JFK seniors Craft and Smith nominated for Wendy's Heisman Award
John F. Kennedy High School seniors Greg Craft and Danielle Smith were recently nominated by JFK Athletics Director Casey Snyder for the prestigious Wendy's High School Heisman Award, celebrating the achievements of the nation's top high school seniors in and out of the classroom. The award honors students' academic aptitude and athletic talent. Craft plays guard and linebacker for JFK's varsity football team and also runs indoor track. Smith is captain of the girls' tennis team, as well as president of the Student Council and Senior Class. She also works as a public address announcer at the Bears' football games.
Twelve national finalists will participate in the Heisman weekend's festivities in New York City from December 8-10. ESPN2 will feature the 12 during the Wendy's High School Heisman Awards Ceremony.
