AUGUST 20

DWI...A 56-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a fatal accident at the corner of Harlem Road near Walden Avenue. The woman reportedly attempted to drive through the scene southbound on incoming traffic lanes before police initiated a traffic stop. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .11.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 25year-old Edgebrook Estates man was arrested after a victim told police that tthe man had harassed her physically at an Edgebrook residence. The victim alleged that she and the man had gotten into an argument and that the man grabbed and ripped the victim's shirt. The man also allegedly pushed the victim to the ground and broke the victim's cellular phone. The man then reportedly threw keys at the victim and pushed her into a door of a neighbor's residence.

DWI...A 27-year-old Transit Road, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve between lanes while traveling eastbound on French Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated he had consumed two shots of liquor at a French Road tavern, and that he left his license at home. A background check revealed the man had a Maryland license, which was suspended, as well as two previous DWI convictions in Maryland in 1999 and 2004. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

ASSAULT...An 18-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to an Ivanhoe Road address on a report of a disturbance. Police observed the man and the victim traveling in a vehicle on Marne Road. The victim alleged that during an argument that the man pushed her, causing the victim to injure herself when she hit her head on a bathroom door. The man also reportedly grabbed and choked the victim.

S TA L K I N G / C R I M I NAL MISCHIEF...A 40-year-old Lackawanna man was arrested after police responded to an Autumnwood Drive address on a report of a dispute in which the man was involved. Upon an officer's arrival, the man drove away from the location in his vehicle, through a French Road tavern parking lot where an officer rammed the man's vehicle. The man continued onto a Towers Boulevard lawn, running a red light at the corner of French and Towers. The man's vehicle later crashed into a fence on Clinton Street, and police reportedly had to physically remove the man from his vehicle. Officers also forced the man to the ground to handcuff him, because Lutz resisted arrest. A victim at Autumnwood Drive told police the man had stalked her earlier.

POSSESSION...Two 18-year-old Lancaster men, as well as a 17-year-old Lancaster male, were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle, in which the three were occupants, swerve between lanes while traveling eastbound on Walden Avenue. A traffic stop was initiated and an officer observed the 17-year-old "stuff something" under the back seat. Police located four jars containing alleged marijuana under the front passenger seat, two alleged marijuana pipes in the center console and alleged marijuana inside the front seat pocket.

AUGUST 21

DWI...A 48-year-old Orchard Place woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an accident at a Dick Road address in which the woman's vehicle was involved. Upon arrival, police observed the woman sitting in her vehicle. While interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .05.

POSSESSION...A 30-year-old Clarence woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle in which the woman was a passenger traveling southbound on Harlem Road with inadequate brake lights. A traffic stop was initiated and both the woman and the driver reportedly told conflicting accounts of their whereabouts. An officer located alleged "crack" cocaine in the woman's purse.

RESISTING ARREST...A 32-yearold Garden Village Drive woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of an intoxicated minor. When police arrived, the woman reportedly stated she wanted her 17-year-old son, who according to police reports was "extremely intoxicated," taken to a hospital. The woman reportedly later yelled profanities at police and medical personnel, whom the 17-year-old allegedly threw punches toward. Police pepper-sprayed and subdued the 17-year-old, but the woman reportedly became violent and pushed officers, shouting more profanities. Police eventually subdued the woman and took her into custody.

AUGUST 22

HARASSMENT...A 41-year-old Glenwood Court woman was arrested after police responded to a Glenwood address on a report of the woman "causing a disturbance" in the neighborhood. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the woman had used profanity toward her and stated, "I'm going to kill you."

DWI...An 18-year-old Alden man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle operating without a bumper on Tamark Court near William Street, while two individuals "staggered out of the vehicle." A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .14.

POSSESSION...A 34-year-old man and 39-year-old man, both of Glenwood Court, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 34-year-old traveling eastbound on Genesee Street with its driver's view obstructed. A traffic stop was initiated and the men reportedly told police they were heading in a direction that was different from their actual route of travel. During a pat search, an officer located two plastic bags containing alleged "crack" cocaine and two plastic bags containing alleged marijuana in the 34year-old's possession, as well as a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana in the 39-year-old's possession.

POSSESSION...An 18-year-old Boll Street, Sloan man was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the man smoking alleged marijuana in the driveway of his residence. A background check revealed the man had an outstanding arrest warrant in West Seneca. During a pat search, an officer located a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana and a smoking pipe in the man's possession.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 32-year-old Garden Village Drive man was arrested after police responded to a Garden Village address on a report of a disturbance. Upon arrival, police observed the man and several others yelling profanities at each other until officers told them to stop. The man allegedly continued shouting profanities as a crowd gathered even after officers warned him to quiet down.

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police stopped the woman's vehicle, which was traveling on Reo Avenue near Walden Avenue, for having an expired inspection sticker. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected a strong odor of alleged marijuana coming from the interior. An officer also noticed in plain view a plastic bag containing alleged marijuana on the floor near the woman's feet.

AUGUST 23

POSSESSION...A 42-year-old man and 36-year-old man, both of Angola, were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police stopped a vehicle driven by the 42-yearold, which was traveling on the Kensington Expressway, for a traffic infraction. Upon approaching the vehicle, an officer observed the two occupants both reach toward the center console, as well as the 36-year-old pull an object out of his pocket. Both of the men reportedly appeared nervous, and the 42-yearold could not produce his identification. Police later observed an alleged marijuana pipe on the front passenger's seat where the 36-year-old had been sitting, as well as a white powder and pills, later determined to be Codeine, in the center console.

HARASSMENT...A 41-year-old Hampton, Virginia man was arrested after police responded to a Beach Road address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man rang the victim's doorbell, as well as knocked on her bedroom window for approximately two and one-half hours. The victim stated she did not want to see the man, and alleged that the man regularly called, e-mailed and visited her.

