AUGUST 27

POSSESSION...A 24-year-old man and 22-year-old man, both of Buffalo, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. Police observed a vehicle in which the men were passengers traveling westbound on Walden Avenue with darkly tinted windows and without a driver's side mirror. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed in plain view an open alcohol container and alleged marijuana on the floor of the front passenger's seat in which the 24-yearold was sitting. During a search of the vehicle, police also located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana near the front passenger's seat, as well as an alleged marijuana cigarette in the rear seat in which the 22-year-old was sitting.

P O S S E S S I O N / FA L S E PERSONATION...A 23-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Broadway address on a report of the man "being chased by males with guns." Upon arrival, police noticed that the man was "high-strung," and the man reportedly gave police a false name. Police later determined the man's actual identity when they checked the man's birth certificate in his wallet. An officer located a medicine bottle containing Adderall and broken capsules, as well as a straw, in the man's possession.

EXPOSURE...A 23-year-old man and 18-year-old man, both of Windwood Court, were arrested after police responded to a Windwood address on a report of two males urinating on the side of a residence. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated he observed the men urinating near a residence.

DWI...A 42-year-old East Melcourt Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to East Melcourt on a report of an intoxicated driver. Upon an officer's arrival, two witnesses stated the man drove his vehicle "recklessly" on East Melcourt before arriving home. While interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .14.

AUGUST 28

POSSESSION...A 31-year-old Curtiss Street, Sloan man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Broadway location on a report of an individual who may have been involved in an earlier larceny being present. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, in his vehicle. The man reportedly stated he was a "crack" user and that if he was involved in the larceny, he was "high on 'crack.'" Upon searching the man's vehicle, police located an alleged "crack" pipe and two alleged "crack" cocaine rocks in a cigarette pack.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 24-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Meadowbrook Parkway address on a report of a disturbance. Upon an officer's arrival, a complainant stated the man began yelling and using "abusive language" during an argument with the complainant and her acquaintance. The man also allegedly threw beer bottles and kicked the complainant's vehicle.

P O S S E S S I O N / FA L S E PERSONATION...A 33-year-old Baltimore, Ohio man and 18-year-old Freehold, New Jersey man were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the Ohio man traveling southbound on Pine Ridge Road with a cracked windshield. A traffic stop was initiated on Walden Avenue and an officer observed a pipe containing alleged "crack" cocaine fall from the Ohio man's lap when he stepped out of the vehicle. The Ohio man allegedly told police he had a bag of "crack" in his pants pocket, where an officer located the alleged item. Police also located a bag containing alleged "crack" cocaine and a pipe containing alleged "crack" cocaine in a passenger door near which the New Jersey man had been sitting. The Ohio man later gave police a false name and date of birth, but a background check revealed the Ohio man's actual identity.

AUGUST 29

POSSESSION...A 37-year-old Buffalo man and 27-year-old Cayuga Creek Road woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the man pass through a stop sign at the corner of Henry Street and Veterans Place. A traffic stop was initiated on Cayuga Creek and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of alleged marijuana coming from the interior. The man allegedly stated he had a "joint" in the ashtray of the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle, police located 137 Hydrocodone pills in a duffel bag in the back seat of the vehicle and 13 pills in the woman's purse.

HARASSMENT...A 48-year-old Judith Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Slate Creek Drive location on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man threatened and punched the victim. Police later located the man at his residence.

DWI...A 48-year-old Lancaster man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an accident at a Como Park address in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed the man sitting behind the steering wheel of his vehicle with keys in the ignition. An officer also noticed a nearly-full cup containing a mixed drink in the center console. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .25. A background check revealed the man had a previous DWI conviction in Chautauqua County in 1998, making this arrest a felony.

HARASSMENT...An 18-year-old Gualbert Avenue man and a 17-year-old Gualbert Avenue male were arrested after police responded to a Gualbert address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated she and the two males got into an argument earlier at Town Park, and the 18-yearold grabbed the victim's arms and the 17-year-old slapped the victim's abdomen several times. The 18-year-old then allegedly shoved the victim to the ground. Police later located the 18-yearold and the 17-year-old at their residences.

