANUARY 25
DWI...A 28-year-old George Urban Boulevard man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Lancer Court address on a report of a hit-and-run accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Police later located the man's vehicle, which contained extensive front-end damage, at his residence. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.
JANUARY 26
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 42- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Penora Street address on a report of a male breaking into a residence. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, covered in blood with broken pieces of glass nearby. The man stated that he attempted to take keys from the victim's residence.
