Voting Tuesday in three districts

Contested races are under way in three additional fire districts: Bellevue, Doyle and South Line. There are uncontested races in the Cleveland Hill, Forks, Hy-View, Pine Hill and U-Crest fire districts.

Polls are open in all districts on Tuesday. The following is a quick view of the other contested races in Cheektowaga fire districts and polling times:

Bellevue

Incumbent Wallace Long faces four challengers. Peter Gerlach, Jarrod Kaier, Edward Kutas and John McFarland are all looking to unseat Long.

Polls are open from 6-9 p.m. at the Bellevue Fire Hall, 511 Como Park Boulevard, near Bennett Road.

Doyle

Incumbent Edmund Kosobucki faces two challengers, Jerry Sprada and Ken Carlucci.

Only the Doyle-1 Fire Hall will be used for voting. The polls are open from 6-9 p.m. at the hall, 2199 William Street, at Medina and Alaska streets.

South Line

Commissioner Ed Filkowski faces a challenge by Tom Williams.

The main fire hall, 1049 French Road, will be open for voting between 1-9 p.m.
