CRIMINAL MISCHIEF...A 29- year-old Losson Road, Depew man was arrested after police responded to a Nagel Drive address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police determined that during an argument a victim locked herself in a room away from the man. The man then damaged the door to the room by hitting it with his hand.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 32-year-old Creekside Drive woman was arrested after police responded to the woman's address on a report of a fight. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated The woman broke the victim's cellular phone in half and "threw it around in a vehicle." The woman also allegedly knocked the victim to the ground and punched the victim's head several times, causing various lacerations and bruising. The woman later kicked and damaged the front door of the residence.

DWI...A 34-year-old Amherst man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling northbound on Harlem Road, at 54 miles per hour in a 35 mph speed zone. The man's vehicle also passed through a red light at Maryvale Drive and a traffic stop was initiated. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed The man had bloodshot eyes and "slightly slurred" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

FALSE PERSONATION/ FORGERY...A 37-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Galleria department store on a report of shoplifting. Upon arrival, police observed theman, who matched the report's description, and took him into custody. The man reportedly gave police a false name, but a background check revealed his actual identity. During the booking process, the man reportedly signed a false name to a fingerprint card.

ASSAULT...A 52-year-old Garden Village Drive man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police determined that the man choked a victim and threatened to kill her.

February 26

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 31-year-old Windwood Court man was arrested after police responded to the man's address on a report of a dispute. Upon arrival, police determined that the man slashed the tires on a victim's vehicle.

FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER...A 29-yearold Windwood Court man was arrested after police responded to the man's address to conduct a warrant search. Upon arrival, police determined that the man had an active arrest warrant in Rochester because he had failed to register as a Level 1 sex offender. The man reportedly never notified the Sex Offense Registry that he has lived in Cheektowaga for years.

LARCENY...A 22-yer-old Buffalo woman was arrested after police responded to a Thruway Plaza store on a report of a larceny. Upon arrival, a complainant stated that the woman, who is a store employee, took $200 from the cash register. The woman admitted to taking the money and was taken into custody.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF... A 46-year-old Claudette Court man was arrested after police responded to a Claudette residence on a report of an unwelcome guest. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, in the kitchen. A victim stated that the man came to the residence intoxicated and reportedly stated, "I'm going to smash your head in." The man also threw the victim's phone into the back yard, breaking the item.

POSSESSION...A 19-year-old Armond Lane man and a 22-yearold Transit Road, Depew man were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after officers responded to a Brookedge Road residence to assist the Cheektowaga Police Detectives in executing an arrest warrant. Upon arrival, police located alleged marijuana in both of the men's possessions.

February 27

LARCENY...A 32-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested after a police investigation determined that the woman had stolen $30 worth of gas from a Walden Avenue gas station on four separate occasions. The woman later admitted to committing the alleged thefts.

February 28

POSSESSION...Two 19-year-old Buffalo men were arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police observed a vehicle driven by the second 19-year-old pass through a red light at the intersection of William and Frederick streets. A traffic stop was initiated and upon approaching the vehicle, an officer detected an odor of marijuana coming from the interior. The first 19- year-old reportedly stated that he and the second 19-year-old had smoked marijuana and that he had marijuana on his seat. Police located four plastic bags containing alleged marijuana and an alleged marijuana pipe on the front passenger's seat. A background check revealed that the first 19-year-old had an arrest warrant in Buffalo.

POSSESSION...A 28-year-old Hamburg man was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police responded to a Union Road address on a report of a male "passed out" in his vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed the man, who matched the report's description, sleeping in his vehicle with an alleged "crack" pipe on his lap.

ASSAULT...A 19-year-old Kaufman Road man was arrested after police responded to a Harlem Road address on a report of a male beating a female. Police located the man, who matched the report's description, along with a victim at the intersection of Harlem Road and McParlin Avenue. The victim stated that the man grabbed and pushed her several times, then punched her in the face.

