OCTOBER 14
DWI...A 22-year-old Mayfair Court man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle, which had sparks "shooting out" from underneath, traveling southbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a moderate odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had "glazed" eyes and slurred speech. A background check revealed the man's vehicle's registration was suspended. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .16.
HARASSMENT...A 21-year-old Sable Palm Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man came home and started throwing items at the victim while the victim held her young daughter. The man then allegedly slapped and punched the victim. Police located the man at the corner of Sable Palm and Poincianna Parkway.
POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Buffalo man, a 16-year-old Ashleaf Drive male and a 16-year-old Losson Road male were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Pine Ridge Road parking lot after Rescue firefighters reported an individual was placing a bag of drugs under the back seat while in a vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed the man and the two 16-year-olds in the vehicle, and the man reportedly stated there was marijuana in the back seat. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located two bags containing alleged marijuana under the driver's seat, as well as a smoking pipe on the floor of the back seat.
TRESPASSING/DISORDERLY CONDUCT...A 36-year-old Amherst woman, a 16-year-old Amherst male and a 15-year-old Amherst female were arrested after police responded to Walden Galleria on a report of trespassing. Upon arrival, police observed the woman and the minors being held by mall security. The woman reportedly caused a "disruptive" scene, screaming profanities. Security guards stated the minors had been asked to leave the mall earlier, but that they returned and were taken into custody.
HARASSMENT...An 82-year-old Atlantic Avenue, Sloan man was arrested after police responded to the man's residence on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated he had been walking past the man's residence when the man shouted profanities, shined a flashlight in the victim's face and punched the victim's face.
OCTOBER 15
BURGLARY...A 19-year-old Hawthorne Avenue man and 21-year-old Ludwig Avenue man were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the 19-year-old traveling without its headlights illuminated while heading southbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated on Vern Lane near Fairelm Lane, but a male ran from the vehicle before being apprehended in front of a Vern address. An officer observed two pry bars on the floor of the vehicle, as well as a garbage bag containing lottery tickets and cigarette packs. Police believed that the men had stolen the lottery tickets and cigarettes from a Union Road convenience store.
ASSAULT...An 18-year-old Marne Road man was arrested after police responded to a Balbach Drive residence on a report of an assault. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man threatened him with a knife and a wrench, then punched the victim in his forehead and eye.
DWI...A 24-year-old Sprucewood Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a stop sign while traveling at a high rate of speed at the corner of Bronx Drive and Sprucewood. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18.
STALKING...A 36-year-old Lancaster man was arrested after police responded to a Slate Creek Drive address on a report of stalking. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man threatened to kill her. The victim also alleged the man had threatened the victim and her friends several times.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 21- year-old Pendlewood Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that during an argument, the man punched through glass on a door and broke a chain link lock.
OCTOBER 17
POSSESSION...A 33-year-old Lancaster man, 44-year-old Beryl Drive woman and 49-year-old Lancaster man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman and 49-year-old man acting suspiciously near a Union Road store while the 33-year-old sat in a vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed an alleged "crack" pipe in plain view, as well as a "push rod" with alleged cocaine residue, on the floor near the back seat. The 33-year-old also reportedly threw an alleged "crack" pipe to the ground. The woman reportedly admitted to having a "crack" pipe in her purse. Police also found alleged marijuana in the woman's possession.
OCTOBER 18
TRESPASSING...A 29-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue gas station on a report of a possible prostitute in a parking lot. Upon arrival, an officer located the woman, who matched the report's description, in a parking lot. A gas station manager stated that the woman didn't have permission to be at the location.
HARASSMENT...An 81-year-old St. Paul Court man was arrested after police responded to a St. Paul address on a report of a neighbor dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man had been "constantly" shouting profanities and threats toward the victim. The man also allegedly attempted to strike a fence to cause the victim's dogs to start barking.
UNDERAGE SALE OF ALCOHOL...A 47-year-old East Amherst man was arrested after police responded to a Genesee Street convenience store on a report of underage sales of alcohol. Police reportedly instructed a minor to enter the store and buy alcohol. The man reportedly sold the minor a four-pack of wine coolers without asking for the minor's identification.
OCTOBER 19
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT/ POSSESSION...A 47-year-old Lilac Place man and 37-year-old Glenwood Court woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to the woman's residence for a premises check. Upon arrival, police observed the two at the location. A background check revealed the woman had a stay-away order of protection against the man. Police observed numerous alleged "crack" pipes on a dresser in a bedroom, as well as a pipe containing alleged "crack" on a chair.
