JANUARY 7
DWI...A 27-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on the Kensington Expressway, at 76 miles per hour in a 55 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated near the New York State Thruway and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .14.
POSSESSION...A 34-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling southbound on Eggert Road with an inadequate muffler. A traffic stop was initiated near the Kensington Expressway and a background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. During a pat search, an officer located a bag containing alleged marijuana, as well as an alleged marijuana cigarette, in the man's shirt pocket. During a search of the vehicle, police located a plastic bag with alleged cocaine residue, as well as two plastic bags containing alleged cocaine in the dome light cover.
POSSESSION...A 27-year-old Hoerner Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police executed an indictment warrant at the man's residence. After officers brought the man to police headquarters, an officer located a lighter and alleged cocaine under the back seat of a patrol car in which the man was sitting.
POSSESSION...A 44-year-old Clarence man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle cross over double yellow lines while traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed the man making furtive movements. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed an empty beer can next to the man. When the man exited his vehicle to perform field sobriety tests, tin foil- commonly used to smoke marijuana- fell out of his pant leg. The man also pulled a lottery ticket wrapped around alleged cocaine from his pants. Police also located an envelope containing alleged "crack" cocaine, as well as a small amount of alleged marijuana, in the man's possession.
JANUARY 8
POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Slate Creek Drive man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on William Street with an inadequate muffler. A traffic stop was initiated near Union Road and a background check revealed the man's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a glass pipe with alleged cocaine residue in the center console.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 19- year-old Winkler Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man kicked a television through a wall, causing approximately $300 in damages to the wall.
POSSESSION...A 24-year-old man and 21-year-old woman, both of Buffalo, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated near Harlem Road and a background check revealed the man had only a learner's permit. Police observed alleged marijuana seeds on the floor of the vehicle, and the woman admitted to having a bag containing marijuana in her coat pocket. With assistance from a K-9 unit, officers located several alleged marijuana "roaches" in an ashtray.
JANUARY 9
POSSESSION...A 28-year-old Lancaster woman and 22-year-old Buffalo woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 22-year-old traveling eastbound on Cedargrove Circle with its rear license plate not illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated on Brookhaven Drive and Bice stated she "didn't have a license." The 22-year-old also stated the 28-year-old had "crack" cocaine in the glove compartment, where police located the item. The 28-year-old also stated she had two "crack" pipes in her vagina, which she later removed at police headquarters. A background check revealed the 22-yearold had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo.
DWI...A 28-year-old Williamsville woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle weaving between lanes without signaling while traveling eastbound on the Kensington Expressway. A traffic stop was initiated on Cleveland Drive and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .16.
MENACING...A 21-year-old Wildy Street man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of menacing. Upon arrival, police determined the man had brandished a pistol and said to a witness, "Should I? Should I?" Police later located the man and the pistol at a Woodell Avenue address.
HARASSMENT...A 27-year-old Birkdale Road man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of "horseplay." Upon arrival, officers determined the man had pushed a victim, held him down and slapped his face.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 20-year-old Long Beach, New York man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria bookstore on a report of an assault. Police observed the man, who matched the report's description as having been involved in the incident, as a passenger in a vehicle that was in front of a mall store. Police determined that the man had been involved in an altercation earlier at the bookstore. The man later became argumentative with police and spat in the back of a patrol car while shouting profanities.
JANUARY 10
POSSESSION...Two 22-year-old Buffalo men were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the second 22-year-old traveling northbound on Union Road with inadequate tail lights. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed the first 22-year-old making furtive movements. While police searched the vehicle, the first 22-yearold reportedly placed several plastic bags containing alleged marijuana under the back seat of a patrol car.
POSSESSION...A 41-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling southbound on Harlem Road with inadequate brake lights. A traffic stop was initiated and the man couldn't produce his vehicle's registration or insurance cards. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine on the floor. At police headquarters, an officer found an alleged "crack" pipe inside a cigarette pack in the man's pocket.
POSSESSION...A 45-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle make a U-turn while traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the interior. During a search of the vehicle, police found a broken alleged "crack" pipe on the floor, four alleged marijuana cigarettes in an ash tray, a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in a driver's side door panel and an Oxycodone pill under the front passenger's seat.
CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 35-year-old Niagara Falls man was arrested after police stopped the man's vehicle, which was traveling on Anderson Road near Walden Avenue, for a traffic infraction. A background check revealed that the inspection sticker on the man's vehicle had been stolen from a victim in August 2006.
HARASSMENT...A 24-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Carefree Lane address on a report of a neighbor dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man had repeatedly revved his vehicle's engine with a loud exhaust in a nearby driveway at "all hours of the night." When the victim confronted the man about this alleged action, the man reportedly became angry and shoved a cellular phone in the victim's mouth. The man then taunted the victim and dared her to call police.
