CHEEKTOWAGA

SEPTEMBER 17

DWI...A 51-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle cross over double yellow lines while traveling on Pine Ridge Road near Pinewood Terrace. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18. A background check revealed the man had two previous DWI convictions in 1993 and 1999, making this arrest a felony.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 34- year-old Rondelay Court man was arrested after police responded to a Rondelay address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man, who was at the location, was "no longer welcome at the residence because of alcohol and drug problems." The man also reportedly admitted to breaking a door at the residence.

SEPTEMBER 18

FALSE PERSONATION... An 18- year-old man and 23-year-old man, both of Windwood Court, were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the 18-year-old traveling eastbound on the Kensington Expressway with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated on Genesee Street, and neither of the men were able to produce identification. The two reportedly gave police false names, and a background check revealed their actual identities.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 45-year-old Batavia man was arrested after police responded to a Kensington Avenue address on a report of a male "passed out" on the grass. Upon arrival, police observed Cleveland Hill firefighters attempting to assist tttthe man, who was allegedly intoxicated and matched the report's description. The man reportedly threatened officers, using profanity even after police warned him about the consequences of doing so.

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Walden Avenue woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman and a driver not wearing seatbelts in a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Walden Avenue near Hoerner Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman reportedly couldn't produce any identification. During a pat search, an officer located four plastic bags containing alleged marijuana and a bag containing alleged marijuana seeds in the woman's right pants pocket.

SEPTEMBER 19

HARASSMENT/CRIMINAL CONTEMPT...A 41-year-old woman and 34-year-old woman, both of Glenwood Court, were arrested after police responded to a Glenwood address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon an officer's arrival, the 34- year-old stated the 41-year-old walked by the window of the 34-year-old's residence and stated, "You just got us thrown out." Police determined the 34-year-old had an order of protection against the 41-year-old. A witness stated that tthe 34-year-old later started a fight with the 41-year-old while the 41-year-old was inside the witness's residence cleaning laundry. The witness, who stated the 34- year-old was not supposed to be at the witness' residence, alleged that she pushed the 41-year-old into a wall.

SEPTEMBER 20

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 32- year-old Blasdell man was arrested after police responded to a Williamstowne Court address on a report of an order of protection violation. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man and a female came to the victim's residence, even though the victim has a stay-away order of protection against the man.

POSSESSION/FALSE PERSONATION... A 24-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man's vehicle traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue with an inadequate brake light. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the man making "furtive movements." During a pat search, police located three packets containing alleged heroin, including two in his underwear and one in a sweater pocket. An officer also located a spoon with residue and a needle in his shorts pocket.

POSSESSION...A 52-year-old Alpine Place woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to the woman's residence on a report of an individual smoking drugs. Upon arrival, an officer observed the woman, who matched the report's description, holding an alleged "crack" pipe in her hand.

POSSESSION...A 25-year-old Fonda Drive woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling on Harlem Road without a license plate lamp. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed the woman's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located 29 Hydrocodone pills inside a Tramadal pill bottle.

DWI...A 24-year-old Ellen Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Virginia Road address on a witness' allegation that the man's vehicle struck another vehicle while traveling northbound on Virginia. The witness reportedly observed the man's vehicle pass through a stop sign while traveling on Virginia before turning into an oncoming traffic lane on Ellen Drive and striking a vehicle and light stand. Police observed the man in his vehicle and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .18.

SEPTEMBER 21

FORGERY...A 19-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of an individual using victims' credit cards to make purchases without the victims' approval. Upon arrival, police determined the woman had signed a first victim's name to a receipt after making a $62 purchase, then signed a second victim's name to another receipt after making a $38 purchase. Neither of the victims said the woman had permission to use their credit cards.

SEPTEMBER 22

ASSAULT...A 22-year-old Deluth, Georgia man was arrested after police responded to a Dick Road address on an Emergency Medical Service call. Upon arrival, police observed a victim had a swollen eyelid and cut marks "all over" his body. The man reportedly admitted to beating and hitting the victim.

RESISTING ARREST/CRIMINAL CONTEMPT...A 42-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to Thruway Plaza on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman "verbally abused" him. A background check revealed the victim had an order of protection against the woman, who reportedly struggled with police before being subdued.

HARASSMENT...A 40-year-old man with no address given was arrested after police responded to a Kingswood Drive address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated a female accompanying the man stood in the way of his vehicle, then yelled a racial slur toward the victim. When the victim asked the female not to use such language, the man reportedly grabbed and pushed the victim, stating, " You call the cops." Police located the man, who was reportedly intoxicated and uncooperative, at a Kingswood address.

SEPTEMBER 23

POSSESSION/FALSE PERSONATION... A 40-year-old woman and 34- year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Walden Avenue gas station on a report of prostitution. Upon arrival, an officer observed the man and woman who matched the report's description, in a vehicle. The woman reportedly gave police a false name, but a background check revealed her actual identity and that she had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo. During a search of the vehicle, police located five Darvocet pills under the center console. A background check revealed the man also had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo.

TRESPASSING...An 18-year-old Victoria Boulevard woman and 14-yearold Buffalo female were arrested after police responded to Walden Galleria on a report of trespassing. Upon an officer's arrival, a mall security guard stated that he advised the woman and 14-year-old to leave the mall because of certain mall age regulations. However, the guard alleged the woman and the 14-year-old reentered the mall, where the guard held the two until police arrived.

POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Donlen Drive man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to a Genesee Street location on a report of individuals smoking marijuana in a vehicle. Police located the vehicle, which was driven by the man and matched the report's description, turning onto Ellwood Place from Genesee. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. Two minors reportedly pulled three bags containing alleged marijuana and a glass pipe from their clothing and handed the items to an officer.

SEPTEMBER 19

POSSESSION...A 65-year-old Amherst woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of Borden and Rowley roads on a report of a possibly intoxicated driver. Police observed the woman's vehicle, which matched the report's description, not signal while turning from Transit Road onto George Urban Boulevard. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the woman refused both an alco sensor and breath test. The woman also reportedly became combative with police and refused to be handcuffed until she was subdued.

SEPTEMBER 20

POSSESSION...A 39-year-old Pheasant Lane man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle pass through a red light while traveling southbound on Transit Road. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed a pipe in plain view, which the man stated was a marijuana pipe. The man also reportedly handed an officer a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana. Police located another plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the vehicle's center console.
