RUNNERS-UP...
The South Cheektowaga Fire 16 and Under Softball Team recently advanced to the Connie Mack Tournament championship in Amherst before losing to Grand Island, 7-3. The locals defeated Immaculata in the semifinals, 11-3, as well as Grand Island (4-3) and North Tonawanda (10-2) in the tournament. The Fire also participated in out-of-town tournaments in Victor and Shenandoah, Pennsylvania as well as other Western New York tournaments.