POSSESSION...A 36-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle fail to use its signal while traveling eastbound into a Walden Avenue convenience store parking lot. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer located an alleged marijuana pipe in the center console. During a pat search, police located alleged marijuana in Schleer's left front pants pocket.
JANUARY 11
POSSESSION...A 37-year-old Columbia Avenue, Depew man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle changing lanes without signaling while traveling westbound on Clinton Street. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed the man had an outstanding arrest warrant. During a search of the vehicle, police located two alleged "crack" pipes, a push rod and a chore boy.
ASSAULT...A 38-year-old Hedley Street man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a male "punching a victim in the head and taking off." Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man had given him a ride home, then used profanity and threatened the victim with physical violence. The man then allegedly "suckerpunched" the victim, breaking the victim's glasses and causing a laceration on the victim's forehead. Police later located the man at a St. Felix Avenue residence. According to the police report, both the man and the victim are drug abusers.
CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 44-year-old man and three 18-year-old women, all of Buffalo, were arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of four individuals stealing clothing. Upon arrival, police determined that the four had stolen a combined $166 worth of jeans from the store.
ASSAULT...A 20-year-old Allison Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man punched the victim's mouth and knocked her to the ground, causing an abrasion and swelling on the victim's lip. Police observed the man operating his vehicle southbound on Harlem Road and apprehended him.
DWI...A 53-year-old Shanley Street man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a red light while traveling eastbound on Clinton Street near Rossler Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .11.
LARCENY/FALSE PERSONATION... An 18-year-old Buffalo woman and a 16-year-old Buffalo female were arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza store on a report of a larceny. Upon an officer's arrival, a loss prevention manager stated the woman and the 16-year-old stole a combined $275 worth of clothing. When the two attempted to leave the store without paying for the items, the loss prevention manager stopped them. Both the woman and the 16-year-old reportedly gave false names and dates of birth to police, but a background check revealed their actual identities.
JANUARY 13
POSSESSION...An 18-year-old East Aurora woman, an 18-year-old Windwood Court woman, a 21-year-old Buffalo man and a 24-year-old Buffalo man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police stopped a vehicle driven by the East Aurora woman, which was traveling on Pine Ridge Road near Doat Street, for a traffic infraction. Police determined that the East Aurora woman, who had a conditional use only license, was driving outside her restrictions. During a search of the vehicle, officers located two alleged marijuana cigarettes on the center console and alleged "crack" cocaine on the floor. All four individuals denied owning the items. The 21-year-old man reportedly gave police a false name, but a background check revealed his actual identity and that he had an outstanding arrest warrant in Cheektowaga. An officer later found six bags containing alleged cocaine, as well as $438, in the 21-year-old man's possession.
DWI...A 22-year-old Kingswood Court man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve and nearly strike another vehicle while traveling westbound on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and impaired speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.
POSSESSION...A 44-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Fath Drive address on a report of an unconscious female. Upon arrival, police observed an unconscious female, who was assisted by members of the U-Crest Fire Department, near the woman. An officer located alleged liquid Hydrocodone in the woman's purse. The woman later admitted to using heroin the previous day. The unconscious female awoke and stated she had previously used cocaine.
HARASSMENT...A 25-year-old Losson Road woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman punched him and struck him with a candlestick during an argument. A background check revealed that the woman had an outstanding arrest warrant in Hamburg.

JANUARY 5
DWI...A 23-year-old Williamsville man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Transit Road, at 54 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired" speech. A background check revealed that the man's license was suspended. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .16.
JANUARY 6
DWI...A 24-year-old Chapel Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Transit Road, at 48 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. The man stated that he consumed half a pitcher of beer earlier at a Transit Road bowling alley. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .16.
DWI...A 27-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle drifting between lanes several times while traveling westbound on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated near Dick Road and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and "slow" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
DWI/POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Caroline Lane man was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to the area of Lou Ann Drive and George Urban Boulevard on a report of a reckless driver. Police observed the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, traveling southbound on Lou Ann Drive. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .13. Breath test: refused. Police also located alleged marijuana in the man's pants pocket.
JANUARY 7
DWI...A 30-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the woman's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Terrace Boulevard, at 42 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. The woman's vehicle also passed through a stop sign near Sanilac Street and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. the woman stated that she earlier took two Lortab pills and one Soma pill. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
JANUARY 8
DWI...A 47-year-old Martin Court, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and swerving in and out of a lane while heading southbound on Dick Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .14.
JANUARY 10
DWI...A 47-year-old Lee Street, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerving between lanes while traveling westbound on the man Street. A traffic stop was initiated near George Street and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .25.
JANUARY 12
DWI...A 29-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Dick Road, at 65 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated, but the man's vehicle continued traveling and struck a curb several times before stopping. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. The man was reportedly uncooperative with police and refused to submit to field sobriety tests, an alco sensor or a breath test. The man also used several profanities toward police and said, "I wasn't driving," as well as "I'm going to sue you." The man also fought with officers near a jail cell, kicking and shouting insults before he was physically subdued.