TAMPERING WITH PHYSICAL EVIDENCE...A 46-year-old Brockport man and 26-year-old Buffalo man were arrested after police observed a vehicle driven by the 46- year-old traveling eastbound on Doat Street with a loud muffler. A traffic stop was initiated on Euclid Avenue, and a background check revealed that the 46-year-old's license was suspended and that the 26-year-old, who was a passenger, had an outstanding arrest warrant in Buffalo. Police later located alleged marijuana in the back seats of patrol cars in which the men had been sitting.

March 1

POSSESSION...A 34-year-old Buffalo woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed the woman's's vehicle traveling westbound on Reiman Street with a loud muffler. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the woman, an officer observed a rock-like substance, later determined to be "crack" cocaine, on the driver's seat. During a search of the vehicle, police found stuffed inside the driver's seat an alleged "crack" pipe with residue.

POSSESSION...A 41-year-old Buffalo man was arrested for criminal possession of marijuana after police responded to a Genesee Street address on a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, police observed The man in his vehicle, holding an alleged marijuana pipe. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located two envelopes containing alleged marijuana on the driver's seat and one envelope containing alleged marijuana on the dashboard.

March 2

POSSESSION...A 44-year-old Hoerner Avenue woman and 43- year-old Buffalo woman were arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after police observed a vehicle driven by the 44- year-old back up under a traffic signal on Doat Street near Pine Ridge Road. A traffic stop was initiated and a background check revealed that the vehicle's registration was suspended. During a search of the vehicle, an officer located a bag containing alleged cocaine residue under the front passenger's seat, as well as a prescription bottle with alleged cocaine on the back seat.

DWI...A 55-year-old Currier Street, Sloan man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police responded to a Currier address on a report of a vehicle stuck in a snow bank. Upon arrival, police observed the man in the driver's seat. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had glassy, bloodshot eyes and slurred speech. The man reportedly stated he was traveling to purchase pop and cigarettes. An officer observed that the man had urinated in his pants. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: .23. A background check revealed that the man's license was suspended for a previous DWI conviction in February 2006, making this arrest a felony.

March 3

ASSAULT...A 21-year-old West Seneca man was arrested after police responded to a Harlem Road address to check on the welfare of an individual. Upon an officer's arrival, a victim stated that the man threw the victim's phone during an argument. The man also allegedly grabbed the victim's hair, slapped her and "smacked" the victim's head against a wall several times. The man also reportedly refused to let the victim leave the residence, blocking the driveway.

GRAND LARCENY...A 20- year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police responded to a Walden Avenue flea market on a report of a larceny and subsequent hit-and-run accident in which the man's vehicle was involved. Police located the man's vehicle, which had extensive front-end damage, at a Walden gas station. A victim stated that several juveniles had distracted him while the man took a $2,200 charm from a flea market stand.

TRESPASSING...A 21-year-old Buffalo man was arrested after police observed a man yelling at and shaking a toddler in Walden Galleria. After police confronted the man, the man, who was with the man, reportedly kept interrupting officers and refused to back away several times. The man also refused to leave the mall and was taken into custody.

February 23

DWI...A 74-year-old Messer Avenue man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle cut off another vehicle and swerve between lanes while traveling northbound on Sanilac Street near Main Street. A traffic stop was initiated and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and slurred speech. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: .17. Breath test: refused.

February 25

DWI...A 45-year-old Transit Road, Depew man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police observed the man's vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed while heading eastbound on George Urban Boulevard. A traffic stop was initiated on Transit Road and the man was reportedly unable to produce his license. Upon interviewing the man, an officer detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, watery eyes and "impaired" speech. Field sobriety tests were administered and the man refused both an alco sensor and breath test.

February 26

POSSESSION...A 49-year-old Lockport woman was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance after officers brought the woman to police headquarters on a separate charge. Police located four white Hydrocodone pills in the woman's purse.

March 1

DWI...A 35-year-old Mount Pleasant, South Carolina man was arrested for driving while intoxicated after police radar paced the man's vehicle, which was traveling southbound on Transit Road, at approximately 80 miles per hour in a 30 mph speed zone. A traffic stop was initiated near George Urban Boulevard and upon interviewing the man, an officer detected an odor of an alcoholic beverage and noticed the man had bloodshot, glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were administered. Alco sensor: positive. Breath test: refused.
