NOVEMBER 12
POSSESSION...A 37-year-old Hamburg man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Harlem Road, at 52 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated near Hurd Street and the man reportedly told conflicting accounts of his previous whereabouts. An officer found alleged cocaine near the driver's seat.
DWI...A 40-year-old Fonda Drive woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle swerve onto the shoulder of the road while traveling along Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
POSSESSION...A 28-year-old George Urban Boulevard man and 20- year-old Buffalo man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the 28-year-old traveling westbound on Clinton Street with a rear license plate that wasn't illuminated. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed in plain view an alleged marijuana cigarette near the center console. Police also located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the 20-yearold's possession. During a search of the vehicle, officers found alleged marijuana and a Hydrocodone pill.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 23- year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Willowlawn Parkway address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the woman had broken the front window of the residence. Police observed a broken window, as well as blood on the door, caused by the woman cutting her hand when she punched the glass. Officers later located the woman at her residence.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 27- year-old Applewood Drive man was arrested after police responded to a West Melcourt Drive address on a report of a suspicious person slashing tires on vehicles. Upon an officer's arrival, a witness stated she observed the man slash four tires on a victim's vehicle with a sword, then flee the location in his vehicle. Police located the man, as well as several swords, at his residence.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 39- year-old Hoerner Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a Hoerner address on a report of harassing telephone calls. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man, against whom the victim had an order of protection, had called her several times, stating he would "get a rifle and shoot her in the head." The man also came to the victim's residence and threatened her again before police arrived.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 21- year-old Leni Lane man was arrested after police responded to a Cleveland Drive address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, an officer observed from outside the residence a broken window. Police believed the man pounded on and broke a window of a victim's residence, then fled the scene. Police later located the man at his residence.
POSSESSION...A 37-year-old man with no address given was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man near a Town Park bathroom after park hours. An officer located alleged marijuana in the man's pants pocket.
NOVEMBER 13
HARASSMENT...An 18-year-old Cayuga Creek Road woman was arrested after police responded to a Harlem Road address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman grabbed and pulled on the victim's shirt before police arrived.
ASSAULT...An 18-year-old Pine Ridge Road man, a 16-year-old Ivanhoe Road male and a 16-year-old Walden Avenue male were arrested after police responded to a fight at Cheektowaga Central High School. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated the Ivanhoe and Pine Ridge males had fought the 18- year-old earlier. Following a verbal argument, the Walden male reportedly "sucker-punched" the 18-year-old, who was being restrained by a school administrator.
POSSESSION...A 41-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to Thruway Plaza on a report of an individual who was trespassing. Upon arrival, police observed the man "begging for money" with a paper cup. An off-duty police officer stated the man had refused to leave the location even after he had been told several times to do so. Police found an alleged "crack" pipe in the man's possession.
NOVEMBER 14
DWI...A 22-year-old French Road woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a French Road location on a report of an accident in which the woman's vehicle was involved. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman's vehicle struck the victim's vehicle while traveling on French Road, causing the victim to sustain a laceration on his lip. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test. A background check revealed the woman had a previous DWI conviction in November 2005, making this arrest a felony.
ROBBERY...A 29-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue department store on a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, police observed a complainant restraining the woman. The complainant stated the woman took $160 worth of merchandise, placed it in several bags and attempted to exit the store without paying for the items. A security alarm sounded and the woman reportedly became "verbally argumentative" with the complainant, fighting and yelling. According to the complainant, the woman also sprayed him with pepper spray on his face and chest before police arrived.
POSSESSION...A 38-year-old Tonawanda woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman not wearing her seatbelt while operating her vehicle eastbound on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated near Harlem Road and the woman couldn't produce her license, which she later admitted was suspended. During a pat search, an officer located several Valium and Oxycodone pills in the woman's jacket pocket.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 32- year-old Cherokee Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police observed several broken items inside the residence. A victim stated the man broke a television and telephone, and police took the man into custody.
NOVEMBER 15
POSSESSION...A 32-year-old Zoerb Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Broadway with an inadequately illuminated license plate. The man's vehicle also passed through a stop sign on the corner of Michael Drive and Reiman Street. A traffic stop was attempted, but the man's vehicle continued traveling on Harlem Road and then over a curb on Gierlach Street. Patrol cars blockaded the man's vehicle on Mann Street. Several officers forced the man to exit his vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, police found two bags containing alleged cocaine under the driver's seat.
POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Wagner Street, Sloan woman and 38- year-old Buffalo woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the Sloan woman make an abrupt turn while traveling eastbound from Harlem Road onto William Street. A traffic stop was initiated near Crisfield Avenue and both of the women told conflicting accounts of their previous whereabouts. When the women exited the vehicle, an alleged "crack" pipe fell to the ground.
NOVEMBER 16
POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Yvonne Avenue man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle make an "unsafe" lane change while traveling northbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from the interior. During a search of the vehicle, police located three plastic bags containing alleged marijuana inside a driver's side door panel.
CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 23-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of stolen property. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman took the victim's purse, which contained several credit cards and a cellular phone, one day earlier. Officers located the woman a short time later and recovered the purse and stolen items while he was in custody at police headquarters.
AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 53-year-old Grand Island man was arrested after police responded to a French Road address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man had called him and threatened to kill him because of religious differences. The man also later threatened to take an officer to "the district attorney's office." Police located the man at his residence.
NOVEMBER 17
POSSESSION...A 32-year-old Niagara Falls man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man near the garage of a Redoak Drive address. Upon approaching the man, an officer detected an odor of marijuana. During a pat search, police located a box filled with alleged marijuana, an alleged marijuana cigarette and two packs of rolling papers in the man's possession.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT/OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION...A 26-year-old Patrick Lane man was arrested after police responded to a Patrick Lane address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man, against whom the victim had an order of protection, came to her residence and called her a derogatory name. The man also allegedly choked the victim in front of the victim's young child. When police arrived, the man struggled with officers and had to be physically subdued.
ASSAULT... A 19-year-old Calderwood Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man, who was reportedly intoxicated, yelled at and pushed her, injuring the victim.
NOVEMBER 18
DWI...A 31-year-old Amherst man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a red light and strike a curb while traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was later initiated on William Street and the man reportedly stated he had consumed "a few" beers and mixed drinks at two Buffalo taverns. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18.
DWI...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an Aero Drive location on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .09.
DWI...A 21-year-old Fairhaven Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve onto the shoulder of the road several times while traveling eastbound on Cleveland Drive. A traffic stop was initiated on Cayuga Road and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "very slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.

DWI...A 59-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Broadway address on a report of unknown trouble. Upon arrival, an officer observed the woman's vehicle back up and strike another vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
NOVEMBER 12
DWI...A 20-year-old Beverly Drive, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the man's address on a report of a hitand run accident. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant told police he heard a loud "bang" and noticed damage to
both his and the man's vehicles. Police located the man's vehicle, which had extensive damage congruent with the victim's vehicle, in the driveway of another Beverly Drive residence. The man told police he earlier had consumed "a few" beers and had "lost control" of his vehicle, which struck the complainant's vehicle. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18.
DWI...A 46-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling eastbound on Homeworth Parkway, at 40 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. The man's vehicle also passed through a stop sign and police initiated a traffic stop on Poincianna Parkway. Police observed in plain view a cooler containing two open beers next to the driver's seat. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .17. Breath test: refused.
DWI...A 54-year-old Lancer Court, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man displaying common signs of intoxication while he attempted to post bail for an acquaintance at police headquarters. An officer observed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on him. The man was in possession of his vehicle's keys and admitted to driving to the police station. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .19.
NOVEMBER 14
DWI...A 23-year-old Jenny Lane man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed a passenger in the man's vehicle drinking from a large beer pitcher while the vehicle was traveling northbound on Transit Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the man, who was driving, reportedly stated he was "taking a drunken friend home." The man couldn't produce his license, and a background check revealed the man's license was suspended. An officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage on the man. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
NOVEMBER 15
TRESPASSING...A 19-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue railroad on a report of a male "standing on rails and moving out of the way of moving objects at the last minute." A conductor reportedly had to apply a train's emergency brakes to avoid hitting the man, who could not give a logical explanation for being at the location.
NOVEMBER 18
HARASSMENT...A 42-year-old Kenmore woman was arrested after police responded to the area of Broadway and Borden roads on a report of a road rage incident. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated that following a traffic dispute, the woman exited her vehicle, reached through the complainant's vehicle's window and scratched the complainant's face and neck.