POSSESSION...A 26-year-old Getzville man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man not wearing a seatbelt while traveling in a vehicle that was heading northbound on Eggert Road near Sugar Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the man reportedly later stated he had smoked a marijuana cigarette and gave an officer the alleged item. The man also allegedly stated he had four plastic bags containing alleged marijuana in a cigarette box under his seat, where police located the items.

CRIMINAL CONTEMPT... A 57year-old North Prince Drive man was arrested after police responded to a North Prince address on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man, from whom the victim had an order of protection, called her several derogatory names at the victim's residence. The man also reportedly punched and slapped the victim's face and grabbed her arm.

POSSESSION...A 30-year-old man and 21-year-old man, both of Penora Street, Depew; as well as 44-year-old Muskingum Street, Depew woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 30-year-old traveling eastbound on Broadway near Allied Drive with an inadequate muffler. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed the vehicle's insurance was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, police located alleged "crack" cocaine and an alleged "crack" pipe in the center console.

AUGUST 30

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 42-year-old Groell Avenue man was arrested after police responded to the area of Lovejoy and Boll streets on a report of a stolen vehicle. Police determined the man had stolen the vehicle, as well as a speed pass and a tool box, from a victim. An officer also located an alleged "crack" pipe in the man's possession. Depew Police assisted Cheektowaga Police during the incident, and it was determined that the man committed the larceny at a Walden Avenue, Depew location the previous day. The man had also reportedly stolen a generator, grill and battery booster from the victim, and police located the items at the man's residence.

HARASSMENT...A 24-year-old Buffalo was arrested after police responded to a Patrick Lane residence on a report of a dispute. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated she and the man had gotten into an argument and that the man punched the victim's face and fled the location. The man later returned to the residence and was taken into custody.

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Patsy Lane, Depew woman; 18-year-old Lancaster man and a 17-year-old Dean Road, Depew male were arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police observed the three on railroad tracks near Sonwil Drive. Upon approaching the three an officer observed that they were holding an alleged marijuana pipe and took the three into custody.

POSSESSION...A 21-year-old Gualbert Avenue man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Winkler Road location on a report of a suspicious person asking for money. Police located the man, who matched the report's description, on the corner of Genesee Street and Pine Ridge Road. During a pat search, an officer located an alleged "crack" pipe and a spoon in the man's right rear pants pocket.

DWI...A 31-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an accident on the Kensington Expressway in which the man's vehicle allegedly rearended another vehicle while traveling westbound. Upon arrival, police observed the man and a victim standing near the man's vehicle. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .13. The man reportedly stated he had consumed alcohol at a Buffalo tavern, and that he "had too much to drink."

DWI/RESISTING ARREST... A 54-year-old man and 45-year-old woman, both of Cambria Street, were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the man make unsafe lane changes while traveling on William Street near Wagner Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .16. A background check revealed the man had a previous DWI conviction in January 2003, making this arrest a felony. The woman, who was a passenger, reportedly refused to exit the vehicle and later pulled away from police, forcing an officer to subdue her before handcuffing her.

AUGUST 31

RESISTING ARREST... An 18year-old Danielle Drive man was arrested after police responded to a report of a female, who was allegedly "high on heroin," stealing items from her mother's residence and threatening to get gang members to "kill the family." Police observed the female in a vehicle traveling on French Road near Scrivner Road and initiated a traffic stop. Police also observed the man, who reportedly had a knife in his waistband, in the vehicle. An officer later had to reportedly physically restrain the man after he was uncooperative with police.

DWI...A 20-year-old East Aurora woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle cross over double yellow lines while traveling eastbound on French Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.

POSSESSION...A 29-year-old Sebring Drive man and a 26-year-old Buffalo man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police responded to an accident on the corner of Genesee Street and Avery Place, in which a vehicle that the men had traveled in, was involved. Upon arrival, police searched the vehicle and located two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana.

