Victoria Licata of Getzville prepares to dual her opponent during the Fencing Center of Buffalo’s Bears Challenge Tournament on Saturday at the Maryvale Community Center. Gold medal winners of the event included (unrated mixed foil) Eileen McIver of Lockport and (Senior Division III epee) Struan Shrimpton of Rochester. Earning silver medals were (unrated mixed foil) Michael Licata of Getzville and (Senior Division III epee) Scott Leadley of Rochester. Bronze medal winners included Scott Dewey of Buffalo and Robert Smith of Tonawanda, who tied in the unrated mixed foil, as well as Michael Kugel of Tonawanda and Graylin Booher of Geneseo,