AUGUST 24

POSSESSION...A 24-year-old West Seneca woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman making "furtive movements" in her vehicle, which was traveling westbound onto Genesee Street from Transit Road. A traffic stop was initiated and the woman stated she "didn't have a license." A background check revealed the woman's license was suspended, and police determined the woman had attempted to conceal four beer cans. An officer located a plastic bag containing alleged cocaine in the woman's purse.

CRIMINAL POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 36-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police stopped the man's vehicle, which was traveling on Union Road, for a traffic infraction. A background check revealed that the vehicle's license plates belonged to another vehicle, which had been reported stolen.

DWI...A 60-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve between lanes on the Kensington Expressway and then on Harlem Road, George Urban Boulevard and Genesee Street, passing through a red light on Pine Ridge Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT/ CRIMINAL CONTEMPT...A 50year-old Pheasant Lane man was arrested after police responded to a Sebring Drive address on a report of a male threatening individuals. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man called a witness's cellular phone and threatened to harm the victim and two others. Police located the man, who was reportedly intoxicated, at his residence. Police also determined the victim has a stay-away order of protection against the man.

AUGUST 25

ASSAULT/POSSESSION... A 32year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to an Aero Drive adult entertainment club on a report of an assault. Upon an officer's arrival, a manager stated the man repeatedly walked into a women's locker room, even after the manager asked the man to stop doing so. After the manager asked the man to leave the location, the man reportedly swung his fist at a bouncer and the manager, causing the manager to sustain a cut. Security guards held the man until police arrived. An officer later located a bag containing alleged marijuana in the man's right front pants pocket.

DRIVING AFTER ALCOHOL CONSUMED...A 19-year-old Blasdell woman was arrested after police observed the woman's vehicle, with numerous items hanging from its rear view mirror, traveling southbound on Transit Road near French Road. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage. The woman at first denied drinking alcohol, then admitted she had consumed two shots of vodka at an acquaintance's residence. The woman also stated she was 19 years old. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .03.

DWI...A 56-year-old East Amherst man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to an accident on the New York State Thruway near Walden Avenue, in which the man's vehicle struck a victim's vehicle and then fled westbound on Walden. The victim reportedly followed the man's vehicle to a Walden address, where police arrived and initiated a traffic stop. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .12.

AGGRAVATED HARASSMENT... A 29-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Sebring Drive address on a report of harassment. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated the man had called the victim and demanded that the victim tell her son to "leave (the man's) wife alone." The victim stated that the man's wife works with the victim's son at a Lancaster store, and that the man allegedly stalked his wife. Lancaster Police stated they had been "on the lookout" for the man since August 22, and that they once found the man outside the Lancaster store with rope. Police later located the man walking in Buffalo and apprehended him.

AUGUST 26

DWI...A 27-year-old West Seneca man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Wagner Street, Sloan address on a report of a driver slumped over the steering wheel of his vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed the man slumped over his vehicle's steering wheel and drooling. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .15.

POSSESSION...A 41-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police observed the man's vehicle traveling westbound on Doat Street near Randolph Avenue with darkly tinted windows. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed the man's license was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located an alleged "crack" rock in the center of the dashboard, as well as a bag containing alleged cocaine in a speaker box.

HARASSMENT...A 41-year-old Williamstown Apartments man was arrested after police responded to a Glenwood Court address on a report of harassment. Upon arrival, a victim stated the man came to the victim's residence looking for her, and later threatened to kill her, before police arrived.

POSSESSION...A 27-year-old Lancaster woman was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed the woman's vehicle traveling eastbound on Doat Street with an expired inspection sticker. A traffic stop was initiated on Walden Avenue near Haller Avenue. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located alleged marijuana in a cigarette pack in the center console.

DWI...A 37-year-old Rio Rancho, New Mexico woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the woman's vehicle swerve over double yellow lines while traveling eastbound on Genesee Street near Rein Road. Police also observed the woman talking on her cellular phone and later initiated a traffic stop on Transit Road near Aero Drive. Upon interviewing the woman, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the woman had glassy eyes and slurred speech. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

DWI...A 27-year-old Tonawanda man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle swerve over double yellow lines while traveling westbound on Genesee Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated that he consumed eight beers at his acquaintance's residence and an Aero Drive adult entertainment club. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.

AUGUST 22

ASSAULT...A 27-year-old Argus Drive, Depew woman was arrested after police responded to a Donna Court address on a report of a road rage incident in which the woman was involved. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated his vehicle accidently cut in front of the woman's vehicle while traveling on Transit Road near Genesee Street. After the victim stopped his vehicle at an Airview Terrace location, the woman allegedly approached the victim's vehicle and pepper sprayed the victim. Police later located the woman at her residence.

AUGUST 23

DISORDERLY CONDUCT... A 44-year-old Muskingum Street man was arrested after police responded to Muskingum on a report of a loose animal. Upon arrival, police observed the man who was reportedly near his dog, which matched the report's description. The man reportedly became belligerent when police asked him to secure the dog, using profanity and making obscene gestures.

AUGUST 24

TRESPASSING...A 26-year-old Main Street, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Main address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated she asked the man to leave her residence earlier, but that the man refused to exit the location before police arrived.

AUGUST 25

POSSESSION OF STOLEN PROPERTY...A 31-year-old Harlan Street, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Marrano Drive address on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, sitting outside the residence. A background check revealed that the man had an outstanding bench warrant in Buffalo. During a pat search, an officer also located an alleged "crack" pipe in the man's pants pocket, as well as a cellular phone and four credit cards that belonged to a victim.
