WE'RE NUMBER ONE...
The Buffalo Bisons' 16U girls hockey team recently won the 17AA title at the Connecticut Polar Bears Tournament. Locals on the team include defenseman Pamela Zgoda (top row, third from left), who is a Cheektowaga resident and junior at Nichols Academy, as well as forward Brianna Murphy (middle row, far right), who is a Depew resident and junior at Lancaster High School. Murphy scored the game-winning goal in the shootout of the Bisons' semifinal win over NAHA Red. The Bisons have compiled an overall record of 36-2-4.
