DECEMBER 10
DWI...A 32-year-old Como Park Boulevard man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the man’s address on a report of a rearend accident in which the man’s vehicle had driven across two front lawns. Upon arriving and interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18.
ASSAULT...A 37-year-old Lindbergh Court man was arrested after police responded to the man’s residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer’s arrival, a victim stated that the man hit her face with the back of his hand, causing a cut on the victim’s lip. The victim also alleged that after she left the address, the man text-messaged the victim’s cellular phone, stating, “You are dead.”
HARASSMENT...A 36-year-old Kenville Road woman was arrested after police responded to the woman’s residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer’s arrival, a victim stated the woman hit his chin several times with a metal bar.
DECEMBER 11
UNLAWFUL DEALING WITH FIREWORKS...An 18-year-old North Tonawanda man was arrested after police stopped the man’s vehicle, which was traveling on a Harlem Road access road, after determining the man had an outstanding arrest warrant in North Tonawanda. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located five bottle rockets and 10 other types of illegal fireworks.
POSSESSION...A 37-year-old Marne Road woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman’s vehicle make several stops while traveling eastbound on East Delavan Avenue. Officers believed the stops were part of drug transactions, and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. The woman reportedly stated that her boyfriend smokes marijuana in the vehicle, and that she “had no drugs.” During a pat search, an officer located three bags containing alleged marijuana in the woman’s possession. With assistance from a K-9 unit, police also found alleged marijuana and Lortab pills in the woman’s purse and the driver’s seat.
DECEMBER 12
DWI...A 26-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman’s vehicle swerve between lanes several times while traveling eastbound onto Genesee Street from the Kensington Expressway. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the woman’s license was suspended. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 43-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police escorted the man to pick up belongings at a Winkler Road residence. After a landlord at the address advised the man that he could only take some of his belongings at that time, the man reportedly yelled a profanity while several children and other individuals were nearby.
POSSESSION...A 38-year-old Lackawanna woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman hitchhiking northbound along Dick Road. During a pat search, an officer located several Codene and Clonazepam pills in the woman’s pocket.
DECEMBER 13
LARCENY...A 45-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Union Road grocery store on a report of a larceny. Upon an officer’s arrival, a complainant stated the man concealed almost $200 worth of merchandise and attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. A loss prevention officer stopped the man and held him before police arrived.
DECEMBER 14
POSSESSION...A 32-year-old Columbia Road, Depew man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man’s vehicle swerving between lanes several times while traveling eastbound on Broadway. Police also observed that the vehicle had darkly tinted windows, and a traffic stop was initiated. The man was reportedly shaking while talking to police, who later located 24 Hydrocodone pills in the man’s pocket.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... An 18- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to an Ivanhoe Road address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer’s arrival, a victim stated the man, against whom the victim had an order of protection, pounded on a door of the victim’s residence. A witness stated that the man was hiding inside a Buffalo deli, where police apprehended Toney.
DECEMBER 15
DRIVING AFTER ALCOHOL CONSUMED...A 20-year-old East Aurora woman was arrested after police radar paced the woman’s vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Harlem Road, at 55 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes. The woman, who stated she was 20 years old, recorded a positive result on an alco sensor and .05 on a breath test.
POSSESSION...A 41-year-old Amherst man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after patrol officers observed the man participating in a drug transaction at a Buffalo address. Police stopped Bova’s vehicle on the New York State Thruway near the Kensington Expressway, and officers observed the man attempting to conceal an object in his front pocket. Police located alleged cocaine in the man’s right front pants pocket.
POSSESSION...A 20-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man’s vehicle traveling northbound on Harlem Road with a suspended registration. A traffic stop was initiated and police determined that the man’s license was also suspended. The man stated that he had two Lortab pills in his pants pocket, where officers located the items.
DECEMBER 16
DWI/POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Windwood Court man and a 23-year-old Kenville Road man were arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the Windwood Court man traveling eastbound on Maryvale Drive at a high rate of speed and with an inadequate exhaust system. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed an open beer can in the center console. The Kenville Road man, who was a passenger, stated the Windwood man didn’t have a license. A background check revealed the Windwood man’s license was suspended. Upon interviewing the Windwood man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed he had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The Windwood man refused to submit to an alco sensor or breath test. The Kenville Road man reportedly stated that he had two bags containing alleged marijuana in his right sock, where police located the items. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a burnt alleged marijuana cigarette in an ash tray. The Windwood man later kicked and punched walls in a cell.
DWI...A 25-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man’s vehicle swerve over double yellow lines several times while traveling southbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the man stated he consumed two beers earlier at a Dick Road tavern. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and “slightly slurred” speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.
DWI...A 26-year-old Alden man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Genesee Street address on a report of an accident in which the man’s vehicle struck a building. Upon arrival, police observed the man in the back of an ambulance because he had inadequate blood sugar levels. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.
HARASSMENT/RESISTING ARREST...A 36-year-old French Road man was arrested after police responded to the man’s address on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer’s arrival, a complainant stated the man, who was intoxicated, grabbed her neck and covered her mouth.

DECEMBER 11
POSSESSION...A 56-year-old Darwin Drive, Depew man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a report of a possibly intoxicated driver operating a vehicle southbound on Transit Road. Police observed the man’s vehicle, which matched the report’s description, traveling westbound on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and upon searching the man’s vehicle, an officer located an alleged “crack” stem with residue in the center console.
DWAI BY DRUGS/ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD...A 30-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man, both of Jane Lane, Depew, were arrested for driving while ability impaired by drugs and endangering the welfare of a child after police responded to a George Urban Boulevard gas station on a report of an accident in which the couple’s vehicle struck a building. Upon an officer’s arrival, the woman stated she backed the vehicle into a building and caused damage while the man was inside the gas station. Police observed that both the man and woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. The couple also admitted to taking Lortab pills earlier that day, and the man admitted driving to the gas station with the couple’s young child in the back seat. Field sobriety tests were administered and both the man and woman were taken into custody.
Cleve Hill student arrested
for possession, lunch theft
A 17-year-old Allendale Road male was arrested on December 13 after police responded to Cleveland Hill High School on a report of an uncooperative student in the cafeteria. Upon an officer’s arrival, a witness stated she observed the male eat food items from buffet containers while waiting in a service line, then leave the area without paying for the items. The male reportedly acted in a “disrespectful manner” toward lunch staff. Police located alleged marijuana in a plastic cylinder inside the male’s pocket.
