OCTOBER 8

POSSESSION...A 25-year-old Reo Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle in which the man was a passenger traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue without a properly illuminated license plate. A traffic stop was initiated near Reo and a background check revealed the man had an outstanding arrest warrant in Florida. The man reportedly stated he had "powder" on him, and police located 400 milligrams of alleged cocaine in the man's possession.

POSSESSION...A 58-year-old Hamburg woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue without a properly illuminated license plate. A traffic stop was initiated near Thruway Plaza Drive, and the woman reportedly told conflicting accounts of her whereabouts. Police found alleged marijuana wrapped in a tissue in the woman's purse.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT/ CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 22-yearold Kenville Road man was arrested after police responded to a Kenville address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man came to the victim's residence, cracked a window and broke a screen in an attempt to enter the residence. Police located the man in his vehicle and determined the victim had an order of protection against the man.

DWI...A 20-year-old Groell Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle, which lacked a driver's side mirror, attempt to pass two vehicles in the center lane while traveling southbound on Union Road. A traffic stop was initiated near Brown Avenue and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.

TRESPASSING/AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 27-year-old Wilson man was arrested after police responded to a Zoerb Avenue residence on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the

man banged on the door of the victim's residence. The victim also alleged the man had repeatedly called her, even after the victim asked the man to stop doing so.

DWI/ENDANGERING THE WELFARE OF A CHILD... A 43- year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Walden Avenue near the New York State Thruway on a report of an erratic driver. Police observed the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, pulling out of a Walden gas station and later travel over a center concrete median on Union Road. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused. Police observed the man's young grandchild inside the vehicle.

HARASSMENT...A 39-year-old Fonda Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Fonda address on a report of a neighbor dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man pushed a washer from a fence in the direction of the victim, then yelled several derogatory comments to the victim with her children nearby.

POSSESSION...A 43-year-old Hamburg man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue without a license plate lamp. A traffic stop was initiated near Leonard Post Drive and an officer observed the man attempt to hide an object near his seat. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine under an ashtray and alleged marijuana in the man's jacket pocket.

OCTOBER 9

ASSAULT...A 40-year-old Victoria Boulevard man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of unknown trouble. Upon an officer's arrival, the man reportedly stated he and a victim got into an argument. Police found the victim lying on a bed and crying. The victim stated the man punched her face, slapped her and threw her onto a bed. The man also allegedly choked the victim before police arrived.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 42-- year-old Clinton Street woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman broke the victim's laptop computer, which is valued at $500.

POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Kenmore man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling northbound on Eggert Road with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated on the Kensington Expressway and police observed a large dagger in the center console, as well as a young child in the back seat. During a pat search, an officer located a switchblade in the man's possession. Police also found 14 plastic bags containing alleged cocaine near the center console, as well as 19 rounds of ammunition in the trunk.

OCTOBER 10

POSSESSION/FORGERY... A 41- year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling westbound on Broadway with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated near Crocker Street and the man stated he "didn't have his license on him." During a pat search, police located a magnetic case containing alleged "crack" cocaine in the man's pants pocket, as well as an alleged "crack" pipe in the man's pant leg. Ross reportedly gave police a false name and date of birth and signed another name onto a property receipt during the booking process. However, a background check revealed the man's actual identity.

POSSESSION...A 24-year-old man and 39-year-old woman, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to the area of Broadway on a report of a vehicle that left a Shanley Street tavern following an assault. Police located a vehicle driven by the man, which matched the report's description, and initiated a traffic stop. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged cocaine between the driver's seat and center console, as well as a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana and two alleged marijuana cigarettes in the back seat. During a pat search, an officer located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana, an alleged marijuana cigarette and a Lortab pill in the woman's possession.

POSSESSION OF BURGLAR'S TOOLS...A 24-year-old man and 21- year-old man, both of Rochester, were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the 24-year-old traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue without a front license plate and only one brake light. A traffic stop was initiated but the vehicle continued traveling until stopping near a Walden store. An officer observed a large blanket covering objects in the back seat, and both of the men told conflicting

accounts of what was under the blanket. Police found 10 five-gallon containers of gasoline, several bomb-making manuals, powder aluminum, several ropes and pumps on the back seat under the blanket.

OCTOBER 11

POSSESSION...A 41-year-old woman and 25-year-old man, both of Main Street, Depew, as well as Justin D. Biller, 27, of William Street, Depew, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 27-yearold man traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with an "extremely loud" muffler. A traffic stop was initiated near the New York State Thruway and a background check revealed the 27-year-old's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine on the front passenger's seat in which the woman had been sitting.

DWI...A 23-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve between lanes while traveling northbound on Transit Road. A traffic stop was initiated near Zurbrick Road and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Police also observed an open beer can in a cup holder. The man reportedly stated he had consumed one beer at a French Road tavern. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.

DWI...A 50-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle change lanes without signaling while traveling eastbound on Broadway. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .24.

POSSESSION...A 59-year-old Genesee Street man, a 15-year-old Eggert Road male and a 16-year-old Walden Avenue male were arrested after police observed the 59-year-old's vehicle stop in a "no parking" zone and pick up the males, who both sat in the front seat, on the corner of Walden and Gualbert Avenue. Police stopped the vehicle on Straley Avenue near Gualbert, and the three reportedly told conflicting accounts of their previous whereabouts. During a search of the vehicle, with assistance

from a K-9 unit, police located three plastic bags containing alleged marijuana and a hypodermic needle under the front passenger seat.

OCTOBER 12

ASSAULT...A 39-year-old Currier Street, Sloan woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of a stabbing. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman stabbed him. The woman reportedly told police the victim had been "verbally abusing" her, and that she "couldn't take it any more."

OCTOBER 7

DWI...An 18-year-old East Amherst man and 52-year-old Como Park Boulevard, Depew man were arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an accident on the corner of Broadway and Indian roads in which the men's vehicles were involved. Upon arrival, police observed the 18-year-old's vehicle on the grass near the street, as well as the 52-year-old's vehicle on the side of the road. Cheektowaga police were also at the scene, and an officer stated that both of the men may have consumed alcohol. The 18-year-old reportedly stated he consumed one beer earlier. Upon interviewing the 18-yearold, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the 18- year-old had glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .08. Breath test: refused. Upon interviewing the 52-year-old, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the 52-year-old had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .04.

OCTOBER 11

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Lancaster man and a 17-year-old Lancaster male were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to basketball courts at an Alys Drive East location on a report of suspicious vehicles. Upon arrival, police observed several individuals, including the 18-year-old and the 17-year-old, in a vehicle. An officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior of the vehicle. The 18-year-old reportedly stated he had a plastic bag containing marijuana in his possession and handed the item to an officer. Police also located a smoking pipe and plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the 17-yearold's possession.