POSSESSION... A 32-year-old Zoerb Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Broadway with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed the man throw an object out his window. Police located a "chore boy" on the ground near the man's vehicle, as well as an alleged "crack" pipe and alleged "crack" cocaine in the man's sock.
OCTOBER 20
ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD...A 53-year-old Woodgate Drive woman was arrested after police responded to a Gregory Court address on a report of unknown trouble in which the woman called police and stated there was a "freak of nature" in the residence. Upon arrival, an officer observed that the woman was "highly intoxicated" while she was watching a young child.
OCTOBER 21
DWI/POSSESSION...A 28-year-old Lockport woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman's vehicle swerving between lanes while traveling southbound on Dick Road. A traffic stop was initiated near Harris Court and an officer observed numerous open beer cans on the floor of the vehicle. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a "very strong" odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and "very slurred" speech. The woman reportedly stated that she was coming from a friend's party in which she consumed "a couple" of beers. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .22. Police located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the vehicle's center console. A background check revealed the woman had a previous DWI conviction in November 2001, making this arrest a felony.
POSSESSION...A 23-year-old Kenville Road man, 20-year-old Buffalo man and 23-year-old Cleveland Drive man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the Kenville Road man displaying an inadequately illuminated tail light while heading northbound on Kenville Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the three reportedly told conflicting accounts of their previous whereabouts. The 20- year-old reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana earlier. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine near the windshield.
POSSESSION...A 34-year-old George Urban Boulevard man and 42- year-old Buffalo woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man traveling westbound on Broadway with a loud muffler and without a properly illuminated license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed a metal push rod, commonly used with "crack" cocaine use, between the woman's legs. Police also located two small "crack" cocaine rocks on the floor near the front passenger's seat.
HARASSMENT...A 27-year-old Boll Street, Sloan woman was arrested after police responded to a Genesee Street location on a report of a female beating a male in a vehicle. Police located the reported vehicle on the corner of Cleveland and Harlem roads and initiated a traffic stop. A complainant stated the woman hit the victim's face, and police observed bruises on the victim's face.
POSSESSION...A 41-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling on the corner of George Urban Boulevard and Toelsin Road with a forged inspection sticker. A traffic stop was initiated and during a search of the vehicle, an officer located six Hydrocodone pills in the glove compartment.
HARASSMENT...A 28-year-old Virginia Road man was arrested after police responded to the woman's residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman "verbally abused" her during an argument.
DWI...A 62-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Kensington Avenue address on a report of an accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .11.
CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 28- year-old Lockport man was arrested after police responded to a Sable Palm Drive address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon arrival, police observed the man inside the residence. A background check revealed a victim's stay-away order of protection prohibits the man from being at the Sable Palm location.
DWI...A 56-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Genesee Street and Barbara Place on a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Police radar paced the man vehicle, which matched the report's description, traveling 55 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone while traveling northbound on Genesee. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed an open bottle of alcohol on the front passenger's seat. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .12.
POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Queens Village, New York man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the glove compartment.

OCTOBER 14
POSSESSION...A 22-year-old Alden man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Transit Road coffee shop on a report of an intoxicated driver traveling through the middle of the coffee shop's drive-through. Police located the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, at the location and initiated a traffic stop. During a pat search, police later located alleged "crack" cocaine in the man's possession.
POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Miller Street, Depew man and a 21-yearold Penora Street, Depew man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Transit Road coffee shop on a report of a vehicle involved in possible drug activity. Upon arrival, police observed a vehicle driven by the 21-year-old, which matched the report's description, and initiated a traffic stop. Police located alleged marijuana in the center console of the vehicle. During a pat search, an officer found alleged marijuana in the 19- year-old's possession.
OCTOBER 20
DWI...A 21-year-old Cardy Lane man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of North Creek Drive and Candace Lane on a report of a vehicle striking a tree. Upon arrival, an officer noticed that the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, had struck a tree in front of a North Creek residence. Police also located the man on Jane Lane. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had slurred speech. The man reportedly stated that he had consumed six beers at an Aero Drive adult entertainment club. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.
DWI...A 40-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle cross over a double yellow line twice while traveling eastbound on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18.
DWI...A 37-year-old Hamburg man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a hit-andrun accident on Walden Avenue. Police observed the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, traveling near Sheldon Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.
OCTOBER 22
DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 29-year-old Lackawanna Avenue, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a noise complaint at the man's residence. Upon arrival, police observed the man throwing debris at the rear window of his address and yelling derogatory remarks at a female acquaintance.
DWI...A 26-year-old Hyland Road, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle remain stopped through two traffic signal cycles at the corner of Transit Road and Broadway. Police observed the man "passed out" on his steering wheel. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13.