POSSESSION...A 26-year-old Amherst man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the man not wearing a seatbelt while operating his vehicle

northbound on Dick Road. A traffic stop was initiated near the Kensington Expressway and a background check revealed the man had an outstanding bench warrant in Amherst. During a search of the vehicle, police located 33 Methadone pills and two Suboxone pills in a cigarette box and in a key ring.

FALSE PERSONATION... A 25year-old Viola Street man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle traveling northbound on Harlem Road near Broadway with inadequate brake lights. The man reportedly gave police a false name and date of birth, but a background check revealed the man's actual identity and that he had two outstanding arrest warrants.

SEPTEMBER 1

POSSESSION...A 18-year-old Lockport man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man's vehicle traveling onto Harlem Road from Central Boulevard with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and during a search of the vehicle, an officer located a bag containing alleged marijuana in the center console.

DWI/POSSESSION...A 22-year-old Linden Street woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana after police radar paced the woman's vehicle traveling 52 miles per hour in a 35 MPH speed zone. The woman's vehicle was also heading southbound from Lynette Court onto Borden Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman reportedly stated she had consumed mixed drinks at a French Road tavern and was heading to a party at an acquaintance's residence. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15. Police located alleged marijuana, a smoking pipe and two Oxycontin pills in the woman's purse and on the side of the driver's seat.

THEFT OF SERVICES...A 56year-old Lockport man was arrested after police responded to the area of Southern Parkway and West Grand Boulevard on a complaint from the Erie County Water Authority that a landscaping company had "tapped into" a fire hydrant and was using water. Upon arrival, police observed that a fire hydrant had allegedly been tampered with and a landscaping employee reportedly stated that his foreman, the man, had hooked equipment to the hydrant for the company to use

water. The man allegedly stated that he had used an adapter for various hydrants for "more than 10 years."

HARASSMENT...A 34-year-old West Seneca woman was arrested after police responded to a Slate Creek Drive address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman came to the victim's address to visit another acquaintance, but later refused to leave the location. The victim also alleged that the woman threatened to "bust her in the mouth."

DWI...A 53-year-old Garland Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed and changing lanes without signalling as it traveled eastbound on William Street near Harlem Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .19.

OBSTRUCTING GOVERNMENT ADMINISTRATION... A 52year-old Rowland Avenue man was arrested after police responded to a 9-1-1 call from a female at the man's residence. Upon arrival, police were unable to open the door of the man's residence until the man came to the front door. The man, however, refused to let officers inside his home and later struggled with police until he was physically subdued and handcuffed.

SEPTEMBER 2

DWI/POSSESSION...Two 30-yearold Buffalo men were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the first 30-year-old pass through a stop sign on Holtz Drive near Aero Drive, then cross over double yellow lines on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the first 30-year-old, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the first 30-year-old had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .11. Breath test: refused. A background check revealed that the first 30-year-old's license was suspended and that the second 30-year-old had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged "crack" cocaine and $2,716 in the center console.

AUGUST 27

DWI...A 36-year-old Muskingum Street, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle go over a curb and nearly strike a utility pole while traveling on Penora Street near Gould Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired" speech. Police also observed two open containers of beer on the floor near the driver's seat. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

AUGUST 28

DWI...A 32-year-old Lemans Drive man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to the area of St. James and Muskingum streets on a report of a vehicle stuck on railroad tracks. Upon arrival, police observed the man's vehicle, which matched the report's description, on the tracks. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.

AUGUST 29

DWI...An 18-year-old Rossiter Avenue, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an accident on George Urban Boulevard in which the man's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed "extensive" damage to the man's and a victim's vehicles. The man and a victim were also involved in an altercation. Police determined the man's vehicle had struck the victim's vehicle on George Urban after the man had left a football draft party in which he allegedly consumed alcohol. The two then began fighting before police arrived. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired motor coordination." Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .16.
