| A bomb squad from the Erie County Sheriff's Department was called to St. Joseph Hospital on Monday afternoon after a suspicious package was found around 2:20.
Cheektowaga and NFTA police responded to the facility as well.
Activity at the hospital indicated business as usual, as employees and visitors appeared to be freely entering and leaving the building.
Officials have not released additional information, but two employees leaving the building told the Times that a package discovered in the building raised suspicion.
Update, 5:45 p.m.: The bomb squad removed the item, and found that there was no threat.
